So tasty, definitely be eating here again

Rice was dry, chow mein greasy, sweet and sour not great very thin , very disappointed. Chicken balls dry like rubber! Have had better from here in the past. Won't return.

I ordered from this restaurant for the first time, the food was very delicious and fresh. The restaurant is very nice and clean, I will definitely order from this restaurant again.

I ordered a beef chow mein the noodles was rice noodles very thin there was an hair on the beef will not be going there again my fried got the chicken wings they tasted off

After reading the reviews we was a bit sceptical about eating here but I’m glad we didn’t listen cas it was 10 out of 10 When we first got there we was offered the main menu I asked the lady if they done the buffet and she got the menu The lady who served us was really nice The food was lovely banging bbq ribs and satay chicken skewers and seaweed and lots of over bits I’ve been to a few chinese buffets and none do the seaweed so that was a plus Defo will be back and defo recommend You won’t be disappointed Was stuffed by the mains we had 2 lots of starters the duck and then some mains

I have to make this clear. As Chinese restaurants go, the food is not bad, but the atmosphere was incredibly unwelcoming. We ordered the buffet, and you have to order individual portions. We asked for it all together, but it didn’t come all together. It felt like we should feel guilty for eating. We ended up spending £140 in total, and my mum and sister basically ate chips and rice, as they felt like they weren’t allowed to order as much as they want, which is kind of the idea of a buffet. It was understandably quiet for a Tuesday afternoon, but I don’t think I could go through the awkwardness of eating here again.

A while back me and my wife ate here, very nice food and a nice place to eat. Since then, every time we have a holiday in Yarmouth we get a takeaway from here and it's always very tasty.

We will go again, definitely. Basic but quite nice dining area. Heaters were on. Local free parking after 6pm and for hour and a half before 6pm. Outside is half an hour before 6, ideal for picking up a takeaway. We had the buffet, you request what you want and they bring it out. Food was really good. Service was good too. Update they no longer do the buffet. No worries, the set menu is a little cheaper and enough for us.

Rice was cold AGAIN. Why can't you use foil containers. Keeps food hot. Not plastic ones.

Online says it is wheelchair accessible but it is not in the slightest. There are steps for both entrances. There was no ramp or anything. This needs updating on here as it is NOT wheelchair accessible.

The value for money,fantastic,staff lovely and friendly .Decor a bit outdated but certainly didn't affect the enjoyment of the evening.

Food was discusting, dry, tasteless ,couldn't even eat the Hong Kong pork as it was so tough. The prawns in the fried rice were not fully cooked

Lovely chinese restaurant opposite the Quay in Great Yarmouth. Parking across the road in the Quay car park, free after 4pm, or park directly outside, free after 6pm. Tasty food, excellent service. Choice of main menu or buffet menu. We shall visit again.

There is a buffet type option where you order at the table or you can just order from the main menu as a normal restaurant. It's all freshly cooked for you. You can then keep ordering until you have had enough food and at least you can try different dishes. A special treat and well worth a visit

Great place to eat in or get takeaway

Always ieser a cheeky take away every 3 to 4 week from you, Did you change your chef? It was the worst 40 pound we spend on you for the last 3 years, Very very salty noodles Special fried rice and shezan pork diah Wasted the diner , Never had issue before but plz please control the salt quantity and light soya sauce you put on We end up, having frozen,diner instead of our monthly treat.

Ordered food as usual but then had to ring after expect time went by with no explanation to be told would be another 15 minutes so this made it about 1hr15mins then have delivery by a very rude driver, have been ordering from them for many years but will not be doing again. Made me very upset & unhappy 😔

One star food and hygiene rating

Me and my partner went in roughly once maybe twice a month, alright food decent atmosphere. However we went in last night, I got terrible food poisoning, I went to the out of hours doctors as my pain was so bad and had the very disgusting symptoms associated with food poisoning. Talked to the doctor they were quite certain it was food poisoning listed what I had eaten over the last 24 hours and the doctor said it was very likely due to chicken fried rice as it’s a dish that is quite easy to get food poisoning from sue also said the other food I consumed in that time period was low risk to food poisoning. My girlfriend also had stomach pains (and ate a similar dish) it was the only meal we ate together yesterday and therefore makes it even more likely that we became unwell due to the restaurant considering the doctor also believed the dish was the source of the poisoning. Called the restaurant this evening, very unsympathetic, we won’t be returning and it’s as shame as we liked the place, first time I had chicken fried rice from their deviated from my usual dish and I regret that decision now. Due to the lack of empathy regarding the issue (and the fact I don’t want food poisoning again) we won’t be returning.

Food was beautiful. Staff were so friendly. Reasonably priced. Left very full and satisfied. Never had cooked to order all you can eat but would definitely recommend and return.

Lovely friendly staff. Hence the 3 stars. Reasonably priced. Clean restaurant. Food was just OK. Nothing special. Lacked flavour and the duck and chilli chicken was very dry. I wouldn’t return personally due to the lack of flavour and the ingredients tasted cheap (gristly)

Ordered 2 meals for Valentine’s Day. After 1 hour the food hadn’t arrived. Rang the shop and told it was on its way. When it arrived there was a portion of chips missing and the food was Luke warm at best. When we rang about the chips we were told we would have to pay for more if we wanted the second portion even after paying for them already. It was obvious the chips and spring rolls had been reheated as they were mushy. Please be aware and don’t use this restaurant. Will never use them again.

A last minute booking for 7, The food was amazing, we ordered additional dishes from the menu, we were advised by our server this was not necessary as we had ordered the set menu, to be honest I think you were right, so much food, just a picky eater in our party.

we ordered over £40 of food 90% we left was not vey nice at all no one liked any of the food. we will never order again. Delivery driver was absolute thick moron who threatend to kill me because he could not do his simple job properly. i have all his threats on phone will be contacting the police. not what you want after ordering a family meal. Find somewhere better.

Customer service for takeout was shocking, staff left us mid order to deal with another customer. 'Took longer for the order to be taken, than the food took to arrive!

Visited china dinner very late on a Monday night with my two sons… restaurant had already closed but the very helpful foh staff soon reopened it just for us… food was amazing service brilliant overall a great experience

Reliable, rarely have to book and I like the food

Hadn't been here for a while, as moved a bit further away, however having had a takeaway last week we had to return the following week it really is brilliant. The egg fried rice is amazing and both the Thai curry and the Chinese curries I've now tried were both fantastic, my partner loved the chilli beef so much she just had to have it again !! Fantastic service and value for money

Lovely food! It was very easy to order online and was delivered to our lodge on the cherry tree holiday park. A bit more pricey than back home but definitely worth it!

I loved this restaurant!! Have been ordering from them for a year, but today I ordered from them through uber eats for delivery and the quality of the food was horrible, nothing like usual looked like bad left overs, chicken was dry and salty /pepper chicken for some reason has sweet sause on part of it....supporting the leftover idea!! Very dissapointed

We decided to chose china diner for our traditional holiday Chinese meal after reading the reviews. The food was tasty but really nothing above what your usual Chinese take-a-way would provide. The setting was the strangest thing. It didn’t feel like you were in a Chinese restaurant, more like a posh Sunday dinner environment. Don’t get me wrong the place was clean, well presented and the staff were friendly but when your used to all the Chinese decorations such as patterns and pictures of Mount Fuji everywhere and there’s none of that it just felt strange. Would be harsh to leave a lower star rating as nobody forced us to go there and we all enjoyed our food.

Authentic Chinese and the best we’ve had in some time. I would definitely come back if we are ever in the area again.

I was looking forward to Chinese takeaway as have had on for a while ordered through just eat. Pork chow mein was bland and cold as was the chicken ball and veg spring rolls although the were edible. The sweet and sour sauce was highly vinegary and really not nice. And the egg fried rice was claggy. Tried to write a review on just eat could. So rand China dinner to voice my disappointment to be spoken to by rude arguments staff. Do not recommend them.

Food was very good as usual although they messed up our order which they corrected . Bit disappointed that all 3 draft beers were not available (third time this has happened) as I guess they make more profit from the small bottles. Would not go back again now until the summer as it was very cold and us and all the other three tables sat through the whole meal without removing their coats. Glad to get home for a warm up!

We're here on holiday and thought we'd give China Diner a try. Ordering and paying online was really easy and food was ready in 20 mins from order being placed. The portions were large and all the food tasted great. Absolutely loved the duck noodles (saucy). Can't wait till we're next in the area as will most definitely be ordering again!

Stopped of for dinner on way home from Yarmouth festival with friends.we decided on the set menu for 4 and all courses were superb round 1 prawn toast/ribs/spring rolls/seaweed/satey/followed by duck pancakes/ mains were pork and mushrooms sizzling prawns lemon chicken crispy beef and rice and noodles. All washed down with tiger beer and wine there was nothing to complain about and the service was very friendly and attentive.

Decided to visit as we had our wedding reception here 10 years ago. Different, bigger menu. We had the meal for 2 which was excellent value for £20 each. Staff were very friendly and the food very tasty. We will return!

My wife and I looked through many reviews of the local chinese restaurants in the great Yarmouth area and the "china Diner" had lots of wonderful reviews, so we decided to eat there. We are so very pleased we did as the staff were extremely polite and friendly, the restaurant was very clean and a lovely place to spend some time in. The food arrived quickly and was excellent! Plenty of flavour and cooked perfectly. We 100% reccomend you eat here if you get the chance. We will definitely be returning whenever we can to enjoy the experience again and again.

Lovely food. Fast friendly service and very competitive prices. If you like Chinese food well worth a visit if in Great Yarmouth. This restaurant is not on the seafront but behind the market place near the river.

Normally really good food and service however today was extremely salty and had to wait over half an hour for our other portion of chips that was forgotten after we'd eaten the rest of the meal. Really disappointed as normally lovely and great service.

Food is always amazing however this time when I ordered from them I had a little weird experience with the driver... from the impression I got he wanted a tip (normally I do tip however I only had a certain amount) ..even though I paid the delivery fee already and wasn’t impressed I only had the money for my food I didn’t know when you order food you have too pay the delivery fee and a tip for the delivery to come normally I do actually tip but unfortunately on this occasion I didn’t have any more cash on me I did ask the front of house when placing my order how much is it not too sound sad but I didn’t go to the bank and not to sound big headed anyway the atmosphere from the delivery was weird but food is always good that’s why I been going here for years but right now I am going to request a different driver adios

I really enjoy food here. We have visited during both my holidays to Great Yarmouth. They have always gone out of their way to be helpful. Staff are always friendly and polite. That said, I removed a star because both visits we asked for no peas due to my partners food intolerance and was told there would be no peas but when dishes arrived they was peas pods in one and garden peas in another.

Very good go again recommend it

Been to chinos tonight with my husband for a birthday treat OMG, excellent food and excellent service. Ordered Maxine's pudding for my desert because I'm called Maxine but unfortunately I was so stuffed I had to cancel it. Great restaurant excellent food and excellent customer service I would definitely recommend it and I will be back next year. Well done staff and chefs 10 out of 10.
