Beijing Palace in South Kesteven

We always order from Beijing palace the food was amazing, but the last couple of times we’ve ordered food it’s been a let down, we wondered if they had changed the chef it’s very disappointing because we always looked forward to our Chinese

I am a very picky eater and I found the food thoughtless and happily re-order from these guys.

Not the best quality, sometimes it's great others it's not. I also had a bone in my veggie dish recently which wasn't nice. And parking can be difficult.

It's a takeaway... no atmosphere lol

First visit, very impressed. Saw a post on Facebook and decided to give them a try. Had the new salt & pepper box! Great selection and tasted so good. Friendly service from the reception staff member too. Will definitely return.

Hot and sour soup was simply the best and I've tasted a lot from all over. In fact this is probably the best chineese food I have had. Just wish it was in my home town.

Ordered food at half 4, restaurant opened at 5. Food arrived at 4.45 I thought was odd but accepted. Good completely cold. I paid for delivery. I rang them and said everything is cold and inedible please send replacement or refund. Told no can’t do that unless you bring all food back. I said I can’t as I don’t have car I paid for delivery. Basically told don’t care. Really bad attitude from staff refused to resend anything and basically laughed at me. Disgusting food and service would not order again.

Had to wait quite a while but really worth the wait. Pleased to get in the car as the waiting area was very cold!

Great take a way, we had the meal for 4, it was lovely. I would recommend this place to anyone

Spent alot of money with this restaurant over this year . On new years eve i made an order over phone to collect said will take 1 and half hours , i went to collect waiting another 30mins to be told they lost my order and to reorder which will take up to an hour . I had alot of people at home that where hungry i said i will wait another hour but with some sort of discount due to the fact i would of been waiting nearly 3hours . The owner is that much of a money grabber he wouldnt even for the major inconvenience. Will not be going here again.

First time takaway from here & it was absolutely delicious! It would have been 5 stars but there was only a very small amount of chicken in the chowmein, not enough really to call it chicken chowmein! This could have been a one off so will go back .

First visit to this takeaway. Ordered Monday evening at 27.20 hrs, food was ready for collection 20 minutes later. Excellent service. Ordered 3 main meals, 2 special rice dishes and 2 bags of prawn crackers. Beautiful food, piping hot and exactly as ordered. Can't fault the service or quality. Only slight issue is parking availability.

The food is hot, tasty and obviously fresh! Definitely get an extra portion of their moreish home made curry sauce . . . Just the right amount of spice. The Butterfly Prawns are crispy, juicy, crunchy, sweet nomness! This is excellent food. Oh and TIP OF THE DAY!!! Newsflash!! In terms of service you get what you give. If you treat people with kindness, consideration, empathy and understanding they will do handstands for you!! These guys are no different and have always been more than excellent for me and Mum.

Not happy with my order has they got wrong it ordered spare ribs and they said I didn't order them three times now they got it wrong even my other half heard me saying spare ribs

Placed an order on a busy Friday. Was told time and cost. £32.00 and about an hour delivery. Checked wallet and found we only had £30.00 and couldn’t find any change in the house. Phoned back and got them after around 10 attempts to get through. I asked if I could pay by a card as I was £2.00 cash short on an order which should have almost been ready at this point. Told no, and no food would be delivered either. The delivery guys always got good tips from us but we won’t be using them again. What an abysmal attitude in these difficult times.

We've only recently discovered this Chinese takeaway and we've already been there 5 times. The food is so delicious and is always ready quite quickly. We've tried almost all the other Chinese takeaways local to the area and this is by far the best.

This is the best Chinese I've ever had. The crispy chilli beef is amazing. We have been using this place for many years. Have tried others but not a patch on this one. Totally recommend it.

Ordered for the first time tonight, asked for the special curry to be hot and it certainly was and very tasty. Will definitely be ordering again

We ordered a bunch of food from here on a Saturday evening including Sweet & Sour Chicken, Chow Mein, Lemon Chicken amongst others. Waited 30 mins for collection, not speedy but not too long either. Food was still hot when we got it home. Nothing to complain about really, food tasted nice and there was no complaints. Not the best Chinese takeaway ever but food and service was reasonable, would probably prefer other places in the area however.

So nothing wrong with this Chinese restaurant but lacks a reason to be at the top of your list when wanting a Chinese meal at home.

I placed an order over the phone around 17:30 and arranged for a 19:30 delivery. 8 o clock came and still no food with 8 of us around the table waiting. So I rang up to find out how much longer it was going to be only to be told they had just started cooking it. Not impressed with this I asked whether we could have a 10% discount because of the delay. No was the blunt answer. I then asked for a updated delivery time which they couldn't give me. We decided to cancel the order in the end and had a fantastic chinese from jade garden in werrington. My family and I have been using beijing palace since it opened and have spent thousands of pounds. We will never use them again.

I ordered Crispy Aromatic Duck served with Pancakes, Spring Onion, Cucumber & Hoi Sin Sauce......I was totally disappointed after reading a couple of the reviews. My Duck was definitely NOT crispy, fatty is the word I would use, no part of the skin was crispy which as the name suggests is the main part of this meal, when I looked at the spring onion (mine looked like onion) and cucumber served with this, I could see it was going to be awful, they were very dry looking and tasted that way, they looked like they had been left out somewhere and not covered as it is now May I feel that there is no reason why this couldn't of been fresh produce. I was unable to eat what I had ordered and had to cook myself something else. All the food my friend and I had ordered was very greasy we were both left with a greasy taste in our mouths instead of the taste of a good meal. They would only take cash as payment, no credit cards or debit cards taken.

Nice local Chinese, prices are about average. Free prawn crackers for the regulars. Worth a punt.

I have been using Beijing now for over a year and this is the best East Asian food I have found in the area and is always consistent in the quality and taste. The customer and delivery service is always friendly and efficient. On a busy night I waited over an hour for delivery however is well worth the wait. Well done to the team. 😆

Lovely Chinese that delivers, great food and large portions at a good price. when ordered was told 60 minutes waiting time! arrived in 50 minutes.

Just used the Beijing Palace for the first time for a take away. Telephoned just after opening on a Friday evening, lady taking the order was very helpful and within half an hour we had the food at our door. I must admit this was one of the best Chinese meals I've had in a very long time. The wife agreed too and she's not the easiest to impress either. Price was reasonable and as the order was over £14 delivery was free. Definately going to use this restaurant again.

On new years day i ordered a takeaway for 3 of us. I rang at just after 5pm and ordered our food within 45 minutes my daughter collected it, when she arrived back the food ordered was nice and hot and good size portions. It was very tasty and we would order again.

Actually surprised this take-away isn't already on TripAdvisor?! Ordered a meal from this take-away tonight. Have ordered from this take away many times before and food has been excellent. Tonight one of the dishes I ordered was the usual Singapore Vermicelli. When it arrived I tried it and it was grainy and gritty... Phoned them to tell them this, I was offered a replacement, but I was not interested, as I did not have faith in a replacement (it had cost £4.90 by the way) - Called again to mention I had popped over to another Chinese take-away for noodles and they didn't care, explained that I was offered a replacement and it was difficult to offer a refund on a product that I had received... despite it being cooked with sand! Clearly they need to gen up on the Sales of Goods Act... Outraged by this lack of care about what customers mean to this business, I went round there with the shoddy vermicelli, banged it down on the counter and explained that it was unacceptable, absolutely unacceptable, walked out with the manageress sarcastically crying "Byeeeeeeeee!!!!" Tell you what love... that's what you'll be saying to your business if you carry on with that attitude! I know it's just a £4.90 pot of noodles, but it's the principle and this is an awful example of customer service... never again. A simple £5 refund and all what have been sorted... Shame, they're Crispy Chilli Beef was rather nice...
