Tasty House in Great Yarmouth

Had a great takeaway meal from here.

It was OK l, was not the best and was not the worst. Had my go to dishes which is Singapore fried rice, salt and pepper chicken balls and crispy seaweed. I only live round the corner, and the food was on borderline of warm .. it was OK, and wouldn't stop me using again, but would just hope it be hotter next time

First time delivery from this excellent Chinese. Nice sized portions, hot and very tasty. Lovely to be able to have Thai Curry alongside Chinese dishes. Lady who delivered was very polite and helpful. Thank you.

Apparently this is the best takeaway 🤣 (people's taste buds must be blown). Worst I've ever had! Set meals for 4 all containing just beansprouts with bits of different meat thrown in with a charge of £40-£42 - complete rip off.

Ordered takeout, polite staff on the phones. We ordered 2 round meals, mine contained rice, bbq ribs and Szechuan chicken and my husband had chicken curry with rice and chicken balls. Food arrived in around 30 minutes and was very hot and tasty. Would definitely order again and recommend

Quick delivery, food very good.

Rip off for the price, I ordered 2 medium main meals along with some sauce, 75% of each box was cheap vegetables and half of the meat was just fat. They even got the sauce I ordered wrong... 200ml of sauce for £3.10 is a rip off. In total I spent £16 on less than a bowls worth of food. The baked chicken was bland, yeah it was crispy but there was no taste of any spices

Brilliant for 3 year when we resided full time at static residential site till the day an order was seemingly dry they didnt want to know . Now we use Dragon up the road regular for some 5 years whom offer great food with great all round service . Shame about Tasty house , their loss as well as ours because offered no customer care for just the one rare complaint out of many a many good order .

First time customer, delivery driver rang when he was on the way so we could direct him to the holiday chalet...food piping hot, good size portions and very tasty...Will definitely use again.

Order taken a little abrupt but turned out very nice tasty food if not the smallest portion of chow mein ever but that aside still tasty grub

We were on holiday and we wanted a Chinese tgere were a couple in Caister so tried this 1 We really enjoyed and if I'm in this neck of the woods again I will be coming here for my food. Top marks

Horrible experience, staying up her with the family for the weekend and decided to have a takeaway and was disappointed with the results. Food had no flavour what so ever not even the sweet and sour sauce helped in anyway. Gave belly aches with in 2 3hrs of consuming, wouldn't recommend to anybody not even as a prank.

After speaking g with one of the drivers telling me it was the best Chinese around, I was rather disappointed, food was tasteless and not much of it. Won't be going again.

Goid food, quick and friendly service

Ordered last week while on holiday. Great menu with loads of variety, something to suit us all. The driver called en route to check where we were as we were in a chalet and we gave directions. So pleasant and helpful. Delivery was quick and when the delicious food arrived it was lovely and hot. Literally couldn’t fault it, and we won’t hesitate to order from here again when we are back in Scratby

We have just returned from a weeks holiday in Caister on Sea. The 3 Chinese meals we had from this take away were by far the best we have tasted in recent weeks. The food was cooked fresh, good quality, and very tasty. They didn't let us down once. Well done Tasty House, we hope to see you again.

Fancied Chinese but don’t know the area, checked Tripadvisor and chose Tasty House, lived up to expectations, fast delivery to Seashore (met at gate as they, like other deliveries, aren’t allowed on site). Good food, great value.

What a waste of £31! Who puts the curry sauce on the chips? Soggy mess went straight in bin! Duck was dry and everything else tasted of the same oil disgusting.. delivered to Yarmouth race course waste of money...

This is the tastiest Chinese I have ever had. I enjoyed it so much I went back for another the next night. You need to try them out.

Ordered duck with orange sauce. Came with pineapple instead. Phoned to advise the mix up with the order. Chef responded that the duck with orange comes with pineapple. No orange. Will not order from there again

Food was lovely we ordered singapore noodles Chicken curry And spare ribs .all great. My husband loved it that much he nearly phoned to thank them. But he gave In to his full belly and fell asleep .

Food was extremely 'tasty' and wait times where good. Visited twice in a week whilst on holiday on the area which is very unusual for us.

Had a takeaway delivered new years eve, def not cooked fresh half the chicken balls were either over cooked, or more like the day before left overs then refried, will not be using them again, Note to them, never put profit before quality.

Good food but check your order prices seem to vary for same thing. Also advertise a surcharge for credit cards on their website and leaflets which I was led to believe is no longer legal

In the lockdown period this has been a godsent of a place.allways constant in quality of food hot tasty fresh. We choose delivery method,on time hot nice delivery people.prices ok no complaints. Will we visit again yes.

Two weeks running had the steak meal steak was tough fatty and couldn,t cut chips hard and cooked in dirty fat.

What a great Chinese takeaway, best one I've had in a long time, delivery on time , packed well, good value and most importantly great taste.

I have ordered food from here two times this week and both times arrived hot and full of flavour. After checking the hygiene ratings around the area with other Chinese take outs before ordering this is the only 5 star hygiene rating I have come across. Highly recommend.

Very friendly service and will accommodate by leaving out vegetable s that you either cannot eat or dislike.

Our regular Chinese in the village which we use on numerous occasions gave a poor reaction when we complained against quality of food delivered. After returning the food after initial phone call, the chinese lady serving said she we only give a £4 refund unless we waited for the boss. After half an hour and testing the food quality we eventually got a full refund for our meal. But we will now go elsewhere as we have been using this restaurant for many years but quality has declined

We have a food here before, this night they so busy we went to collect meals. Quick service food hot and ready when we arrived.

Used to be a very good restaurant but really going downhill. Food arrived late and stone cold, foil containers half filled. Considering the high prices they charge , not good enough!

Food cold portions small no seasoning poor value for money won't come be going again chow main in a small tray but charged for the bigger tray that you get up the road but that was closed wish I waited very disappointed

We have holidayed in Caister for a number of years now and are always pleased with the food here. It’s quick and very flavourful. I would say it’s the best Fresh Garlic Mushrooms I’ve ever tasted! The staff are very friendly and welcoming

I’ve used the Tasty House for a long time - over periods living in Caister. I can only remember one fault - they forgot the chips when the handed my food... the only reason I knew before I got home .. is that the owner chased out and flagged me down in my car to give them to me ..Honest business and great food.

As always I used tasty house and it was as good as ever . I have tried the rest of the Chinese takeaways in caister and I believe tasty house is by far the best .

Couldn't be bothered to cook so decided on a takeaway, have used this place a number of times and found them to be consistently good with the dishes I like, probably the best takeaway in the area that I've found so far and I've tried a few.

Enjoyed a delicious takeaway from the Tasty House after a day at the races last week. The young lady (who said she was new) and took our order was so lovely, very friendly asking if we were enjoying our holiday and genuinely interested in us.

You don't get a lot for your money and the food is absolutely disgusting I was not very happy with it I was looking forward to it but when I got the meal it didn't feel you up and for the price you get twice as much in other Chinese shop so I think it's disgusting for the price so I would not go to the shop ever again and I would recommend you wouldn't go because you won't be happy I don't know where they get their food from but it was absolutely horrible

We ordered a takeaway from here whilst holidaying at Haven Seashore. The lady on the phone was polite and delivery was prompt (In fact it was considerably quicker than quoted!). We had to meet the delivery driver at the park entrance as they are not allowed on site, which wasn’t a problem - he called as he was leaving the shop so we could start walking. Food was hot and delicious with generous portions. Will definitely use again when next in the area.

Lovely food but everytime I seem to order they never do it how I've asked... like the sat and pepper baked chicken dry, comes covered is some sort of juice which runs it... not overly happy and doubt I will order again because of this.

Under new management. The portions are smaller than before but the same or higher in price. Only cash is accepted and they are no longer part of 'Just Eat'. Very inconvenient and disappointed as we used to use it all the time.

Hubby’s favourite for Chinese , celebrating daughters birthday this was her request. They enjoyed chicken balls, egg fried rice, pancake roll, chips, chop suey. Delivery in the time quoted. Can’t fault it .

We have had food from here before, fancied easy tea so ordered food told 45mins. Food on time and hot tasty fresh.although chips were maybe heated twice not sure just ok.rest of food very good. Will ask next time about the chips as someone needs to be told. Will we go back yes.

Food disappointing. Hot and sour soup too sweet. Spring rolls terrible. Pineapple rice with hardly a piece of pineapple. From order to food over counter was only 2 minutes.Too quick.

decided to order from here due to our usal dragons palace being closed and will never order from here again.after reading the reviews I am hugely disappointed I ordered egg fried rice and well what can I say was under cooked.husband had a chicken chowmein and said the chicken was tough to chew.rice was unedable and went in the bin waste of money avoid this place

Went twice while on holiday. Huge portions and very tasty food. Their curry tastes like I remember Chinese curry tasting as a kid. Lovely. Far too many places their curry sauce is sweet and gloopy. Will be going here again in April when we go back to Great Yarmouth.

Terrible is a polite word to use. Dry chicken balls with dark hartd crunchy batter. The chow mein wasn't too bad but it had hardly any meat. The sweet and sour just tasted like vinegar. I would rather vomit my lunch into a bowl and eat it than order from here again. Do enjoy :-)

The best Chinese I’ve had ever, wow what can I say I ordered chicken curry with egg fried rice and my wifey had chow main and mini spring roll, mini being opposite they were massive I mean I like to see how big the spring rolls are. Defo food ever I would defo come again. It came within 30mins which is good. Keep up the good work. 10/10

We decided to go and collect as we were only down the road at caister and food was ready when I picked it up. Was till hot when we got back to our deckhouse. It's a tradition for us to have a Chinese takeaway on the first night of our holiday, and so we decided on the Tasty House in Caister. Not much to look at inside, but it was clean & busy, usually a good sign. We ordered a variety of appetisers and meal items, and it was all ready in about 10 minutes. When got back to our caravan about 4 miles away, our food was still nice and hot. The food was well cooked, and very tasty, not swimming in oil like some. Portion sizes were good, and the prices seemed quite reasonable. We all agreed it would've been 5 star if it wasn't for the fact that a few of our sweet & sour chicken balls were missing from our order.

Staying in a holiday chalet in California, we decided to order a takeaway. The telephone order was taken by a friendly, helpful member of staff and arrived when expected, from a very courteous driver. The meal was piping hot and delicious. The portions were generous, and there was even enough for a meal the following night.

Nice flavours. Not too greasy. Better than other take aways we have had in the area. Would probably go back again
