The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Chinese food

Jackie's was our favourite Chinese spot, always fresh and full of flavour. We went last night and the shop was empty but thought maybe it's because it's a Sunday night. We got home and the egg fried rice and chow mein tasted burnt. We called up the Chinese and returned to get a replacement. Older lady ripped into us as we did not return bad food although person on the phone said we didn't need too. Got home and the food was exactly the same, burnt. Two chefs in the kitchen older man and women who have cooked every time before and been incredible. The chicken balls were tough and could barely chew them. Sweet and sour sauce was good. After years of eating here, we will never be returning again.

Not Impressed when my takeaway arrived with item missing I paid for, contacted them told them of the missing item was told it will be on its way soon but it never turned up, my family was very disappointed will not be ordering from there again

La comida siempre es agradable y tengo un plato favorito personal que es el laogonma chow mein (que es picante) pero cada vez que hemos pedido desde entonces, los niveles de picante han disminuido significativamente haciéndolo un poco peor, pero aparte de eso muy agradable

I had a really nice Singapore chow mein and Kung Po Chicken from here. Service was quick and they gave me free prawn crackers! Lovely.

Always use this Chinese Takeaway when I'm over visiting family in Kent. Staff are friendly Food is Excellent, fresh and hot with good quality portions....one of the best Chinese takeaways I've visited

Disgusting, filthy kitchen. This place should be closed down. The food may taste ok but if you could see behind the scenes you would never eat here again. Frozen food reheated and left out all day and night. Food hygiene rating of 1 a few years ago.

Been waiting to order a Chinese from here for so long and it was definitely worth the wait! I haven’t had crispy chilli beef since becoming coeliac over 13 years ago, and they recommended the crispy beef in GF peking sauce and it was amazing. We also ordered the salt & chilli king prawns (amazing), egg fried rice, chips & curry sauce. Best gluten free Chinese I’ve ever had, you wouldn’t think it was any different to a regular Chinese takeaway order honestly. Thanks so much!!

Charge 10p for carrier bag, food not the hottest

Really delicious, fresh and flavourful Chinese takeaway and genuinely lovely staff/owners. The crispy chilli chicken is easily the best we've ever had, anywhere. A real gem in Daventry town centre!

We had a very disappointing meal on Saturday night. It took over an hour to get our food and the delivery charge was £7.00 which really pushed up the cost of our meal. I appreciate it was a Saturday and would have been very busy, but it was early evening. As soon as we received our order and took the lids off the foil trays our hearts sank. The food looked overcooked, beige and greasy. We don’t have a Chinese takeaway very often, it’s usually a real treat, so we were looking forward to this, sadly we were all disappointed. The king prawn balls had obviously been cooked twice and were overcooked in burnt thick batter with very little prawn. The crispy seaweed tasted very strange and too much sugar on it. It tasted to both of us like their oil needed changing. I love tofu, but the black bean sauce was too overpowering and thick. The sir fry mixed vegetables in Szechaun sauce tasted just like overcooked vegetables in gravy. Even the prawn crackers were not nice, too thick and not fresh tasting. My husband said his crispy chilli beef was nice, but the egg fried rice was overcooked and beige. It just wasn’t a nice meal. I called them up because I didn’t want to leave disparaging feedback without speaking to them first, but to be honest I couldn’t get a word in edgeways. The manager just constantly talked at me, so much so I said I was going to have to put the phone down. They did offer us free king prawn balls on our next visit, but we decided that we won’t be using them again.

My moms shop is great! I love it! She gives me free food. Literally. I tried the beef curry, the chicken ball, the chips, the nuggets and if I choose something out of 10 I would choose 10 out of 10 for everything!
