The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Dreadful experience. Arrived at 8.15 to a frosty reception - "the kitchen closes at 9" we were informed. Service was quick but sullen. At 9 they even turned the heating off and cleared the table while we were still sitting! One female waiter even pushed me in her hurry to grab the plates! Food ok but there are many more welcoming restaurants to choose from.

The food was ok, but the young waitress was so rude. She was ruthlessly singing a song in the restaurant even though everyone could hear her; she also carried a big booger on her face which was so discussing.

Love this place, local favourite, usually for takeaway but the restaurant itself is nice too.

WE have been going to Zizzi to take advantage of the 50 % off mains (Twice a week) The staff are great but last night the manager went that extra mile !! When we ordered coffee they had run out of milk , But He went out and got some and solved the problem that meant we could have coffee. This has happened in other restaurants(not Zizzi ) with us and they just say tough we have no cream or milk !! Thank you

Extremely expensive £12 to £14.99 for a main course that was extremely small portions for the amount of money, and rice, chips or eggs fried rice were all £6 extra both again extremely small portions see photo of chips as served, the food was cold and lacking in flavour. The service wasn't much better. Drinks both soft and alcoholic were expensive too Wouldn't recommend sadly

What a great night! went for a colleague's leaving get together and did not expect them to get the karaoke out after the meal, what a laugh! absolutely made my night. The food was really good and staff were lovely. will 100% go here again

2 hour delivery on a Wednesday, no explanation, not acceptable

Almuerzo del sábado, el restaurante estaba vacío, como era de esperar. Pedimos galletas de gambas, un cuarto de pato aromático crujiente - ok - ish pero nada especial. El cerdo crujiente (plato de la firma Harbin) estaba seco y duro. Las gambas al vapor en sus conchas estaban muy sobrecocidas: secas, gomosas y sin sabor. Ambos platos principales (a aproximadamente £ 23 cada uno) venían sin verduras, solo la proteína. Los langostinos fueron servidos con vermicelli. El arroz frito con huevo era de £ 6. 50 ! ! ! Nos quejamos de la red (especialmente las gambas). El camarero dijo que se lo dijo al chef, quien le respondió que ¡así deberían ser las gambas! Con una coca-cola y una cerveza, la cuenta llegó a 90 libras. En el lado positivo, el restaurante es amplio y muy bien decorado. Los baños son agradables y muy limpios. Lamentablemente, la comida está mal cocinada y es demasiado cara. No vamos a volver.

Lovely food and a great waiter was so helpful

I never leave reviews but I had to leave one. I ordered a mixed starter for 2. Chicken chow mein. Beef satay some noodles., fried rice and chips. The starter was what I can only describe as poor. The prawn toast was really nice but the wonton looked as though it had been fried then refried 1 spring roll and 1 bbq rib which was drier than the Sahara desert. The rice was dry like it was yesterday's reheated, the noodles were rice noodles which were just watery. The chips must have been cooked the day before and just microwaved. Beef satay should be renamed beef vindaloo and the chow mein was dry. The only colour in the chow mein was the carrot which was raw. £40 wasted as most of it was inedible

Very disappointed only two tables and our food was cold except this on delivery but fresh in restaurant that wasn't busy should of been hot

I'am not really sure what the negative reviews are all about to be honest. We booked a table for 4 and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, the front of house staff were really nice, helpful and chatty. They asked about allergies at the start. We ordered a set meal for four comprising crackers, starters soup and then mains.....all of which were superb...highlights for me was the prawn toast and won ton for starters...not really had soup at a Chinese restaurant before but that was so nice...choice of chicken or crab...then the mains....well there was 4 and then we ordered chicken balls extra....the balls were a sensation as was the duck dish...actually there wasn't anything we didn't like and the serving plates were empty. Extra special fried rice was served when we asked and that on its own was really good too. Everything we had came out hot. We all had the 'Sun lik' larger on tap which was also very nice...the lady owner was so attentive, making sure we knew what we were ordering, answering our questions and just really having abit of banter with us too. Great night. All in all a good quality very tasty meal thank you.

Fresh hot tasty food. Buffet is great value if you have a huge appetite! Friendly staff.

Very good food, satay skewers are decent. Big portions and is the best Chinese in the area 💯
