Great service, excellent food and spot on delivery service!

Ordered a takeaway for 6pm and was advised by the young lady that took my order "cash only" when you pick up your order £34. We got home in anticipation of a delicious Chinese meal. What a disappointment! It was under seasoned and bland. One of the dishes we ordered was shredded smoked chicken it was awful and tasted of nothing like I'd had before (not from here). We ordered a mixed starter the ribs and the chicken skewers did not look or taste freshly cooked! What a waste of money. On a positive note the prawn crackers were fresh and a free add on.

Don't waste your time. If you cannot afford to go to Dignitas this is a great place for anyone who is trying to commit suicide. Disgusting food, clearly not fresh, havnt seen the cat since we dished it up. Will never visit again

as good as the food is the service is absoulutely shocking to say the least , one day we waited 3 hours to get our food and today we have waited 2 hours , will not be ordering from here again!

Best takeaway in Dereham. Check out there, munchie boxs can take a while bit comes properly cooked.. 💯 percent recommended.

We eat here at least once a month if not more. We have delicious salt and pepper prawns and spring rolls . The crispy chilli beef is super. This week it was all down sized in plastic containers not the larger foil and the condition of the food suffered. Wet,battered prawns..Soggy, not crisp spring rolls. At £39.00 it’s not good enough. Sad it was a disappointing evening meal.

After years of being a customer of Hong Kong City in Dereham the service today 26/11/22 was shocking. Ordered a takeaway to be told it would an hour to an hour and a half. Fair enough they’re busy. Two hours later, no meal. Phoned to chase to be told it would be with us in twenty minutes. Half an hour later still no meal, phoned again to be told the order was third in line to be cooked. Needless to say we cancelled. Never again! Not even an apology.

Do not be put off by the external appearance of this place. The food was really good and the portions huge. I ordered dishes that I normally order at home bur these lasted two meals. If I lived locally I would be twice the size I am now!

Ordered two items only to find they had messed up the order.

Was staying in The Middle of Nowhere some Hamlet Nr Mattishall called Clippings Green. Ordered with a One Hour estimate Which was about the Time only took a Couple calls from The Delivery Lady and Sent My Boy Out in The Road to Shine a Torch to locate us. Food was hot tasty and Good Size Portions especially The Long Box . Thanks a lot for the Good Service.

We were recommended this by a local who Uses the takeaway regularly, we are on holiday & wanted some guidance, so glad we did a Most satisfiable meal was had by us all, will definitely be ordering food again, Thank you.

Best chinese in Dereham. All the others are good, But hong kong city never disappoints. We live in Mattishall and it always turns up, very hot, very very tasty and on time...

First time ordering from this takeaway restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. We ordered the mega box deal which was amazing! Only reason I am giving 4 stars is because even though we preordered for a delivery time of 5:45pm we still ended up waiting around 25 minutes. It was a Saturday night during lockdown though so I understand the wait!

Always a very polite, prompt service. We nearly always order and collect, never waited more than half an hour from time of order. Plus the food is consistently yummy!

Absolutely excellent food, good portion size and very well spiced, Bang on! We’d use it every time, the only reason we don’t is that they don’t accept card payments, only cash. I never use cash these days, all my spends are on switch. Reckon they are losing trade, they’ve certainly lost mine!

We have been using Hong Kong City for years and we have never had a bad meal from them, the staff are always lovely and you get good portions. The prices are low but the food is good quality ! Well worth a try.

I ordered from here as our local Chinese was shut. The battered food was anemic looking. The food was either bland or spicy, apart from that no flavours. The crispy chilli beef was floppy. Won’t be going here again as we like flavoursome food, this is more of a night out on the last food on the way home kinda place.

We regularly use this Chinese takeaway, they deliver and on the rare occasions we have an item wrong they will always correct the problem. Definitely worth using!!

Whenever we visit the grandparents we have a Chinese take away and these days that is Hong Kong City. This time the food was nice and tasty, having made sure in advance that some previous mistakes were not repeated. Probably the biggest thing to look out for is that some of the food can be quite spicy. Ask in the order for the mild version if that is an issue.

What a great meal ordered meal for 5 plus couple of other bits enough left for us all tomorrow really good food reccamend to every one

I have been using Hong Kong City for several years for takeaway meals, they are always excellent. The delivery staff are speedy and polite. The food is very good, by far the best Chinese takeaway in town.

Simply the best Chinese will always make a hot dish hotter if u wish or ad or take out ingredients so you can have it the way you want and they remember how u like it sometimes a long wait at peak times but worth it

My favourite Chinese!!! Good food, good service - worth the wait for delivery at peak times... and only one order error in about 8 years!!! Fully recommend and would give an extra star if possible!!!

Food was poor, very little taste to both dishes. Was told to collect in 15 minutes but waited 35 minutes in total. Won't go back.
