A lovely little restaurant, as much as the manager who does the room service. Homemade dishes, rich in flavor and perfectly affordable!

This place is terrible. So expensive and the food quality is awful. I called the restaurant to complain and they just even care or want to help in anyway.

While in Kew for a month, my husband and I bout takeaway here. The restaurant is fast. The food is tasty. And the staff is so friendly. We shall return someday!

I would love to rate this place but I can't. It never seems to be open. I've lived in the area for seven years and never managed to catch them open according to their advertised times. They get two stars for being elusive

A very mixed experience. I ordered through Deliveroo. The aromatic crispy duck was fantastic, the egg fried rice was really good too. Unfortunately the crispy shredded beef was very dry and tough and didn't have enough sauce on it and the sweet and sour pork was also dry and tough and without enough sauce, what little sauce there was was watery. Worst of all though I thought I was chewing on a tough piece of pork but it was in face a piece of paper. Quite disgusting and needless to say I won't be back.

Down hill!! Have ordered here in the past and it’s been ok, however my recent order was not even edible (see pics) - sweet and sour was dry no sauce, just nuggets dipped in sauce, not something I could have with rice. - so called ‘shredded’ chicken with shallots was just a joke, over cooked chewy nuggets with a few shallots sprinkled. - prawn toast was burn as you can see from the pic . All in all the only dish that was edible was the rice, the whole meal ended up in the bin!!! Never again!!!

Extremely Bland food, small portions & I kindly asked to swap sweet and sour sauce with a curry sauce (exact same price) and they refused!!! Poor customer service.

I've no idea how this place has any good reviews. The food was stone cold when it arrived, we had to reheat it ourselves. The sweet and sour sauce was like water, it was thin and pale. The chicken was chewy like rubber. The spring rolls were over £6 for only two?! The chow mein was dry and tasteless. So disappointing and a massive waste of money.

Just had had a delivery from Kew Gardens oriental through Deliveroo. The food arrived suspiciously quickly. Probably the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. Everything had been refried; who knows how many times the chicken balls had been fried...inedible and rock hard. The egg fried rice was tasteless, chow mein again tasted like it had been refried. Even the rice crackers and crispy seaweed were stale...Really disappointed as it is a time we are supposed to support local restaurants but quite frankly I’m borderline offended with the food that I was sent considering we spent £40.

Looking for a meal for me and the kids. Found this 200 yards from Kew underground, excellent food and service, served in less than 10 mins. Staff attentive. Good value too. Loved the food.

Having visited Kew Gardens happened across this takeaway with small dining area. Food arrived promptly and was delicious accompanied by cold Tiger beer. Would definitely visit again.

A bit heavy on the msg(very thirsty after eating)? Ironically, the food was also a bit bland.

Not been back for a year.. but This place really needs to grow up. £8.00 for a main .. it’s like a starter.. taste ok just leaves a feeling of being ripped off, oh and hunger. Won’t be back

Very tasty food and excellent service. The dumplings are pricey for the quantity that you get. You can order or take away, or you can sit and enjoy your food at this little Chinese place. The best Chinese around Kew so far!

Very expensive. The portion of every dishes that we ordered is very tiny. It takes atleast three main courses to an average person. Never seen a chinese restaurant this expensive.

Worst sweet and sour chicken with no sauce or veg. When I called to complain. I was told that it’s a family run business of 32 years and they don’t do sauce and only a little veg in sweet and sour chicken. Feel totally ripped off.

No sauce, one tiny slice of pepper, one carrot and 4 slices of onion - awful! Will never order from here again.

I ordered the Vegetarian Singapore Noodles and it was so salty that it was uneatable. I called the restaurant and the person I talked to told me to ask for "less salt on my food next time I order there". Seriously? Wouldn't recommend it and definitely will never order again.

Went over to the restaurant, parked and paid for parking only to find the restaurant was closed! Clearly advertised online that it’s opened until 2pm for lunch! Not very impressed especially when we had to go through all that traffic!

Been here a couple of times, food is ok but way over priced. £9.00 for curry. Happy to pay, but 4 small prawns and two table spoons of curry. Not good. Spent £40 with friend then went to the chip shop .. still hungry

Sat in to eat with my partner before visiting the Gardens. We had a delightful meal which was tasty and a good portion size. To add on top of that, the staff are so sweet and we really enjoyed talking to them. Definitely visiting again when we're in the area.

We have been getting takeaways from here for many years and theya re of the highest standard. The staff are delightful and it is always a pleasure to collect the food oneself. Every local area should have a takeaway of this quality

Had heard good things about this local restaurant so ordered a takeaway. Ordered online, went to pick up. The restaurant is really small, so not sure I'd go there to eat in. The owners are really nice, friendly and helpful. I think they've run it for a while.Everything we ordered was just perfect, not the usual Chinese I get that sometimes feels like it's all pre prepared. Everything tasted freshly made.Not cheap, but will definitely be ordering from them again

It's a small restaurant just by the station so don't expect any sophistication, but the staff is always friendly and serves you with a smile. The food is great, fresh ingredients and a delicate but tasty seasoning.

Fuimos allí en octubre. Estábamos cerca y encontramos algunas buenas críticas en tripadvisor y probarlo. No nos decepcionó. Las porciones no eran muy grandes y el precio no era muy baja, así que no esperes a ser bien alimentados en el barato. Sin embargo, la comida era encantador y bien vale la pena visitar. Volveré la próxima vez que esté en la zona. Todos los platos eran preciosas y el dueño fue de lo más atento y servicial. Lugar es pequeño. Más como una comida para llevar, con algunas mesas y sillas en contraposición a un restaurante pero todo fue perfecto para nosotros.

Vanavond na het werk gegeten in dit kleine gezellige restaurant. De bediening is vlot en erg aardig. Het was flink koud vandaag en ze had een plaatsje voor ons bij de verwarming.

Vinimos aquí porque estábamos en la zona y que esto tenía buenas críticas. Es un pequeño restaurante. El camarero era muy agradable. La comida era increíble, pero las raciones eran minúsculas. Casi nos sentimos engañados. Y tengo una familia de cinco, así que no era barato y yo todavía con hambre! Volvería si era solo mi marido y yo, pero no con mi camada. Una pena de verdad!

My and wife recently visited London and stayed around the Kew Gardens area. Being Asian and after travelling in Northern Europe for over 4 weeks prior to London, we were looking forwards to have a nice Chinese meal. My wife did a Google search and discovered that a highly recommended Chinese restaurant, Kew Gardens Oriental Cuisine is located near the Kew Gardens train station. We had our dinner at the restaurant on the second day of our London stay, and we were very much surprised by the quality of food on offer. The restaurant is relatively small but cosy. The dishes were also relatively small in terms of serving size, but they were all a delight to have; authentic taste and beautiful to look at. The service was good and efficient. The host was very friendly. We would not believe that one could find such a gem in suburbia London. We were so impressed by the restaurant that we went back there to have dinners for 3 consecutive nights. I have no hesitation to recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a nice inexpensive Chinese meals in the Kew Gardens area of London.

We come here every time we visit Kew from Aberdeen - the food is great, we always have a wonderful welcome from the owner - and the restaurant is small so feels much more personal great takeaways too but sometimes it's just nice to go out and this is a definite great place to go out too ❤️

We met up and although the small restaurant and takeaway is busy we were soon served with drinks and prawcrackers followed by a good array of well cooked and delicious dishes.

Very prompt service and very tasty freshly prepared food. Clean resturant if not a bit small, looks like they do predominantly takeaway but eating in for a quick meal was pleasant enough.

Great takeaways in the past but last time food was disappointing. Crispy shredded beef was chewy not crispy, sweet and sour sauce tasted of lemon and sweetener and was pale yellow in colour. Restaurant insisted it was sweet and sour and said it may taste different as they don't use additives. That sounds great but we all still thought they had sent lemon sauce. Anyway it was nothing like it was meant to be.

We moved to the area a few years ago, have tried various Chinese Delivery places and have never wanted to order from them again. All that changed last night. This place is the benchmark, and you can see why it has glowing reviews. The price is justified for the excellent quality and personal service. We've found our go to Chinese!

Welcoming takeaway opposite Kew Gardens station (southbound platform exit). Food tasty, good helpings, free prawn crackers. Not gourmet cooking but perfectly acceptable. Seemed quite expensive to the yokel from Devon but probably no more than anywhere else in the area! A few tables if you want to dine,

Visited the "restaurant" recently. In fact, its not a restaurant,but a few chairs flung together in the front shop of a Chinese take away.The food is terrible, the very cheapest ingredients- our chicken tasted straight from freezer -dipped in a cheap sauce and microwaved. The soups were thin devoid of flavour and inedible.The eye rolling bill for 2 people was £37. 2 soups 2 mains and a rice . 10/10 for the owners tenacity to call this a restaurant- however, we were extremely disappointed and will never ever visit again.

Just thinking of having a cheeky takeaway (as you do) when bam it hit me why not have Chinese. I heard about a great place to get Chinese food from, via a friend, which was this temple of delicacies and so thought why not. I certainly didn't regret the decision, because the food I got was sensationally good and for a great price prepared in minimal time as I was in a rush to watch a TV programme at home. Best Chinese food I've ever had in my life! I highly recommend it :)

After spending the afternoon at Kew Gardens, we stumbled upon this gem! Lots of choices on the menu! I ordered shredded chili chicken and rice and my husband had a double cooked pork dish and spring rolls. The food came out quick and was delicious! Would definitely go back!

Love the food. Convenient and even their customers are super friendly. When I talked to the customers most of them have been their customers for years. The owner, Debbie, amazingly can remember everybody's name. The food is very traditional chinese cooking. Nothing like those modern twisted unrecognisable so called chinese food. Good variety and great price. Highly recommended.

I have been using this restaurant for years, since my daughter was a baby, and she's now 21.....but I am afraid it is a very different story in recent times. Ingredients have been pared down to the cheapest that can be offered, and for not so cheap prices. I saw the very recent reviews of great praise, closely following a not-so-clever review. When I complained about my order, I had ended up with an argument about the dishes and was then told they would credit me with one dish out of the four I ordered (under the presumption that I would order again). I am told the chef is the same, but the lady on the phone is not. Maybe they changed their accountant, hence the difference in food quality.

AKA: "Debbie's" is a wonderful find. Great food, service and restaurant. We routinely go out of our way to come here, rather than the places in Richmond proper.

Ik ben in dit restaurant geweest om af te halen, omdat ik heel nieuwsgierig ben naar Chinese restaurants in alle landen waar ik kom, en waar een Chinees restaurant te vinden is. Het is een goed restaurant. Mijn keuze was gevallen op chicken in oyster sauce en stir fried udon (noodles). Ik kan zeggen dat het heerlijk was. Goed van smaak en ruim voldoende. Ik kan er twee dagen van eten. Zeker te weten dat ik hier nog een keer ga afhalen.

When we left Kew Gardens after the wonderful Christmas at Kew event we felt really hungry so we tried to find something in walking distance. Didn't know whether a takeaway would be the right place - it was. Couldn't have been better. Everything was fresh and of high quality and was served quickly and they were so friendly. While we were eating quite a lot of locals came in to get a takeaway menu. They obviously knew the place very well. So this is the best proof that they have been happy before - as happy as we were. When going to London the next time it will be Kew Gardens AND this restaurant.

I needed a quick meal as my wife was having the annual dinner of her book group at our house. Kew Gardens Oriental Cuisine used to be an excellent takeaway, but has now moved upmarket and also is a small restaurant. The menu is traditional Cantonese and looks enticing. If I had not been on the wagon, I would have had one of their Chinese beers.The restaurant is quite small but I had a really warm welcome and had an excellent meal of crispy duck with noodles. Both were really good and were downed with large quantities of Chinese tea.Simon Poon is an excellent chef and the restaurant is well worth a visit.

Chilli Beef had hardly any sauce, Singapore Chow Mein had no flavour nor did the rice. Not much flavour to any of the dishes we had from the takeaway menu. Would not use again.

Favourite Cantonese food in Kew. Cannot fail to produce an excellent meal. Ideal for a quick meal for two; perfect for a feast at home. Everything cooked fresh - with a smile. Ask for your favourite, and they will appear as if you were in Wan Chai. Serve warm and quickly!

What a great restaurant, the food is very very good, this has to be one of the best Chinese restaurants I have eaten in.All the food was cooked to order so fresh, plenty of it and delicious, we asked the owner to choose our meals and what a great idea, lots of variety. The wine was unbelievably cheap and it was ok, we drank a few bottles and made sure other dinners enjoyed a glass or two with us just to make sure.The service could not be faulted from the moment you walked in to the point you leave it is perfect. A family run place and lots of locals and families came in when we were there, so you knew it was going to be good.A big thank you for putting up with us that night (Rugby) you were all great.When in the area again I will be going back.J & M

We use this as our Chinese takeaway of choice. Forget The Good Earth which is overpriced and with small portions, Kew Gardens Oriental Cuisine is just as fresh and delicious and far more expensive competitors and the portions are generous too.Meals arrive quickly and hot and the order is always 100% correct

Great takeaway and friendly service

Definitely the best in town! I always use this take away when I fancy Chinese meal. Just found out recently they deliver food as well. They are all nice staffs and the menu is not pricey at all. They serve mainly Cantonese. Highly recommended!
