Golden Dragon in Great Yarmouth

We visited here tonight for the first time & it was beautiful! The food was perfect & very tasty! Enjoyed every last bit! We will definitely be returning! Very reasonably priced too!

I ordered a combo meal sweet and sour chicken balls and chicken chow mein. I got food poisoning from it. I got it on Tuesday and I have been ill all the rest of the week. In my 20 years of going there once a year I have never had food poisoning before.

the barbecue ribs and satay dishes are the best

I’m always quite fussy with eating Chinese so I read the reviews on this place and they were good so thought I’d give it a go, as we’re on holiday at Hemsby beach holiday park. We ordered 2 chicken curry’s amungst other things. Every thing else was good but the chicken curry was so salty me and my daughter couldn’t eat it. Not the cheapest place either. Like nearly £5 for a small rice, which I wouldn’t mind had the food been edible. Big waste of money and left with hungry children. Honestly was like someone had tipped a bucket of salt in the curry. Shame, won’t be using again. Back to the kebab shop it is 🤣

Had 7 different dishes fo 4 people. All good but the beef chow mein was a bit bland

Very impressed with the Chinese take away when staying in a Hemsby Chalet. I had wrongly assumed the food wouldn’t be at the quality it was. I will definitely return and order again. Food was thoroughly enjoyable.

Lovely food, but have to put three stars as I like prawn dishes when I go to Chinese, however the prawns still have their veins, so still have their digestives tracts, although safe to eat it has put me off ordering prawns from here. Other than that great food

We ordered takeout while staying at Richardsons over the bank holiday weekend and the food was fabulous. Best Chinese we’ve had in a while. If you’re holidaying in Hemsby and wanting Chinese this is the place to use. Will definitely use again on our next visit to Hemsby.

Best Chinese I've eaten in a long time. Ordered and collected within 15 minutes. Everything tasted freshly cooked.

I can truly say, it’s the best Chinese food in the area. It’s even better then the we have in Oxfordshire. Very enjoyed it, can’t wait to get there again just for the food. Thank you

Ok food, Much better tasting food can be found in london, No delivery service whilst holidaying, which won’t generate a regular customer, overall average place nothing special.

Ordered a take away 3 weeks ago. My mum was very ill after eating the chop suey. I didn't eat the same. Ordered the special fried rice, only 3rd of the dish was rice rest just a bit off meat and veg. Not worth the money one prawn in the dish aswell.

Terrible food . The chicken was processed and in square cubes the mushroom rice was awful it really smelt bad. The was no flavour to anything and I hate to give bad reviews but this is so justified.

AVOID! I had a takeaway from here on Sunday evening - the following morning I began to feel unwell and it has now been confirmed by my GP that I have a stomach infection, i.e. food poisoning. I had the chicken in plum sauce with plain noodles. Nothing else I ate prior to this meal could have caused this. Do not take the risk with this place, go elsewhere.

Even though I ordered the food an hour before, i turned up at the time they said, and still waited 30 mins in take away. OK food, had better.

Rude girl serving and food straight out a packet curry sauce and square lumps clearly cheap frozen chicken cubes very low quality.

Tasty food and good quantity . Tried all vegetarian dishes - veg spring rolls, mushroom and egg fried rice, veges in sweet & sour sauce (was too sweet for our liking) and Thai green curry

Really pricey and not great food. It was ready and hot for collection but had to wait about five minutes to pay on my card as their machine was not working.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING SERVICE. I walked into the Golden Dragon at 5pm and left at 7pm. 2 HOURS for food that wasn't cheap. I would not recommend to anyone due to the poor service. They gave my order to someone else, after an hour I asked where my order was.... They said " oh we gave it to someone" I asked how, they explained the order had another ticket and they throw my ticket away. How do you throw an order away and not expect the person to come and ask where it has been. Horrible service do not recommend.

Great food, quick service, good prices

Really nice food, will say probably the best rice I've had in years, would be 5 stars except for one little gripe, they take phone orders but don't even give you an estimate on how long and when you go along you're waiting outside with people waiting to order. Get a way for phone orders to be picked up quicker and be 5 stars all day long

After a day out decided to take Chinese food back to our chalet takeaway was clean and following COVID guidance the food was freshly cooked and delicious special chow mien was great

Ordered a Chinese to take back to the Richardson’s holiday park we were staying on. Chicken chow mein Crispy shredded beef Rice Beef in black beanAll was lovely until I noticed a couple of mouthfuls of crispy shredded beef was a little crunchier than usual! It’s because i was chewing on plastic ! White shards of plastic were inside the crispy beef. No wonder it was crispy. Safe to say I never ate anymore after. :(

Excellent Chinese from here, no hesitation in ordering again. Prawn balls were delicious and huge but a bit oily, rice, chow mein and chicken were all very good.

We were staying at the holiday park next door and had a "we could have this or... we could get a Chinese for tea" moment. Chinese won and thought may as well try the nearest place. Outside does not look impressive. Inside does not look impressive, but my order was quickly taken and there were seats to sit on whilst waiting. The food was freshly cooked (as you would expect) but didnt have to wait too long. We shared Mushroom Foo Yung, Sweet and sour chicken balls and boiled rice. There was more than enough for the two of us, cooked through properly and it was delicious.

We use this every year we come down for a week and use it around 2_3 times each holiday food Is perfect every time definitely recommended

We decided to try this takeaway, first time from r a long time.Ordered a set meal for two people, it was hot, tasty and plentiful. One dish was beef with mushrooms, the mushrooms were so fresh I wondered if they had grown their own. With so much food, we put some aside for later, I left the table feeling stuffed, which is not a common reaction to Chinese food.Yesm will go back for another takeaway

Visited a couple of times during our stay in hemsby as it was very conveniently positioned for our holiday Park. Food was hot, tasty and well prepared and tasted pretty authentic. Also most importantly, no one was ill afterwards

If I could leave a 0 rating I would. To start things off, pop in to order and the lady was extremely rude. I order some sweet and sour chicken, not only was the portion tiny for the £6 I spent, I could have lived with that, but what really got me was when I opened the container all it had was vegetables and half a container of what they claim to be sweet and sour sauce. 1I then call up, all I get told is we wouldn't have forgot then getting hung up on. Wouldn't even recommend a homeless person who is offered free food to go there.

Excellent food wide choice and a prompt service I would definitely recommend a visit for Chinese food lovers the special curry and fried rice I had was up there with the best I’ve tasted keep up the good work.

Visited twice while staying at Hemsby Beach, the food was excellent, the staff were friendly and very reasonably priced. The outside needs a refresh but the food is good value

Looks a bit shabby from outside. Ordered over phone to take back to the caravan. Food hot cooked well. Polite staff. Think just needs a little tlc. To make it look a bit more inviting.

The Portion sizes are compaired to the 3 Chinese local to where I live, the food itself is fine with the exception of the egg fried rice..!...Very Small Grains..
