shame that new yummy is closed down now i believe but was one of the best chinese takeaways i’ve had i’ve been coming here for years

Never had a bad dish very thing I ordered was full of flavour and tasty

Tasty food, arrived early too which was a bonus. However, the portion sizes are very small! I had to look in the bag to see where the rest was! Dissapointed

The king prawn & prawn fried rice were really bland. Chips portion was really small & cold!

So reasonably priced and delicious!

Food surprisingly good. Crispy noodles much better than is typical from a takeaway. Would certainly recommend this restaurant as worth a try. I will be using again.

Best chinese I’ve had in ages would recommend to anyone

We live just down the road from New Yummy (in the millbrook park development) and are regular customers. When we first moved to the area we tried a number of local Chinese restaurants and these guys were by and far the most consistent and top quality. Not only that, but they are the only Chinese that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg with a 5/5 hygiene rating! Seriously, if your reading this you need to check out the hygiene Rating of some of these Just-eat restaurants (click the ‘I’ button in the top right hand corner) most of them are ones and twos, you wouldn’t go to them in real life but for some reason it’s acceptable on this app. I genuinely cannot recommend these guys enough, every time it’s always hot, quick, good food and on times when we’ve personally made mistakes they’ve even given us replacement food and haven’t charged us extra just to keep us coming back (customer service isn’t dead!). 10 out of 10 guys keep up the great work.

Love the see food pizza from this place. They arrived early. Pizza was hot and very tasty.

Was a little worried by the bad reviews, but honestly the portions were enough for 4 people and 2 little ones, was hot and was tasty. Especially the salt and pepper chicken wings!

Metal found in my rice . Greasy. Flavourless. Chewy prawns. Soggy veg spring rolls.

Really disappointed tonight at such a poor experience with this restaurant. Called after our order was 20 minutes late to be told that it was with the driver and would be with us soon. 40 minutes later and it still had not arrived although it stated delivered on the app. Called the restaurant again as the order arrived and the food was cold. Eaten here quite a few times in the past when the food has been good but won’t be using again. Was also told to contact just eat to get a refund so more time and effort due to their poor service.

The food could not have arrived colder which is hard to believe considering I live less than 3 mins drive away!

Food quality was not the greatest as food was getting cold and the “crispy” beef was a bit chewy. Chicken balls and satay were good. Prawn crackers not included was a bit disappointing for an order of that size and the portions were a bit small as well. Would give it another try but left a bit disappointed this time.

First time ordering from here.i found the food to be of good quality and would order again.

I found metal shavings inside the sweet and sour chicken. This is totally unacceptable.

Food was hot, tasted really good not too greasy. Delivery guy was polite and friendly.

Food was amazing as usual, I’ve never had a bad meal from here! My meal came early and accidentally had an extra chicken meal so I called to tell them and they were lovely enough to let me keep it free of charge and told me to enjoy it and the rest of my meal. The chilli chicken meal was lovely, I’ve never had it before from here so I will definitely be ordering it next time I order New Yummy!

Food was barely warm. Beef was tough, sweet and sour pork was really tough and house special crispy noodle was dry and tasteless and was without the advertised “gravy”.

Delivery guy seemed grumpy and delivered just few minutes before the schedule but the food quality compensated everything. Truly yummy :P

In fairness I only live 3 minutes drive from the restaurant but it's always early, hot and delicious. Honestly, I'm not really a huge fan of Chinese takeaway normally but everything here just seems to be delicious. The soups are great, as are the crispy duck pancakes but recently I can't stop ordering the lemon chicken! Even the delivery guy always smiles as he drops it off. Thanks guys, I'll be ordering from you for a long time.

New Yummy never lets us down - delicious as usual. The whole family loved their meal and no question we’ll be back soon.

The food was delicious and although it was late it did arrive hot. Only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the BBQ sauce - not sure what it was but it wasn’t BBQ. Other then that, I recommend eating from here.

I asked for our food to come at 8.45pm and it arrived at 6.20pm! We were in the middle of getting ready to run a youth club, so this want helpful.

I was not home when I made this order and the food was there before I got home so it was cold by time I got to eat it when I called New Yummy up they said they would take it back from my house and deliver it 1 hour later which to me is a joke. My food was meant to arrive at 21:40 but came at 20:40 and blamed the writing from just eat saying it was too small

Completely neglected notes left in all caps to remove veg, find it extremely concerning that they do not respect allergen advice, food was inedible and no refund given as of yet!

Won’t be ordering again, the ribs were just lumps of fat, the noodles were pure grease & the chicken balls were swimming in oil. Food had to be returned for a refund - completely ruined Saturday night take away.

in general the food was good. and enjoyable. the black been beef could be slightly better but wasn’t bad. I’d avoid the crispy seaweed as it’s not very nice and very small portion for the price. I would order from here again.

I used to really like this Chinese but the food has gone downhill . The spare ribs are now bite size pieces of bones and the chicken satay and prawn balls are like something you would get from Iceland a watery dish no flavour. sorry but I won’t order again .

Food is hit and miss. Most of the time it is good but occasionally chow mein burnt and food too salty. This time the food was inedible and I had to throw away the chow mein and pork and rice!

Terrible service. We have been going to this Chinese for over 10 years and have been having problems with every order for the last year. Tonight we went to collect our food at 7:30pm and when we got there we were told it would be another 10 minutes. After waiting 20 minutes we were told they had made a mistake and made a duck dish instead of pork and could we just have the one that they made because it was ‘better’. We said no as we already had two other duck dishes and could they make the correct one. We waited another 5 minutes for the correct dish to be made for the man to put our order on the table and run off back to the kitchen without saying anything. When I checked they hadn’t given us any prawn crackers that they usually give with our order, I asked and he said ‘we don’t give prawn crackers to people that order through Just Eat’ but said ‘but I can give you one’. Shocked that we were not even given prawn crackers as courtesy let alone money off or the dish they made by mistake after waiting an hour for a collection and messing up our order, then get home and it’s cold! Terrible service and we won’t be returning again.

Weirdest thing is, I was never really into Chinese food that much but for some reason I love this place!

I ordered a set menu for two and it was more than enough. Speedy and efficient service. Complimentary prawn crackers would have been nice.

Fantastic food, would be a nice idea if prawn crackers were thrown in if you spend over certain amount.

The food was over all good. Spring rolls were a bit tasteless and chill beef didn’t look that great and wasn’t at all crispy but was edible.

Food was good but was let down with the food being delivered over an hour late.

The food was absolutely fantastical! Delicious! I would have like the food to bigger portion sizes but all in all, the food was very good, suppressed expectations. The sweet and sour chicken balls were amaZzzzzzing!

um food was spectacular , everything was cooked properly, flavor was on point will definitely order again. hot and fress and crispy chicken wings and chicken balls. not sweaty and soggy n moist like most places. rice was fluffy and fresh and tasty. YOUR CAPITAL RIBS A*+ just perfect and crispy beef tasty n crispy with the perfect amount of spice. food was delivered early and deliver guy was very friendly. THANKYOU!

The food was dry, and it seemed as though it had been reheated. My egg fried rice was hard, and my friends boiled rice tasted horrible. We put the sweet n sour sauce over it, and that just made it worse. The chicken was dry, and very chewy.

Normally excellent, however, forgot to deliver the prawn crackers, didn't follow the instructions on the chicken fried rice and the food was just warm. Driver apologized for the late delivery, however, family so hungry we couldn't send it back. First time for a poor service from Yummy.
