Good food great delivery service

absolutely awful food the chicken balls were so so so overcooked the chicken inside had started to completely dry out and batter was brown turning black and the pork in the chow mein was dry and the salt and pepper chicken was cold and the chips were borderline not even cooked I've asked for a refund and the restaurant refused it according to just eat absolutely appalling to send food like that out and think it's acceptable

Ordered whilst the Chinese was shut which is very handy. We were obviously first on the list.

Normally have high reviews for JC and no issues, but tonight the chicken was really chewy rice was not great and the sweet and sour sauce tasted like vinegar, not one to complain either :(

Disappointing. We are new to the area and so took and chance and will not be a returning customer. Not how a chinese should be. Very chewy meat, very hard and quality of sauces were very disappointing. Almost £50 spent.

Lovely food at a reasonable price.

Duck was dry, noodle soup tasteless with undercooked veg. Chicken was alright.

Food arrived promptly and was piping hot but that's where the good news ends. Prawn balls overcooked in burnt batter, Chop Suey and Kung Po in what looked like a meat gravy rather than a sauce, that tasted super bland, foo yung was submerged in half a tray of water. All in all, really disappointing and we all left our food half eaten. Not happy as we had guests over 😒

Usually have no problem and always happy with the food from here, but tonight the food was cold on delivery had to phone the restaurant 4 times and the poor girl on the phone was trying to find out what she could. It turns out the delivery driver had 10 deliveries to do, this is food been delivered not a pair of trainers from Amazon. Very disappointed.

battered ribs very over cooked. Noodles very good. Rice spot on. special curry... not much sauce, meat was very tough and not a lot of it. Spring roll mainly onion. Overall... not worth the koney I'm afraid. sorry.

Food was late and just warm enough to eat, disappointed as usually early or on time and food piping hot, hope this is just a one off🤞 as food is normally very good.

I usually place large orders so fist time just getting an A for 1. The chicken balls were tough and dry as if they were cooked quite a while before collection. the rice was stodgy and the beef in Blackburn was tasteless, we use Jc Malaysian all the time but may have to re think. rubbish sorry

The restaurant has new owners and the food is now so poor.

Extremely late, app was telling me it was delivered, tried to call 5 times and went to voicemail everytime! Waited over an hour for food which isn’t acceptable especially on a Wednesday. Once the food arrived, chips were soggy, curry was in one lump, sweet and sour sauce also in one lump and noodles greasy.

Waited an hour. Said on the app it had arrived. Tried calling the restaurant and the phone was off. Sat here hungry

We have asked may times remove onions and you done a OK job at doing it, this time you added more then normal like it was some kind of kick, my wife is alergic you evil people, sadly wont be ordarying again sod risking our healths.

Apart from being late, the quality of the food was poor. Smoked chicken and salt & pepper chicken were very small portions. The latter was also tastless, & the curry sauce was luke warm. The king po chicken was bulked out with cheap ingredients, with very little chicken present. But to add insult to injury, we ordered prawn crackers for over £2 & there were only 9 in the bag. For something that costs pence to produce and was probably bought in, this was outrageous . Under no circumstances will I be using this establishment ever again. And I will recommend my friends to go elsewhere.

Food has gone downhill and portion is a lot smaller. Chips were terrible as well

We have been ordering for a while from them, as the food was really good. Lately, though, it seems like the chef has changed. The portions are smaller, the recipes are different. Like today, the beef in black bean sauce was missing the mushrooms, the vegetable mix was half of container and missing some of the vetables. We are dissapointed, as the quality of the food was a lot better.

The food was great but only half of it was delivered- the driver also banged on the window instead of using the doorbell to get our attention. We had to phone the restaurant to ask for the other half of the food to be delivered, which they agreed to, but if we had waited for all the food it would have been cold.

King Prawns and Wantons tasted like it had been left out for a while. Certainly didn't taste fresh. I usually order enough to eat the next day as well but I couldn't finish the one portion because of the taste. Also the Cantonese sauce was extremely watery. Shame because the shredded chicken was lovely.

Throughout the year I have ordered from this Takeaway, and it has always been nice. So we ordered today for new years eve. Massive mistake! They have used (I'm almost positive of) tomato Ketchup in all their sweet and sour sauces. Crispy chilli beef, tastes like Ketchup. So strong that its like I am literally dipping it in ketchup. Sweet and sour sauce for the chicken and prawn balls tastes like tomato Ketchup (it's even redder than normal, used to be a pinkish colour but now it's bright red). Really disappointed because we chose this restaurant because we thought it would be great again. Fancy adding tomato Ketchup to an expensive meal and not expecting a British person to know what that taste is. Won't order again.

Waist of time, never order from this place again, delivery should have been 1hr and 20 minutes, gave up by 8pm, 815 order arrives told them what they can do with it, used to be great Chinese takeaway but gone down hill,

Very over cooked chicken. We had honeychilli chicken it was like trying to cut shoe leather! Very disappointed!!

Had deep fried spare rib, pancake roll, chips and curry sauce the place doesn't look that clean but recommend by a friend but what a big mistake that was had sickness and diarrhea for a week after don't think the food was cooked properly from frozen would not recommend at all

Went to the shop to place our order,waited around 10 minutes for it to be cooked,it was very tasty and good sized portions a lovely birthday meal.

Just finished our meal which was delivered hot and promptly. Food was fresh, hot and delicious. Definitely will use again!

Spent 10min chatting with the guy about what he'd recommend. He advised the chicken rendang which he can make spicy. Came bland with 6 big uncooked aubergine pieces under a thin layer of a few chicken pieces and other veggies. Took it back to the shop and they said that's how they've made it for the last 20 yrs. Chicken balls were dry as were the prawns in the noodles. Tasted as if were cooked b4 the weekend. Not a very nice experience.

My family's favourite restaurant. The food we like, well cooked, well priced, never ever had a problem. 5 star for hygiene too! Lovely staff. Best in town!

Had a takeaway from here for the firs time in a long time and safe to say we were not disappointed. The food we ordered was cooked to perfection. Was delicious. If we wanted it delivered it would’ve been 1hr15mins, so we collected in 30 mins instead. We don’t have takeaway that often but we’d been out for lunch and was left disappointed so thought we’d treat ourselves to one, glad we did - nothing to complain about at all.

They said delivery would be 45mins,was here in 25 minutes piping hot,exactly what was ordered,Nice friendly delivery man.

Had an order from jc’s tonight who is our usual Chinese. Not had one for about a month but we are never disappointed. Tonight was the same. Absolutely amazing. It was fully enjoyed by the whole family. You’re our number 1 choice. Thankyou. X

Had a few Chinese meals from here over time and always enjoyed it but tonight thought I would treat myself to sweet and sour chicken ball and was left quite disappointed, it was more batter than chicken and one of my Husbands had no chicken at all, based on another review there's obviously been an ongoing problem with this, going on past experience I'd hope this is a blip as overall I'd highly recommend this take away so here's hoping the sweet and sour chicken returns to its former standard and sooner rather than later

I've had jc b4 and it was delicious the food was delicious this time the chowmein were very good the curry sauce was delicious just the chicken balls were chicken less and few of them are burnt but called up and they said next time I will get a free portion to make up for it so on that note only a 4 star out of 5 but well done chowmein are very nice

Use to be the best in Grantham!!! Waited over 3 hours for delivery tonight and got served cold food on delivery. Called them and they were totally unbothered about the food or their service and hung up the phone. Such a shame as a clever restaurant and delivery service would know when to say no with being overwhelmed with orders. Mouldy carrots and other vegetables just give this Chinese a one star now. 😔

I have for many years used this takeaway bit recently it has become terrible. Do not use if you want your takeaway delivered on time. Had to wait 2 hours then went to collect ourselves to find out they forgot our order. Finally collected the order which was terrible. Wil be using another Chinese from now on

Ordered food tonight at dinner time....nearly 3 hours later and we're still waiting!!!!! Absolutely rubbish.

Ordered via phone call at 6 15pm and was told 2 hours due to Xmas eve.... fair enough. 9 42pm still not here and phone has been where they are "on the phone" for last 90 minutes. Called probably 100 times I believe they have just put the phone off the hook and ignored ours and many more orders. What a shame as heard good things about this company and sounds like they are just ignoring their customers. I understand it is a tough night for orders but we planned ahead and have our food for tomorrow and boxing day but now thanks to being let down we are without a good take away and my kids have not eaten since lunch time and I have stupidly veen saying for the last 2 hours they would arrive any minute. WHAT A JOKE this company allows itself to ignore customers.

I Use to order from here a while back now but I had raw ribs and under cooked chicken balls so I will not order again . I did phone up I was offered for them take the rib back and offer me another one but to be honest it put me of the hole meal as it would anyone .

I have used this place a number of times for a nice takeaway but on this occasion I'm a bit disappointed. The curry was not as nice as usual and the chips overcooked. And although I did not complain about this. My prawn on toast was literally just toast. There was no paste on it at all. (I even picked it apart) on request from the shop for some new prawn toast I was shut down by being told its a very thin layer or paste and they have never had a complaint about it in 15 years. (Hard to believe, Sorry.)When I said "well I suppose in in the wrong then" the man on the phone couldn't say anything and in so silently said it's me. (Customer always right?) And after 10 mins of trying to get a new portion of toast I gave up and told him to forget it, to witch I got a reply of thank you and a dead phone line. Usually like this place but today you guys displayed everything that is wrong with a local takeaway nowadays. Awfully customer service!! Not impressed !

Ordered from Just Eat at 6:25pm and was told our food would be here at 7:25pm, however this changed once ordered to 8:05. Our delivery was then late so it ended up being 8:45 when we finally received our food. Very disappointed with this and should have been told the extent to the wait. Nevertheless the food was good just a shame about the food.

Ordered chinese it took 3 hours to come. I phoned to follow up on the order and was told I was the next delivery. 45 minutes later, I phoned again and the driver was "1 minute away". 15 minutes later the food arrived, what a joke. The food was fatty and chewy. Would not recommend to my worst enemy!!!

Using Just eat - they advertise delivery 60-70mins, once paid this changes to 100mins (order 18:29 = 20:10) that is nearly 50% longer!They actually delivered 20:31 = 121mins, or 2hours after order placed!!!!They also go parts of our order wrong.The fact their food was poor to average - I would never select / use this company again; astonishingly bad!!

Great value for money and 10% off when you order directly with their website. Would’ve given higher but the sweet and sour sauce wasn’t sour at all just all sweet.

Quick decision made for a New Year’s Day take away. We ordered the Malaysian chicken curry with potatoes, this means to them chicken 4 small bits, some whacky bits of carrots and the potatoes were chips and they have been deep fried already! The wonton soup was good but other than that, the Singapore noodles are tasteless and bland fried rice. Loads of takeaway places locally an certainly won’t be back! Not that they seem to care about so why would the care about service or reviews

Used many times with differing results The last time was absolutely awful ordered at 6.25 for 7.15 delivery by 7.50 told it would be 8.15 eventually turned up at 8.45 Why do they keep taking orders when they can’t cope because 2 people had to leave before the meal arrived Appalling service wont use again and will put this review on any review site I can Had to give one star because you can’t give none

Shocking. I ordered my food at 18:43, expected delivery time of 20:10. At 20:35 still no food. Once I managed to get through on the phone they stated that my food was still wait for delivery and would take about another 35 minutes. Over 2 hours for a takeaway🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️Shocking. No call or message to let me know it would take longer.
