Lovely food, been going there for years

Love this place, have been using for over 40 years now, food is delicious, staff are lovely, definitely recommend

Had a lovely takeaway piping hot and very taiste.

Recently ordered some food from here. Took an hour to arrive. Honey sesame chicken was extremely hard & inedible, ended up in the bin. Won't be ordering from here again!

Honestly there food is excellent never had a bad one all the years I had food of them

We always get our Chinese from here. Consistently good, and fair prices. Never a long wait. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

What a great little find. I was recommended this take away and thank god I was .I didn't phone or pre order just walked in and ordered yes he said would be a while even though they just opened but by amount of times the phone was ringing off the hook so I guessing everyone else knows it's excellent. And well I wasn't disappointed food was fantastic so much flavour and quality was out of this world. So will I visit again hell yes and recommend to all my colleagues that stay in the area . Good job

Such Lovely Food at Chinese Takeaway Happy View!! I’m a DUCK CURRY and BEEF FRIED RICE man, delicious it is. I’ve tried other things off menu but the above is my personal favourite… compliments to chef. Also friendly professional front of house staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK THANK YOU

I ordered 2 prawn omelettes, chips and peas, and had delivered. The food was delicious the chips were excellent, but to much for us to eat, so gave to 2 neighbours, delivery was excellent, food hot, will be using, from now on

Tasty food. The service was amazing. I ordered the chili crispy beef and chicken balls. They were crispy and I craved more afterwards!

I had chicken curry egg fried rice, I shared a pancake roll ( it was large) and chips the chips where nasty hard and horrible

Worst Chinese we have had... Ever! 3 dishes tasted pretty much indistinguishable from each other.... Gravy tasting vegetable stock with Chinese vegetables... I'm not sure I would get another Chinese takeaway in great Yarmouth if this is reported by others to be one of the best... Food did come on time and was hot.

Nice food here,not tried it here before as normally have it from hemsby but very good food and really quick service, don't let the other reviews put you off as it's decent enough and real tasty

Had the 73 Happy view special fried rice, used be be great few years back, awful, also had the special chow mien, suppose to be barbecue sauce but was horrible, sorry but 2/10 at the best, won't be ordering again!!!!!!

In my opinion this is the best Chinese takeaway in Great Yarmouth. Food is well cooked and presented, portions are generous. They also deliver. My only criticism is that you can't order on line. Otherwise....... Perfect.

Worst chinese ive ever had, bbq sauce was like water no taste what so ever, only 3 tiny pieces of duck in an xl chowmein, also tasteless, never again

My partner and I are on holiday in G.Yarmouth and really fancied a Chinese on Friday. We checked out the reviews and this place seemed to have the best ones and it close by too. We tel ordered before it opened at 5pm, And it was ready by the time we drove there. It smelt good, it was still hot by the time we drove back to our caravan and was fresh! Every thing was full of flavour. We wanted a Chinese to keep going back to Pick at and it was delicious. Portion sizes were normal except the prawn crackers - that portion size was small. And we wanted vermicelli Singapore noodles, but they didn’t have those, so they gave us thin noodles instead which were slightly over cooked but still tasted good.. would definitely recommend and go back to! Would of gave 5 stars if it wasn’t for the crackers and the noodles.

Ordered for a collection when visiting the area. It was a tasty and didn’t wait too long for it. We really enjoyed it and the prawns in the special chow main were fantastic 😊

Delivery took 1 hour 15 mins when told 30-40 mins I did phone them after an hour, didn't get an apology or any explanation just that it's on it's way.

Always go here for sweet &sour oriental style pork. Tasty and crisp. Plus they accept cards now.

This was my first time takeaway in 20 years from the Happy View. Dissapointed in the Malaysian chicken curry. 20 years ago it was a great fruity red curry. This time it was a simple chicken curry with a gew bits of pineapple thrown in. The hot and sour soup and mini sprnig rolls were good. I have rated average due my dissapointment in what was a fantastic curry 20 years ago.

Have used many times and food always good, deleivery prompt. I especially like the honey chicken and sweet chilli beef.

Not as good as other Chinese food places I've been to. Rice is stodgy, sweet & sour sauce way too thick.

Normally great but tonight i waited 1hr n 20mins for my order which with 2 hungry toddlers is a massive wait. When i rang to c whete order was they just said sorty their busy. Well dont tell me it will be 40 mins then if i would of known would of cooked something instead😠

I have bought take away from Happy View for a number of years, I have stuck with them when you had to pay for rice with your curry. I even stuck with them when they said their suppliers had increased there price! In recent orders I have thought the meat was a bit lacking when one take away I found 6 pieces of chicken. But yesterday I phoned up for my usual to find now you have to pay a delivery charge, ok it’s 50p but I normally tip the delivery driver anyway. Do they get the 50p I don’t tip the owner if he delivers as I used to get a calendar every Xmas, but he seemed to knock that on the head. He has his young son working on the counter and taking telephone orders, so his overheads for staff aren’t a great deal. I think it’s just a case of greed! After maybe 8 years, I am going to find myself a new Chinese takeaway as I feel this one doesn’t care about its customers loyalty! This is Great Yarmouth, people can’t afford all the extras this owner likes to add on!

As a holiday maker in Great Yarmouth I would recommend this take away to any visiting tourists who like Chinese take aways the sweet and sour sauce was a bit thicker than I usually have but there was no complaints from any of the family and the service was very quick

Best Chinese takeaway I've ever had!. Food and family are always consistently nice. It's a lovely atmosphere. I've been coming here for over 10 years. I hope they can franchise out so I can have a happy view any where I go! 🙏. I thought having burnt or microwaved noodles was normal until I came to this place! 🤔😂. Always cooked to perfection! 👏

Ordered a chkcken curry a long with various other dishes when it arrived and we had payed and sat down to eat i noticed the chicken curry was in the same container along with my egg fried rice meaning i only got half a chicken curry and half egg fried rice but the price didnt half It a tasted ok and no other complaints shame on you Happy View

After placing a large order which took a few attempts to get correct, food arrived on time as was nice ..... the bill was £118-60p to be exact. The delivery driver was given the money which we all thought was £120 and left . I then reviewed calls and texts to say I only gave her £110!!!!!! Well in my eyes bit late you should of checked while standing in my house not when you get back to the shop. Also how do we prove this???? As a gesture of good will I agreed and said ok cone back and get the £8.60. Low and behold 3 hours later nearly 11pm a knock on the door to collect the £8-60!!! Surely petrol money would cost that! But hey ho I did the right thing and paid. So please count out money to them to make sure you give correct money if not this may happen again. Lesson learnt happy view too check money in front of customers

Probably the best Chinese takeaway I have ever eaten at.

Just moved into the area and had a Chinese from here food was good shame about portion sizes! as thought it was a kids menu when I got home if the portion sizes was of all other Chinese takeaways it would of got a 5 star from me! Come on happy view just buy the bigger tubs like all your competitors!

Worst takeaway ever. I Found disgusting thick black hairs in my food I was so Repulsed I Threw It All Away. I was expecting the food to be bad. But not this bad, this has been here for a long time but doesn't excuse the food. Lived in Yarmouth 35years the was once good NOW yucky sick They definitely need to be reported. Really good food and very accommodating of dietary needs. The staff were friendly and chatty. There is convenient parking opposite and they also offer delivery at a reasonable price.

What can I say , group of 7 people, ordered a takeaway got delivered to our boat , fantastic piping hot , food was absolutely fantastic, everything we ordered from crispy chilli beef to chicken satay , chicken curry with chips ECT was all freshly cooked and piping hot when delivered. If you want a gorgeous fulfilling meal go here I highly recommend to everyone

I have had probably the smallest portion of chicken balls I’ve ever received from a Chinese takeaway, the chicken was the size of kfc popcorn chicken and the entire ball was the size of a marble.

Had lots of meals from this takeaway and they have always been really good and they run a good home delivery service as well. Haven't found a better Chinese takeaway in great Yarmouth.
