Amazing the best Cantonese/ Chinese food I’ve ever had. Extremely extremely authentic. Real flavours and all made completely fresh. Not like some Chinese where they cater for what British people want this is the real deal when it comes to Cantonese food in the midlands! Good value and the portions of protein is substantial. I recommend you come in and sit down for the best and freshest experience. The BBQ Duck & HK Sweet & Sour Pork are highly recommended

Absolutely the worst Chinese I have ever had. Bland tasteless. King prawn fried rice had 4 prawns. Special curry meat overcooked. Curry sauce watery. Never again

Very disappointed ordered a prawn curry, this brown wishy washey water came out .I asked if this was a curry. She said it was . I have never seen a dark brown thin water chinese curry before. Disgusting. Alec

Visited Lucky Restaurant on a Sunday evening. Located on Beeston, it is near University of Nottingham. When we arrived, the eatery was a third filled but as we were eating, the restaurant was almost full. The food here taste really authentic, and the quality is confirmed given the number of Asians that frequent this place and the number of regulars that dine in.

Beautiful food had the duck which was amazing, would have liked abit more kick to beef in black pepper but overall service and food good will go again.

I must say the food served at this restaurant is very tasty and at a very reasonable price I would like to recommend it to each and everyone

Food took over 1hour and 15 minutes to arrive. Called the takeaway after an hour and was rudely told that they were very busy and that it would be there soon. Then lady said bye and put the phone down. When the food eventually arrived, parts of the order were cold. Dissapointed as I regularly order from lucky's and have never had a problem before.

Delicious! Fish with aubergine was great and the tofu melted in my mouth. I'd definitely order from here again.

Everything was nice but the prawn toasts were far too oily I could not eat it, the only thing I could taste was oil. Also it would be nice to know that you were going to give me free prawn crackers because then I would not have bought them.

We are always happy with food from Lucky Cantonese - ratings not quite 6/6 this time because we have had some really fantastic food from them previously.

Really dry, over-fried food. Such a shame because their food used to be so good but it's gone downhill lately.

Worst Chinese takeaway ever. Crispy beef was tasteless and chewy. Chicken dish was full of bones and grissel. Hot and sour soup was also tasteless. Very disappointing.

Terrible, have used Lucky for years but never again. When The delivery guy arrived it was the wrong order, he went through every order in his car and he didn't have ours. We then had to wait another half an hour for it to arrive with an apology but not discount or free food offered. The food was greasy and had been cooked longer than normal. The only thing I liked was the rice.

The food is really good. My only complaint is you don't get much chicken in the sweet and sour chicken otherwise you would have gotten 5* rating on everything

Ordered a meal to be delivered at 8pm, they delivered at 7.07. No good to us, as our kids were still awake. They offered to keep it warm for an hour, but it was mainly chicken and therefore not a good idea. I asked them to cook us a new meal, but then changed my mind as I didn't trust them not to reheat the same meal. The food was ok, but not amazing. A real shame as we've eaten in the restaurant a few times and really enjoyed our meal.

Had the house special ho fan, fresh and delicious. I like the different menu items, feel like you can try new things instead of the same old Chinese. Delivery is always quick, very friendly! Definitely recommend

The food was old and smelt bad... The delivery man had grease on his uniform, though he was quite polite. In terms of ordering meal from you again, that will never happen because I hated the food. The soup was for sure few days old and had a fly in it. It was a very dirty food. Please improve your hygiene.

Food took just over an hour to arrive. Deliver couldn't find my road and I had to go walk up and down our road to find the driver. One main was missing, driver said she will return in 15 minutes with missing food but never turned up and in the meantime the shop closed so no answer on telephone. Absolute waste of time and they still owe me money which I will probably never see.

We went here on sat 18th april 2015 - very friendly greeting & seated straight away - we found the food to be of excellent quality -the wine was reasonably priced & the 1 & only issue was that our dishes got cold quite quickly -but dont let this put you off going as we should probably have asked for hot plates & will do next time we go. The quality of the dishes we had were second to none so we will be going again soon. Thank you to Manager & staff alike.

Sweet and sour chicken, char sui fried rice both OK. Chicken satay a little bit dry but otherwise nice. Beef chow mein was a bit average but I've had worse! would probably order again. Delivery fairly quick (25 mins maybe?) but not too quick that the food wasn't cooked properly.

Food was amazing. Delivery driver did not want to leave his car, so we had to walk down the road to get the food. Apparently, there was confusion regarding our delivery instructions, so after clarifying what we meant, they processed our order - received our food 30 minutes later than agreed on. And even after clarifying the instructions, the delivery driver could not be bothered to come to the door!

Food was fine. Singapore noodles nice and hot as I like them. Slightly pricier than I am used to but not annoyingly so.

We've ordered from here twice recently and been very happy. Bigger portions than I'm used to elsewhere. Being an exciting person, I've had Sweet & Sour Chicken in 'Butter' (a typo, I'm pretty sure) twice, the sauce is great and the batter crispy. Pekingnese and Szechaun sauces were good too although different to how we expected from our old takeaway of choice (in Cardiff). Egg fried rice is a bit bland, maybe could use a little salt or something, but nice enough. Chow mein was lovely. They did forget our bottle of coke on the first order but the food was so nice we forgave them and ordered again. We only live up the road so don't know how it is further afield but they delivered on time both times, and both the older gentleman and the lady who have delivered to us have been very pleasant. We will continue to order from here.

The Orange Chicken was miserable, the sauce was not even orange. Dumpling sauce was vinegar and the chicken in the chicken curry was rock hard. Will not order from here again.
