Mandarin House Restaurant in Great Yarmouth

in the notes I requested no onion and no garlic in meal due to allergies, this was not adhered to, so meal was wasted.

i ordered chicken and mushrooms. all the chicken was just fat no meat, but it was hot, singapore noodles was just that, just noodles not a lot of veg rest of order was ok. had better from other take aways wouldnt order again

chips weren't very nice all soggy

this is my first time complaining, shame because its our favourite place for Chinese. our food was cold, had to reheat our food, and the salt and peppercorn tasted like plastic.not great

Don’t order anything with Chicken- it’s really chewy

Chicken chow mein and the crispy shredded chicken was amazing but the curry was bland and flavourless and very watery, not very pleasant to be honest. Shame because everything else was yum!

chips were covered in salt, if I wanted salt I would of picked the salt option, curry was so watery it may as well just been flavoured water

I rarely review food but this really wasn’t very nice so I feel I have to. The chicken was like jelly, I couldn’t even look at it let alone eat it. The noodles were so greasy and wet and I couldn’t eat many. So disappointed

Really good food, everything was fresh and all well labelled on the site (vegan, no egg, etc.) took just over an hour to arrive but presuming they were busy as was Saturday night. Will definitely order from there again.

Got a delivery Ordered chicken balls and mushroom curry and some vegetable spring rolls, I don't normally do reviews but this food was so bad I had to, the amount of grease from the chicken balls was disgusting and vegetable spring rolls tasted vile, the mushroom curry was so watery and had barely any mushrooms, would not eat again.

Really good food and great quality, even more impressed as was nearly at the end of the night and other places quality drop - but not here.

The chicken curry was tasteless no spicy heat as advertised it was useless. Will never use this place again what a waste of money!

Very expensive. Slightly cold. Crispy chilli beef to hard to chew , chicken balls we left as couldn’t bite into properly (gristly) duck was nice, chow mien nice, lemon chicken nice

Food quality was awful, chips not cooked fully, curry was tasteless & watery disgusting.

100% would not recommend! Food was 45 minutes early but the food was barely warm, the chips had gone hard and when warmed up they tasted awful. I ordered salt and pepper chicken balls and chips and I'm unsure where the salt & pepper was because it wasn't on my food.. the egg fried rice tasted like plain boiled rice, no seasoning or flavour whatsoever! Only ordered from here to try the salt and pepper chicken balls and chips and would definitely not be ordering from here again.

First time having a Chinese in Great Yarmouth, and was absolutely lovely. I'm on holiday with family only 4 adults where eating. Ordered a variety of food and was very happy to hear how cheap it was. When I ordered the lady who answered the phone was very polite and friendly and I collected as it was really close to where we was staying. I was greeted with a happy friendly lady and my food was made and waiting straight away. The food itself was extremely well portioned in fact more than what I normally receive and at a better price than I normally pay. Even though I could not finish it all I can not fault it all the different foods where done hot and with lovely flavours. I wouldn't normally leave a review but I would highly recommend anybody reading this to give it ago and let me know anymore experiences. I shall return if we are back in the area no question. Thank you very much

Chips were like cardboard and freezing cold. Not hard to get simple chips correctly cooked and kept warm.

We ordered at 1812, had 2 updates from Just Eat saying there was a delay. Fair enough they kept in touch. Rang the restaurant to find out what was happening and they called back within 2 mins confirming delivery time. Fully expected the food to eventually turn up cold. However it was delivered at 745pm, piping hot and delicious. We had hot and sour soup which was the best I've ever tasted, Chinese dumpings, curry, chow mein, and sides. All piping hot and really tasty. We're on holiday but if this place was local it would become a regular to us. Will order when we're back next year!

Did not know the wait time till order time till paid when arrived house special chowmein no meat dry tasteless same with king prawn 6 prawns tasteless for 24.00 was not worth the money .very disappointed.

Really bad food. Was very bland and I ordered a pancake roll and it had no meat init just bean sprouts

Curry was like yellow water and the chicken was slimie. Both me and my boy left it. The prawn crackers were chewy. The chips tasted like had been heated through twise. Over all very dissatisfied and went in the bin.

Delicious hot food delivered quicker than expected, asked for no veg in chow mein which was accommodated, food was piping hot when it arrived and tasted lovely, no complaints at all! Staying at a family caravan and will definitely be recommending to future guests

Really not happy , after spending 50 on a treat for our family the food was cold not just that but the curry had no flavour it was like a pool of water with slimy chicken cold too . I’m sorry but we decided to eat here as our normal brad-well Chinese was closed which is always delicious .will never order form here again .

If your ordering for a chinese curry, don't order from here. The chicken was very rubbery after being in water, the sauce was very watery and salty. The rice was OK but overcooked, as well as the crackers you could tell they was not fresh, they was left for a while and you could chew them they was that stale. Try somewhere else, refunding order.

We ordered our food at approximately 7.30pm for delivery at 9pm. We called at 9.10pm to enquire where it was and were told that the kitchen was running late as they were so busy. They told us it would be with us within 10 minutes. We called again at 9.30pm to enquire where it was and could we claim compensation. We were offered free drinks for the inconvenience. We were once again told it would be with us within 10 minutes. Our food finally arrived at 9.45pm and the free drinks were one can of coke. We called again to inform them that we were disgusted with the service and compensation. We will NEVER order from Mandarin House again.

Ordered food 2 hours before it was due to be delivered still turned up 20 minutes late having said that the food itself was very good

The chicken curry wasn’t the best but everything else was okay.
