Nicest Chinese I've had for a long time

This was once a very good Chinese takeaway but has been taken over by different owners the menu is the same as it was with the previous owners but the food has changed for the worse it’s all to greasy and bland shocking it is.

Would NEVER order from here again my usual Chinese was shut, full house delivery over an hour, ordered full house special fried rice to share and it was literally tasteless slop under the veg and and chicken / pork meat of which there was only a couple of slices of each with only one prawn in the whole dish also nearly all the water chestnuts had black bits in them and the pancake roll should be called a “bean sprout” roll because there was literally nothing else in it, thanks but no thanks !!

Great food and the prices were reasonable.

Have had delivery last 2 Saturdays and both times the food was noy very, very disappojnting as have always used and not had any problems before

We had a takeaway delivery and the food came piping hot, fresh cooked and the girl who delivered was so lovely and friendly. Highly recommend them. thank you so much we will definitely be ordering from you again xxx

Ordered for delivery. Prompt arrival and the food was the best I’ve had for many years. Sauces were thick and coatings were crispy. Not like the thin soggy dishes you usually get at a takeaway. Definitely will be going back.

Lovley food , delicious set, duck with vegetables in a delicious sauce, a portion of pasta with vegetables and sauce. I've ordered this once before. I'll be coming back for sure.

Kung po chicken was amazing, chicken chow mein was very dry. Chips lovely, bar b q sauce was nasty, too salty but over all review i would recommend 👌

I've always had excellent food but sadly the standard has dropped considerably.

This Chinese has changed hands it is now very poor, the takeaway we had was nasty, tough chicken, tasteless food, burnt rice, and a spring roll that was so full of oil that we couldn’t eat it at all, most of this meal went in the bin, times are hard and we have to save for a meal, a complete waste of money, and overall a very poor meal, all for £28. We used to enjoy the food from here, but we wont be having anymore from here and will be advising our friends and family not too.

Good quality and quantity delivered on time as usual.

The food was a real let down, cold gloopy food, and really over salted, the prawn balls were really over cooked, a real shame as we have had some good ones, time to leave it alone for a while, it might improve, they need to think that people will only keep coming back if its good and value for money and at the moment its expensive poor food!!

Excellent service and experience, fast order readiness. Saddly there's no online service or app other wise would be better to order. But that's noting compared to great service. Order weekly. Especially for sweet and sour pork, prawns and chicken balls.

Disgusting cold burnt food! Delivered one hour late with burnt cold very salty food! New owners definitely will not be using again! Awful

This was the best Chinese takeaway in Thetford …what happened! Price increases which is understandable,no problem. But the quality is not the same as it was , both beef dishes and chicken dishes were awful , obviously cheaper cuts. ..tough beef and chewy chicken. Egg fried rice hadn’t been fried with very little egg content. Vegetable chow mein was dry and tasteless absolutely no flavour at all. Total waste of money and haven’t returned since. Very disappointing.

Appalling service "we don't deal with complaints we only take orders" what a service. Over an hours wait when told it would be 15 minutes and food is cold and greasy. Full House Special Cowmain- no sauce 1 prawn & 2 tiny pieces of chicken. It seems old habits are still very much in use here. Won't be using it again.

Good food but too expensive. 2 mains and a small rice should not cost £20. Phoenix house is the same quality and much more affordable.

The worst Chinese I have ever put to my mouth, I had just ordered it and was excited to try it while I am on holiday but it was very salty and inedible. We scraped away 5 plate fulls, the people who gave good reviews lied.

Awful! Will never order again! Very simply the nastiest Chinese takeaway, I’ve ever encountered, hands down!

I have been using this restaurant since I was 16, 31 years ago. And even though only usually have chicken curry, special or Singapore special fried rice. And sometimes Chow Mein. This is ny far rhe best takeaway Chinese take away in Thetford. Especially the curry. Second to none. Can be a bit of a wait. But this is because the food is so good. Highly recommend

The best Chinese food takeaway for miles we have been using this place for 25 years ..the food is always delicious and piping hot when it's delivered or collected,the lady behind the counter is super nice as are the delivery folks. Best in Norfolk.

Honestly the best Chinese in thetford , I’m obsessed with there chicken noodle soup and I call for it all the time, I’ve tried from every single one in thetford and none are as nice as this place, good pricing on food, the food in general is amazing ! And great staff ! , strongly advise to order from here

Been using this take away for years as have tried a few others but none come close even if it's an 18 mile round trip. Never had a bad meal and it's always busy. Ring early for Saturday nights as always very busy.

Ordered the pork balls. Pork was chewy and tasteless. First time I have ever thrown a Chinese away. Like to know why you have to wait longer for your food if you pay by card rather than cash

Always good. They are therefore very busy. Take no notice of Tripadvisor review from Valerie Akers. It's the bad ones that can answer the phone immediately, Silly! They are the ones that are not busy

Can't remember how many times we have ordered from Full House, but every time has never failed to disappoint. Great price, great food, great quantity and quality. I can highly recommend Full House Chinese Takeaway.

Can’t comment on 5he food as no one ever answers the phone to take an order. I could accept the line being engaged, but it’s rather frustrating to get through several times and staff put the phone down. Gave up after an hour. Had a delicious Indian take away from the establishment next door instead.

We went for a set meal for 4. Wow what a great choice of food there was. So so tasty and cooked really quickly. I use a lot of Chinese takeaways. This one is off the beaten track as its on a housing estate well worth making the trip to find it.

Good choice of food from this Chinese which has been in Thetford for many years. Always friendly and very helpful. Food delivered very quickly and always hot. If you like Chinese food and reasonable price and delivered would recommend.

I realise that you were busy tonight but the chicken balls were dry and tough, and not sure if the recipe has changed but the spring rolls were full of a grey looking mixture with a strange taste. Have a taste guys and see what you think .

Always consistent good food, portion size is good too. The black bean sauce is tasty with a little bit of a kick to it .. just the way I like it! Chips are nice, always hot fresh and crisp. Why there isn’t more good reviews on this Takeaway I do not no !

Lady who takes telephone orders is very polite and helpful ... if you want a dish adjusted to your preference she always accommodates. Always find the food very good and flavoursome,a favourite of mine being vegetables in, Black Bean Sauce. My family enjoy their meals too, always. Thank you .

I believe this Chinese takeaway also had a buffet in Bury St Edmunds there food there was excellent. But what has gone wrong with the takeaway in THETFORD. This was one to go to for great food but not anymore. I ordered several rice dishes but when I got home and opened the containers oh dear full of oil the rice was obviously fried in to much cooking oil. Making it soggy and unhealthy to eat. I did complain and was told the next order would not be charged for. Well the next order a few days later was the same just greasy. It’s a shame because this was one of the best takeaway in THETFORD. Hope they see this complaint and rectify this problem.

Have had two takeaways from here since the business reopened, very nice food, generous portions and a good choice for vegetarians! Nice to see ! Prices are very fair too.

Food is really good. The only downside is you can't pay by card, they really should offer this.

Loved the sweet and sour sauce served here. Chicken balls were really nice and crisp too ordered some for a quiet night in. Very well priced for the portion sizes you receive would recommend.

The food is generally very nice but it depends which chef is cooking. The weekend food is far better than midweek. The chicken balls and rice dishes are very good. The noodles are good one day and then have a funny after taste the next usually caused by the onions or bean sprouts not being fresh. Overall nice Chinese on it's day but prefer Wongs near Travelodge in town.

I've always said this was the best Chinese but not anymore really don't know what's gone wrong food isent as tasty chicken chow main has lost it taste and food is very greasy very disappointed sesame prawn toast very soggy greasy what a waste

Este solía ser la mejor comida china para llevar, pero Dios mío lo que ha sucedido. . Este lugar ha ido cuesta abajo ya sea debido a la complacencia o nuevo chef, etc. pero la comida es asquerosa, secador quemada quemado insípido chowmein pelotas de cerdo y como 4 las costillas bien duro y correosos enedible estoy seguro recalentadas. . Totalmente pérdida de dinero no volver a utilizar. Como el uso de la pena. el mejor pero debe ser la peor. .

Both times I have used this place, the food was bland and covered in what can only be described as watered-down gravy. Simply the worst Chinese I have ever tasted!

Muy cantidades generosas y sabor muy agradable. Señora educado en el teléfono mi pedido, se llena los fines de semana, así que les recomendamos que sonaba su pedido a través de antes de recoger. Decepcionante que no abren los martes de... Traté de llamar ese día para comida para llevar sin éxito, sería útil si deja un mensaje de respuesta indicando que no están abiertas... Entonces fui a la ciudad para una comida para llevar china pero no era ni de lejos tan buena como la tuya! (lección aprendida)

Visiting thetford thought we would try my favourite sweet and sour chicken and chips with prawn toast and spring rolls, a complete disaster the chicken batter balls were over cooked and very greasy the chips were like the oven cooked variety and warm whilst the the spring rolls were the size of one chip and the prawn toast had never been near a prawn the sauce wasn't bad but had no peppers or pineapple in it.Having read previous reviews all I can think is they must be easily pleased or I got the night that the dishwasher was doing the cooking.

we love this chinese, have tried the others in Thetford but this one is the best in my opinion. gets very busy so recommend that you phone your order in and they can deliver

great takeaway best in thetford staff are always very friendly & helpful but does get very busy and they do have a delivery service which all drivers are always happy and very polite and food is very tasty if you haven't tried this takeaway yet you are missing out on a great meal

Hemos usado este Chino durante años han estado siempre muy satisfechos con el servicio. Ahora hemos cambiado pero sin recoger y llevar una casa china desde allí.

No orden muy a menudo desde aquí ya que el tiempo de espera es un poco largo (hora a una hora y media a veces) así que a menos de que alguien es recoger información, no funcionaba.

Takeaway - delivery.Food was 45 minutes late and luke warm. No discount offered - just told they had been really busy. In fact, when I rang to find out what was happening with the food I was told I had rung a private number - this was not the case as I checked the phone log - so make of that what you will. Opened up the food and found that the sesame toasts were burnt, that the special curry had just a couple of prawns in it and that most of the food was extremely greasy. My son had soup and it was like water. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Always friendly, great food and in my opinion the best in Thetford. This is sometimes a pain though as the delivery time on a Saturday is lengthy!

Fantastic!!Great menu, and the food is always really nice.Set menus are a great option if you're struggling to decide!!The option of delivery, which is normally very quick, is a bonus.

Now this is the best Chinese in town service and food is allways top class and delivery is quite fast but they do get very busy 10out of 10

This chinese buffett is a great restaraunt in the heart of Bury St Edmunds. The multiple choices offered will fill you up with something different everytime we go. The waiting staff is very helpful and the price is very reasonable for what you are getting.

no dislikes, just nice hot food, always topped up and Disabled friendly, just like a takeaway but with seating and more fresh food..

30/03/2013 I usually try chinese in centre of thetford but husband wanted Raj so i got my bits here as its next door.Omg, so bad.There was a hair in the bag which i removed, it wasn't in the food containers but then- The chicken was a strange colour and smelt so so so bad i couldnt eat any. I felt sick. Obviously out of date frozen stuff, dry and falling to bits. disgusting, wouldnt even feed it to my dogs.My rice was reheated and tasteless (i've worked in the food industry and know fresh food) Overall so disappointed. Loosing £10 down a drain would be more appealing to eating there again. Will stick to the restaurant in town with the 5* hygeine score!! Lady on phone when ordering was very helpful however, but she obviously wasn't cooking!!!

Rang up and ordered an hour before et wanted it, as they do get busy at the weekend. Absolutely lovely, I would say one of the best in thetford .

the takeaway service is excellant in thetford however the buffet in bury has no atmosphere or ambiance it resembles a schol dinner hall

Best takeaway in Thetford. Pity it doesn't have a restaurant. Would be very welcome addition to town.
