Forgot prawn crackers again ! But lovely food and speedy delivery makes up for it

The food arrived very well packaged, the packaging was very clean. (Presentation is important) and it was presented very well. It was piping hot when it arrived, well seasoned, the portion sizes are very good. Ingredients tasted fresh, and not greasy. Could have done with a bit more king prawn to rice ratio especially based on the price of the dish, but based on all I've said above, I will most certainly order from here again, when I'm next moved for takeaway. Oh and the delivery time was shorter than on the Just eat App but that's an even bigger surprise.

The food was lovely but a bit cold. The garlic chilli chips barely had any garlic and chilli on them though and the spring rolls were a bit chewy. Was good other than that

First time of ordering and very impressed. Ordered the same dishes as we have from our usual Chinese and these were definitely better. Huge prawns for the starter and beautifully crispy. Hadn’t suffered from travelling

Food excellent as always. Food arriving in less than 15 mins rather than the 60 mins suggested by the Just Eat website is a problem. Restaurant and Just Eat need to liaise better to get a more accurate time prediction

I hesitate to say that the excellent Peking Duck was late because it was Chinese New Year and I imagine that the staff were run off their feet. I will use this restaurant again on a normal evening.

lovely chicken balls, is it meant to be so oily🙈 I liked it 'cause it was crunchy! it would be even better if it came with complimentary prawn crackers we also liked the chow mein but volume was lacking considering I paid for large, would have liked more beansprouts in it and to see egg in fried rice as it looked more like plain white rice☺️

Main food was hot, veg rolls were fairly cold which was a shame. Chow mein was a little greasier than usual as well. Tasty though overall.

After two and a half hours waiting for a delivery and two I had to go to collect myself. Seriously! App was quoting 35-50 minutes. The food is good but the service can be intolerable.

Absolutely delicious, Hunan sea spiced king prawn is a new favourite. Ingredients super fresh as always with crunchy veg and packed full of flavour.

Unfortunately really greasy food. I had chicken balls, prawn toast and a spring roll - which I get are all deep fried food, but oil was pouring out of them. The rice was very tasty as was the sweet and sour sauce. Sadly won’t be ordering from here again.

A big decline. Prices have increased around 25% recently, while the food quality has not changed, and possibly even declined. I'm not sure if they are taking advantage of the post-lockdown situation, but such an increase is not justified - better quality can be found at simple Chinese restaurants for a similar price. On food quality, much of aubergine in my dish was cut too large and had not been cooked fully, so was hard and woody. Please get back to where you were a couple of months ago!

Fantastic Chinese food! Arrived pipping hot and delicious to the last bite.

This is one of the best and most reliable Chinese takeaways in the area and we’re lucky to have it on our doorstep. They master starters, ribs are excellent. Noodles are great, sweet dishes are perfectly balanced. Portion size is good and always have left over the next day.

Food was clearly forgotten about, had to chase the order on the phone and was then told it would be another 25 mins. Total 1 hour 20 mins late (2 hours 20 from order time). When the food did arrive it was pretty average. All in all not a great experience!

Best chinese in the area. Can’t believe it’s taken so long to try it out!

In lockdown and fancied a Chinese. This was a fantastic meal. Big portions, super fresh ingredients. Chicken Satay had just a nice hint spice in the peanut sauce, the Beef Chow Mein was rich and full of flavour. Mmmmmmmm will definitely order again. Delivery was spot on as well.... thank you China Chef, thank you Just Eat.

Great Kung Po prawns and delicious duck with Chinese cabbage. Went well with the Singapore noodles.

The bean curd was sour ! apparently Grilled bean curd should be dipped in vinegar !!! called to complain and the answer was thats how we do it . Fair enough but I would like to point then it was of low quality.

Possibly the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. The aubergine tasted like cardboard. The seaweed tasted like it had been fished out of the Thames estuary and the rice was frankly of the lowest quality I’ve even eaten. (It was also boiled rice not egg fried rice as ordered but egg couldn’t have saved it) How can a Chinese takeaway get rice wrong? No chefs here.

Delivery was better then expected, but some dishes were ok but the rice and noddles were not nice.

When considering placing the order we were given an estimated delivery time of 40 minutes. However, once placed, the delivery time given to us was a massive hour and 20 minutes! We live very close to restaurant too! Disappointed. Will not order again as that is not acceptable. Food was ok

Food portions sizes were extremely small considering how much we paid!! Paid £20 for king prawn fried rice, chicken fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. All dishes came in a small container, not the large ones that most places would give. Rice was under seasoned and sweet and sour chicken was actually chicken balls in sauce. So not happy

Terrible service; food 2 hours late and cold

Restaurant is fab, but just eat seemed to have totally cocked up delivery at the moment.

We have been ordering food from China Chef since 2005 and it is always delicious. I would not use any other takeaway in the area. Highly recommended.

Ordered at 7.15pm, website said the order wouldn't arrive until 8.25. Not great to wait 70 minutes but have ordered from here and ot hasn't been that long. At 8.25 it hadn't arrived and called the restaurant twice to check on times, each time they said the driver was on his way. Food didn't arrive until 8.50, no apologies or freebies offered as a concession. A 1 hour 50 minute wait for food is not acceptable and had I known the wait would be that long I would never have placed the order.

Food was ok, delivery was prompt however called to make an alteration as we couldn't do it online and the women was so rude, not only did she speak to us terribly but also told us how we have inconvenienced her, then slammed down the phone. We along with all our friends and family will never use them again, terrible terrible place definitely one to avoid

Ordered from here multiple times, food is generally really good. Id recommend the beef in black bean sauce, roast duck cantonese style, special fried rice & king prawns in batter with sweet & sour sauce. Service from restaurant was very good when I called to enquire how much longer id have to wait for my food. However my last experience with the delivery driver was as shocking. My food arrived 1 hour 20mins after I ordered so 20 mins after the delivery time I was given. Diver then insisted that as i live far I must pay an extra £5 in cash to him. The restaurant is in Barnes and I live in Putney - so no it is not far and about a 15min drive from A to B! Bare in mind ive already paid the £1.50 delivery charge and service charge. I refused to pay the extra £5 and after going back and forth for about 2 mins he finally gave up and left. I presume they do this to get extra money to pocket themself. I called up to inform the restaurant about this and could tell they where genuinely shocked and said they would report the driver to just eat as this could damage the business reputation. Please be wary of this especially if you pay by cash and need change back eg a £5, you may not get it! Thankfully I paid by card in advance so was able to refuse to pay anything further.

The food was so delicious and fresh loved the soup thanks guys.

Although it arrived after the scheduled time, it was worth waiting for. It was the freshest and tastiest chinese we have had in many, many years.

The best crispy beef I have ever eaten

Usually a great meal but sadly not this time. Seaweed incinerated and duck really dry.

So ordered food for a Friday night with friends, food arrived 5 minutes early, only problem is when I opened the door the delivery man said that due to him delivering out of the area that I pay him £5, said to him i had already paid delivery charge and for him to demand money at the door is ridiculous. I told him that he needs to tell the restaurant that if they don’t deliver to the area that is the restaurants fault and they need to update with just eat. Never dealt with such awful service. Ridiculous!!!

Ordered 18:45, finally arrived at 20:35. The food was really not worth the wait. It tasted as if it had been reheated over and over. Used to look forward to ordering Chinese from here but am now going to look for a new favourite Chinese.

Very nice however, the chowmein with oyster sauce was really bad. Other than that, everything else was amazing!

First time ordering from here, food arrived early, portions are big, and the price is good for london, the curry sauce is quite spicy but a little oily, and the chow mein could use a bit more soy as it was quite dry, but overall i would order from here again as it was very tasty

Great 'old skool' Chinese restaurant, nothing clever. We've been ordering from them for years but this is the first time using Just Eat. Reasonably priced food and good portion sizes.
