I go here once or twice a month. excellent food and it on my doorstep

Food is lovely but the dishes seem smaller, got a combination dish and much less in there than previously.

Yummy Chinese food. Would recommend the chicken balls, chicken chow mein and their chips. Spring rolls are lovely too.

Friendly and fast service on a Friday night. We picked it up ourselves and when we got home the food was still piping hot. Prawn balls were big and crispy, salt and pepper ribs were so flavourful. Very nice fried rice, crispy beef and the beef in the beef and broccoli was amazingly tender. Everyone really enjoyed the meal

Just had a most delious beef and sweet and sour mix vegetables ,cantonise chicken, chips it was absolutely beautiful best ever .

While on holiday in Gorleston on sea, we visited this place for a takeaway and we were not disappointed . We decided to order a set meal for 4 people at a cost of £41.00 This consisted of: Fried chicken with cashew nuts, fried shrimps with bean sprouts, sweet and sour pork balls, Fried king prawn with mixed vegetables, roast chicken Chinese style, pork spare ribs and a large young chow fried rice. Staff very friendly and we didn’t have to wait long for our order. As there was just 2 of us, there was so much food that we split it in half and saved the rest for the next night. All the courses were delicious. We would definitely recommend this place and will definitely visit again before going home.

Cold reheated and burnt all in one .. shocking food

Will never order here again. Wrong item sent and the service after was diabolical, either someone here cant write or someone cant read 108B. They said I could return the meal and pick up the right one, all whilst all the other food in my £60 order was obviously going cold but they didnt care. They then tried a credit note ( like I'd enjoy the bad service all over again)!!! I asked them for a delivery of my correct order (even though they made the mistake) I'd still have to wait an hour for it!! All whilst my current order was either eaten or cold! They didnt care one bit they had made a mistake and they didnt do anything worthwhile to rectify it. Find somewhere else more reliable!

I ordered chicken Maryland and mini spring rolls..no peas in the maryland and everything was dry along with a the portion size being much smaller on the maryland. Not happy as it was that bad the dog turned his nose up at some items.

Absolutely terrible delivery service, ordered food told 30-35mins for delivery. We waited over an hour for delivery and food was cold. This place has totally gone down hill, chips have been terrible for some time. Never buy from here again.

Ordered tonight, young girl on phone didn't seem competent to take order and had to repeat several times. 1 combination dish was wrong and had to be replaced. But worst part is our daughter is vegetarian and ordered vegetarian spring rolls but got some spring rolls with meat in. She felt instantly sick as she hasn't eaten meat for 13 years. After phoning my wife was offered 10% off next time. Never again. Awful customer service no care and attention.

First time my wife and I have tried the mandarin on bells rd and it certainly won't be the last. I had the house special curry & chips and my wife tried the lemon chicken on the specials and we ate the lot, it was absolutely fantastic and lovely and hot, we will return.

Avoid. Arrived an hour late and the food was substandard, cold

Collected a vegetable curry and 2 portions of egg fried rice. Curry boiling hot. Rice stone cold and congealed. Never going there again.

A happy friendly atmosphere in here. With very good food, lots of choices on the menu and good value for money. Highly recommend Mandarin, Gorleston. NB. On road parking only.

Food off and not the first time

Disgusting, Been going here for years, ordered an early delivery and the chicken balls and chips were clearly refried from the day before no question absolutely grim so disappointed why not just cook it fresh £40 down the drain 🤮

We had the boil rice chicken mushrooms sweet sour chicken balls god knows what they have done to the sauce for sweet sour it tastes like it was off it was disgusting spoiled the rest of the dinner sad to say won't be ordering from you again

Don't waste your time . our delivery was cold and we did not enjoy any of the dishes that we ordered. We will not be ordering any food from here again

I got some slate for my garden and omg it now looks much better thank you to B&Q for always having everything you need to make something a lot better will be shopping here again soon

We come here every year for a two week holiday Being lovers of Chinese food we tried this one as a random choice and have since visited for our lovely meals on average twice during our two week holiday holiday Thank you Mandarin you are a credit to the hard working Chinese people

We only use the Mandarin for our Chinese take-away, Over the last 20 years+ we've tried others and always given up following upset tummies! Never had that from the Mandarin. Food is always hot and tasty with quick delivery! would recommend!

We use this takeaway at least once a month. Food is always piping hot. We collect but home delivery is available. They never let us down. The new salt and pepper chicken wings are delicious.

Ordered a Chinese as a treat to finish off what had been a good weekend away but round up ending it on a sourless note. Several of the dishes received were incorrect, some not even close. Resulting in an unbalanced and therefore unenjoyable dinner. When I called the restaurant their excuse was “She is new” no offer to rectify or make good. I’m just expected to be part of their new employees learning curve at my own expense. 0 customer service.

Didn't get hoisin sauce with duck, staff seemed like they couldn't be bothered to be there, even though chili beef was lovely the s+s chicken was horrid.

Prompt delivery. Food rather dry this time. Hope it improves for next time.

Fantastic Chinese! Very punctual timing. The food was delicious. In fact they are the best spring rolls ever and kung po chicken was perfect. Will definitely be using again.

We ordered a take away as we have been let down by various other local Chinese takeaways and was very impressed with our chicken curry. You do get loads of chips in fact so many we couldn't eat them all. The curry was just to my liking. We will be returning back.

The egg fo yung was the only decent thing there was but I don't think you can go wrong with that. The sauce in the curry was really runny and the chicken was the processed kind.

In my opinion it's the best Chinese in Gorleston on Sea. Food always ready quickly and very tasty.

An extensive menu as most Chinese takeaways have, but the food is exquisite. They are at 60 Bells Road, Gorleston-on-Sea. There is no place to eat-in just seats to wait for your food after ordering. You can also order by phone and have it delivered for about a £1.20 to £1.70, depending on where you live, or you can go and collect it free when they say it will be ready. This is usually about 15 minutes. Their tel number is 01493 604768. They have 8 English dishes and also Satay, Beijing, Thai and Chef Special dishes. Their Combination Meal dishes are popular at £7.50 and they do Special Set Menus for 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 people. They are not open on Mondays (open Bank Holiday Mondays) but from 5.00pm to 11.30pm most other days and also 12.00 noon to 2.00pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

There are a few Chinese takeaways in Gorleston and I am finding it hard work trying to find a decent one. The sauce in the curry was so thin and runny I had to thicken it up myself. Average, very average. Egg Fo Yong ok but I think you would find it hard to get that wrong but then again. .............

Order was wrong they delivered the dish sweet sour Hong Kong style this was soggy had to reheat chips and rice chicken curry the sauce was grainy and a funny texture £15.50 for a load of rubbish which we put in bin I phoned to tell them how bad it was and was told it was because they were busy well they won't be if they continue to serve rubbish

Although very quick with delivery food was very bland and tasteless disappointed won't use again

always go to collect and is ready in no time, love the combination meals where you can pick any 3 dishes to have in one large container, don't need no more that one dish fills you up completely

Really good. It’s my favourite take-away place. My favourites are the Chicken Cho Main, Duck in Plum Sauce and the Cantanise (I did not spell that right, sorry) King Prawns. When we get it deliver it takes quite a while but always worth it. A bit expensive but it’s good food.

Not impressed, expensive and old reheated food, Mandarin in Bradwell is cheaper and better quality

This Chinese always delivers a lovely tasty meal that never fails to impress me. The order is always completed quick and its piping hot. Good quality ingredients used and service with a smile. The prices are much the same as others in the area but I find this place the best.

We love this Chinese takeaway. Good good, fast delivery and great service. Best prawn balls and satay sauce is perfect.

Decidimos coger una toma para el cumpleaños de un miembro de la familia, muy decepcionante. Tuve el Koon Po y fue tan aguada y sin sabor y mi miembro de la familia tenía el plato inglés de bistec con patatas fritas. Todo estaba en el mismo cartón! ! ! Nos hubiera gustado que se hubiera separado como las patatas fritas eran muy pasada. Les pidió que mina más sabrosa con chili extra pero no hacerlo.

No hemos comido en casa, pero tenía varias comidas entregadas. Entre nosotros y nuestros amigos hemos probado el 10% del menú - no puede parecer mucho, pero es un menú enorme! No tengo ninguna queja. Llega caliente a través de conductor amable. Comidas sabrosas y abundantes. Seguiré usando y lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

Was.missing a rice got told to pay half for my curry I already had manger refused to come to phone then tryed to say I was lying saying he put 2 rice in the bag when there was clearly only one by the time they sent another rice dinner was stone cold compleatly rubbish wont be coming back to this takeaway esp after always ordering off them in the past rude is a nice way of putting it

First time we have eaten from here and it was the best Chinese we have had for a long time. Would recommend it and will be going again in the future. 👍

Great place! Best Chinese in the area and I've tried them all. Good value for money. Ordered from here more than anywhere else because the quality is always consistent. Larger proportions than most places. The staff have always been friendly and have often thrown in free food at times. I've used this place for years now.

The food here is quite good. I had a vegetable curry which had a slight floral taste to it which was ok but I wouldn't have it again.

Its always a punt choosing somewhere to eat in an unfamiliar town. Well I am glad we chose to eat at the Mandarin. We had a mid range set menu for 2, wow food was plenty full, the only bit of food I did not care for was the prawn toast. We I eat here again yes.

We have always picked up our food so I cannot comment on the service of their delivery team. We have never found fault with their food after several years of their service. Occasionally we have tried other outlets but always come back to the Mandarin - it's on our speed-dial! The Mandarin is open all Bank Holiday Mondays. It is closed all day on Mondays, but open Tues to Thurs and Sunday 5pm to midnight, and Fri and Sat also 12 noon to 2pm. The staff at the Mandarin are cheerful, helpful and efficient - only once has our bill been 10p wrong! They take orders by phone either to be delivered or picked up by the customer. Local deliveries are between £1.00 and £1.50. As regulars we phone and my husband's voice is immediately answered by, "Good Evening Mr .........". He asks when it will be ready for picking up and the answer is usually 5 - 10 mins. It's alway ready when he gets to the shop. Like most Chinese Takeaways there is a selection of photos of the dishes and the Menu is comprehensive. Starters include soup.and they have various English dishes (steak, grills, chicken, gammon and sausages) for the those unsure of Chineses food! They serve Chinese, Cantonese, Beijing and Thai cuisine. There is a section of Squid dishes that I have not fancied trying being a non-fishy person! There are several Combination Meals if you don't know what to put together, Mix and Match menus, Chef's Specials and Set Meals for 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 people. There is adequate parking in the road in the evening.

We decided on this one as heard v bad review about the buffet further up the road and I'm so pleased we did the staff are friendly and the food was brilliant I would hesitate to recommend.

After looking at previous reviews of Mandarin House I decided to book a table here for my mother in laws birthday meal (as she said Chinese was her favourite) I'm so glad we did. Myself, my husband, my mother in law and our two children 1 and 3 all had a lovely time. We were on holiday and as we are not from the area we were obviously a bit wary at first but were soon put at ease upon our arrival by the nice clean restaurant and friendly welcome from the staff.The food was truly fantastic. We ordered one of the set menus for 4 and had more than enough to eat between us all. None of it was greasy or overly salty andIt was all freshly cooked. My children were treated really well and can literally say were spoilt by the female waitresses who were really good at keeping them entertained. My son saw an apple on the counter and so they were happy to give him one to keep him content whilst we were eating. If ever in Great Yarmouth again I can say we will be visiting mandarin house again. One thing I must mention though is the address and phone number are both wrong on the trip advisor details above. During our stay in Great Yarmouth, we decided to have dinner here and were pleasantly surprised by the food. everything we ordered was delicious, fresh and smelt lovely. The staff was warm and polite and the decor was pleasant. We loved our tofu in szechuan sauce, hotpot mix veg, stir fried udon. Would go again there whenever we'll be in town next.

Went here as we hadn't had chance to get food all day, we're really hungry but didn't want a typical buffet so for £18 as a 'order as many dishes as you like' option seemed perfect.Were a bit sceptical as couldn't find many reviews, but definatly were not let down. Everything we ordered was freshly cooked and tasted amazing. Probably the best Chinese food we have ever had.The staff were welcoming and very helpful. There were no nasty surprises at the end. What we expected to pay was what we paid plus a bit of tip that was up to us.Would highly recommend. An amazing dining experience.

This was our last night in GY and we fancied a chinese. We'd been up down Regent Road several times this week and each time we passed this restaurant. We walked in and the place is immaculate, its spotless, you can see your face on the floor. We ordered chicken noodle soup for a starter, sweet and sour prawns, chicken and pineapple and egg fried rice for main and apple and banana fritters for dessert. Service was efficient, the young waitress was very friendly and she gave us the option to wait between courses so we weren't rushed. The food is excellent, it cannot be faulted. This place is a gem in the middle of all the mediocre restaurants that surround it. Definitely go there!

In regent road great yarmouth this is the best tiah green curry and special fried rice I've had in an eon. Staff friendly and speak perfect English. Modern restaurant with that crisp updated look.
