Beijing Diner Takeaway in Breckland

Called to order as previously had ordered and paid by card , this time was told it’s bank transfer or cash only! Very strange & dubious!

Sent me a piece of burnt, dry duck; phoned up to complain (15 minutes on hold/ not getting through) then they thought I was asking for a free meal! So sent back the rubber ducky (not touched not eaten). No apology not even free prawn crackers. Been ordering for 5 years. Last time as had to let my friends and family eat before me for the wait on the phone and for the food I paid for. Just we’re done unacceptable food and attitude. I should add the cashier is lovely and very professional, as the Chinese lady in the back is cussing me out. 10/10 to her.

Just moved near Swaffham and wanted takeaway first time ordered from here but will definitely order again. The food was one of the best if not the best Chinese I have eaten. Thought price for amount and quality o food was very good. Ok we did wait a bit but was a Saturday night and live 6.5 miles from takeaway so understood. Would defiantly order from here again as very impressed.

We have had about 6 meals from here after moving to the area and everything has always been great. Recommend.

Crispy aromatic duck was far from crispy. It was very fatty and tasted "lardy". The dog will enjoy it for his breakfast. The rest of the food was quite bland, a bit like Chinese food was in the 1980's. You are far better off spending 20 minutes heating one of the chilled meals from Waitrose. Far tastier, better prepared and presented. It would also be cheaper. A shame as we were looking forward to an authentic Chinese take away. We will not be going back.

1st time and ordered a delivery. Called and at 17.28 was told expect in about 30 mins. Arrived in about 15 mins..piping hot! Aromatic duck was sooo crispy as was the chilli salt chicken wings. Fried rice and singapore noodles were really big portions. Kung Po chicken and spicy szechuan prawns a good size ..only comment would have liked a little more spice but overall good meal and will definitely use again! Only comment …frustrating trying to get through on phone and to have to pay cash on delivery! Perhaps could consider setting up a website and order online! But food good!

Have this quite regular with my niece at her house she has it delivered she gets a variety of things so we can share with her children I like the beef chop suey and the sweet and sour chicken balls.

First time getting a take away from The Beijing. Excellent choice of food, great value. The food was cooked well and good portion sizes. Will eat here again.

The food was very well cooked indeed. Chips were lovely and crispy which is unusual. The sweet and sour sauce is superb.

We’ve been ordering from this Chinese ever since we moved locally 2 years ago! It was great to find a good Chinese that would delivery only issue we’ve found since lockdown is it’s very hard to get through to their phone line some days I’ve been trying for nearly an hour to get through only to give up, and a major out off is they only accept cash. I’m disabled and can’t get out much and don’t have cash in the house. Who’s using cash now anyway with corona, and is much safer by card! I miss ordering from them, we’d have one at least 3 times a month but not had any now for a few months hoping they will progress with the times.

Absolutely fantastic- probably the best Chinese we’ve ever had. Just moved to the area and fancied a Chinese takeaway - as you’d expect we were worried what it would be like (when you ve been used to a great takeaway for several years), but we needn’t have worried. Friendly service & fantastic food- will definitely be back. Only downside was that they only accept cash, but as we were collecting not an issue as a quick trip to cash machine but if being delivered, not many people carry much cash these days.

We ordered a takeaway from here last night. It was awful. Chow mein tasted burnt. The chicken used in all the dishes looked boiled and not very appetising. Chicken with yellow bean sauce had a very strange taste and was packed with diced carrot's, the house special rice was some rice with a concoction of vegetables, meat etc dumped on top. Sadly we had to throw most of it away. We will not be ordering from there again. Very disappointed!!

Being visitors to the area, we picked The Beijing having found it on-line. Having ordered the food over the phone, it arrived very promptly and was piping hot. All of the dishes were so delicious - the Thai green curry, sweet and sour chicken balls, prawn toast, satay chicken and others, were all enjoyed by all members of the family. And not a drop of grease in sight, which isn't always the case for Chinese takeaways. This was definitely one of the best Chinese takeaways that we've ever eaten and we are already looking forward to our next meal from The Beijing!

I was a bit nervous about ordering from here because I tried this place a couple of years ago and it was not very good. I am pleased to say that this time round it was much better and quality has improved greatly. Food was delivered at the agreed time and came piping hot despite me living six miles away. Almost everything I had was very good. Crispy Chilli Beef was excellent, very thick chunky and crispy pieces of Beef 5 out of 5 Sweet and Sour King Prawns where also excellent and not greasy 5 out of 5 Shredded fried smoked chicken could have down with a bit more flavor ( I would recommend the Chinese use a better quality smoked paprika to get a better taste) 4 out of 5 House Special Curry, full of flavor and came as extra hot as requested 5 out of 5 Mixed seafood with chilli and lemon grass was bursting with flavour and delicious, but they were a bit tight with the fish and the dish could have done with a couple more prawns considering the cost, so I am scoring 4 out of 5 for that. Overall I would score this restaurant as 4.5 out of 5 Much better quality, happy customer and will defiantly use again.

Almost put off due to a FB review regarding delivery of cold food. So pleased we gave it a go...best Chinese food we have eaten in a long time. Delivered on time - & food was both piping hot & delicious. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Living in a rural area, it's a) hard to find anyone who delivers and b) to find a good takeaway restaurant. Beijing Diner's food is fresh, tasty with a great selection and delivery is fast , and even better, they are the cheapest takeaway for miles. Highly recommend them for quality of food, price and delivery.

The food was excellent, ready in a very reasonable time and service was great. Newer than the other take away in town but gives them a run for their money

Has been good but last few weeks delivered food has been cold when delivered don't know why but meal tonight was so cold it was congealing when I rang I was told I ordered it too early ?????whats that about wont use again

Have contacted but no reply.Poisoned 9 of us at a friend's party.Reported to the council as symptoms so severe. This was from the rice!Given them a chance to respond but have not returned any calls or e-mails please avoid This poisoning was severe and meant time off work next day if this had been a child they could have ended up hospitalized!!!

Had a takeaway from here and we wasn't disappointed. The food was great, very tasty and plentiful. I have no hesitation on useing this place again.

Staying at the Breckland Meadows caravan site. Ordered a huge meal tonight (Saturday night) for delivery.It was here in great time, piping hot and a very friendly and helpful deliverer.No grease, which is always a worry when trying a different takeaway. Especially with sweet and sour balls. Absolutely perfectThe best chinese we've ever had!

Just moved to the area and had my first Chinese take away and got to say am extremely disappointed.The portion size was dreadful considering the high cost.Mongolian Lamb @ £6.50 and there was no way enough to fill 3 pancakes let alone 6, the container was mainly lettuce.Chicken Satay was not much better.The only good thing going for it was the crispy chilli Beef.Hope this is not a sign of takeaway qualities in the country or I will have to move back to the city lol.

This has been a regular Take Out for us,since moving to Swaffham last October,and discovering how good the food is. We had two excellent Chinese TakeOuts,in Olney,where we used to live, but Beijing is as good,maybe better!

I recently moved to swaffham and tried this Chinese takeaway as it was possible to look at the menu online. The menu is extensive and has many of the usual dishes and some less common ones.

We stopped using here for a while as twice we got food poisoning and ridiculas waiting times but last few times we've used them the food has been fab and the delivery times have been very quick.

Had chinese tonight going well until put on my plate beef curry I have seen stronger water than this beef told 10 - 15 minutes for pickup but over half an hour offered 10% off next order don't think so what a insult

if you like Chinese food you will love this take way... mmmmmmmm really nice clean establishment and friendly staff

Just moved into the area and decided to treat ourselves to a chinese. Very happy with the food, much better than any of the chineses that I've had in Norwich.

An unexpected pleasure, food Good very tasty. The services was really good. Very good value.The owner found out it was my birthday and gave me a small xmas tree decoration very sweet. I would recomend going.

Used this take away at least ones a month,never had a problem of any sort,food is hot and they don't scrimp on portion size,staff is always pleasant and service is fast considering they are very busy at most of the time.

Good delivery service plus they are really helpful . We have always had good food from here, but getting through to them when they are busy is difficult sometimes and then you have to wait for an hour for your food.

The last few months they seem to have gone downhill....we ordered a couple months back and were told would be with us in about 45minutes....hour and a half past by, nothing, so called them and was told that "its now heading out the door"...funny that....20mins later, it arrived (we live 5 mins away but couldn't collect as little one was in bed)...!! Anyway, we hadn't used them since as their attitude about that wasn't very good nor professional....but we used them again last night, as the food is nice. Once again, late delivery....we were told an hour this time, almost 2 hours later we called up asking where it was, was offered no apology, and no type of discount until my partner asked...they took £2 off the order...once again, it was "just heading out the door"...food came 10minutes later, food seemed ok, until later when my partner started being sick, he had different from us so it didn't effect us, but I looked at the left overs in the fridge this morning to see if the meat was ok from his meal and the chicken was pinkish in the middle!! Not happy and certainly will not be using ever again!! Shocking delivery estimations and no apology followed by food poisoning....!! No thanks, good job I didn't have what he did as I'm heavily pregnant and food poisoning is the last thing ild want!!

Have just finished my first meal from the bejing and I'm stuffed. Finally tried them after being told they deliver, was told 45 mins but 30 later it arrived. HOT. Fantastic food, great delivery guy. This is now our takeaway go to place. Well done. Definatly going to recommend to my friends.

Whilst staying in Swaffham had another excellent takeaway from here. I've read reviews about delivery times, it is very busy so I always collect. Takes five minutes and today I called before I collected twenty mins I was advised called round in fifteen and came out as I was paying. Food tasted lovely and all well cooked. Staff always friendly & helpful. It's worth the battle to get parked to use this takeaway

Ordered at 20:10 on a Saturday. Fair enough it's a Saturday so would be a wait. Got told an hour to an hour and half. 21:45 we ring to be told that it would be 10-15 mind. But when the lady double checked they wasn't sure. Didn't apologise. Didn't say they would send it out then. We ordered 5 items. If they can't keep up with orders. Don't keep taking them. I would never use again as it's now 10pm and I haven't had any tea. Ridiculous service.

Spent day with family fanicied chinese only gripe is chicken balls wernt cooked still pink and contained blood rest of meal lovely at least the cat loved the chicken balls just make sure you cook things properly

Delivery can be slow during busy periods, but is generally within the 45mins they always say it will take. Food is very consistent; hot and tasty! This makes for an easy decision whether or not to use again ... and again ... and again! Mini Spring Rolls (5), sweetcorn soup and duck with ginger & spring onion are stellar! Highly recommended!

This take-away restaurant are fast and efficient, the food is hot and fresh, I think it's the best Chinese take-away in Swaffham.
