Order food 1836 told us hour for delivery hour 30 minutes later after try to ring 99 time was told that they not start cook yet shit service

Stay clear bad customer service they tell you delivery up to an hour and it takes 2 hours staff all sound fed up the place should be called the titanic. Will never order from there again.

Very average . Not a patch on wings Cantonese takeaway . A bit over prised for very average food. Delivery time was ok thou.

Ordered a £42.20 Chinese 50 mins later we call up to see where it is to be told it’s been cooked waiting to be sent out 20 mins later it arrives we dish the food up and it’s cold ring up to complain for the receptionist to get the manager involved not to offer to send a new order after us complaint further we get offered a 10% discount on the next door will defo not be ordering from there again which is such a shame as this is the only Chinese place we ever use

Best Chinese I've had here always nice and hot delivered with a smile told to enjoy! Which I sure do haha 😄 😆 I cannot recommend the special curry more it's beautiful and the salt and pepper chips spiced so well generous my go to Chinese for sure 😋

Tasty and fresh. We had our usual beef with mushrooms and yung chow fried rice, plus pancake roll and spare ribs. All good. The only nit pick is the pancake roll was very oily but it was fine. Price for meal was about right (around £40 for 2 starters and 2 mains with special rice). Here's a question for you though. Just out of interest. Why do Chinese takeaways insist on cash? All over the country I come across cash-only Chinese takeaways. Is it a cultural thing? Didn't matter at the Emperors because there is a free ATM right outside their door.

We hadn’t been here in a while and were pleasantly surprised. The crispy chilli beef and chicken chow mein were delicious. We will be back for more next time, thanks!

Food is normally brilliant, but tonight has been disappointing. Chicken Satay = cold - Chips = warm - service = slow.

The food has gone downhill. This used to be our go to. You couldn't fault it. Our last 2 meals have been poor. The chips are refried, the beef certainly not the best cut, felt grissly and slimy, the chicken balls have shrunk and the batter didn't taste the freshest. We won't be going back. They didn't offer anything so had to ask for 10%off next meal but we won't be using it.

This place is imo the best chinese takeaway in Grantham. The food is amazing and well priced. The blonde girl (I don't know her name) is really lovely who works behind the counter. Give this place a try if you want a good takeaway it won't disappoint you

Ordered from here tonight what an absolute joke ! Ordered butterfly King prawns got given frozen tempura prawns and I have ordered before and that wasn't what I got and Ordered kung po chicken and thats not kung po chicken either phone them and I was just lied to and insulted in all honesty told her that's not what I got last time I Ordered and she said yes it was unbelievable nothing tasted fresh pre cooked and frozen . Go to Iceland and you'll be able to cook there menu

I had a takeaway from here the other day and I meant to write a review because the food was so amazing. I have tried so many Chinese takeaway’s in Grantham and this is by far the best. Hidden gem.

July 2023 - Have dropped to 4 stars as the last couple of meals haven't been up to the usual standards, including missed ingredients from chow mein, and dishes that didn't seem as fresh as usual. Prices have gone up significantly. Still one of the best in town though, in spite of that.

I’ve tried numerous Chinese takeaways in Grantham but this one hits the jackpot and now I’m a regular customer they always provide adequate service and the food is just absolutely delicious. WOULD RECOMMEND!!!!!

The food and delivery service has always been first class. In my opinion, as a long standing resident of Grantham for the past 27 years, this is the best Chinese I have had. No matter what meal I order the quality is always 5 star.

We have always used emperors kitchen, food good and delivery is quick. Just placed a order I live 5 mins away and get charged for deliver!! You have just put your food prices up which is fair enough. But then charge 2 pound delivery on top. Your going to make a bomb. A Little greedy.

Awful , sticky rice, soggy chicken balls (think reheated) and don't even know what the spare ribs in batter were meant to be ! Never again

Visiting the area and first time using this place. The reviews read good, did have a couple of bad/so so reviews, but you can't please every one. Anyway. Got there 5 mins early and they said was still preparing my order. My order came out on time and had a 10min drive home. Food was piping hot. And the Spare ribs with silt chilli was gorgeous. Yes, when next in area l would use this place again .

I use emperors kitchen all the time, i recomend it to everyone because ive always enjoyed the food from there, however last night we ordered a delivery that came quicker than the estimated time and it was awful the peking duck was really dry & cold, the spare ribs were terrible, the chicken balls were re heated, in fact everything was awful. Will be giving them a rest for a while. 😔

Use this place regularly, always have home delivery. Very reliable, good quality and reasonable. From ordering it only takes 30 / 45 minutes to arrive.

We had a meal yesterday...it was a ghastly, colourless, bland horror of boiled Chicken. Both had really bad tummy next day but cannot state, 100%, were this cane from... Please avoid...IOHO

Our 2nd time ordering from here and wasn’t disappointed. Ordering for 6 people, we ordered sweet and sour Hong Kong pork, duck in plum sauce, lemon chicken, house curry, seaweed, chips, boiled and fried rice. It was all delicious, Particularly the lemon chicken. Loved the sauce. Order was ready on time for collection. Only take cash though which could cause a problem if you don’t realise.

We have experienced some terrible Chinese takeaways in Grantham since moving here around a year ago. This one, however, has always been lovely! We’ve had around 4-5 orders from here and we haven’t been disappointed either time. The delivery is always prompt and the food it fab! We won’t be risking a different Chinese takeaway now we have found this one!

As a takeaway, the food here is blatantly not going to rock your world, however, it is perhaps the best Chinese takeaway I have had. Tasted good and it was prepared quickly.

Food is ok from here although orders are not always accurate. Food is not cheap either and if having food delivered, the wait is often an hour plus.

So you're sat on your own in the Chinese waiting for your food to be ready. The girl behind the desk who took your order in the first place signals that your food is ready and hands you the bag. You get home, walk through the door... the phone rings, and the snottiest, rudest voice screams down the phone "You took the wrong order. I said the order was for Charlie and you took it". Now last time I checked my name wasn't Charlie (not even close in fact) and it wasn't the name I gave when I walked into the place to collect the order. The response to me saying that was "how do you expect me to remember your name?"... again in one of the rudest tones I've been spoken to. There was a good 5 minutes of being told it was my fault, and the girl refusing she'd made a mistake. Why on earth would I take someone else's order, the order had chips with it for pity sick. Chips with a Chinese? Not in my house (sorry Charlie - whoever you are - but that's just weird). So after spending another 10 minutes driving back into town to collect it, one of the other patrons (who I can only assume the other order was for) said to me that the order had been sat on the floor for the last 20 minutes. The girl who'd given me the wrong order kept her back to me and walked into the kitchen without making eye contact... So no apology offered. Who I can only assume was the manager was on the desk, then handed me my order. I refused it and demanded my money back. Now. Let me clarify; the manager was nice enough and gave me a refund and the food. She apologised, to which I told her it's not her fault, it was the English girl on the desk that really needed a lesson in customer service. So, that issue out of the way and sorted, back home again after another 10 minutes in the car. On to the actual food; the starters were ok, acceptable by takeaway standards. We did think for a minute they'd forgotten the rice and given us another seafood dish, but apparently their idea of special fried rice is to dump leftovers on top of egg fried rice (see pic). To be fair, we'd mostly lost our appetites by this point and pinky promised we'd never order a Chinese again (until next time - when it definitely will not be from here). All in all, the food was what you'd expect. Based purely on the food 3*. But this review has to be a 1* because of the nasty, rude and obnoxious girl that really needs to work on her customer service ability (or lack thereof).

On a cold night in front of a log we chose a takeaway - a big mistake. We have used this eatery before for a takeaway, but never again. The spare ribs consisted of nothing but fat and very little meat. My partner's pork satay was watery and little meat, but lots of fat. With a price tag of £25, most of the meal went to the dog or bin. Avoid

Cracking Chinese Takeaway .. I drive across town to get my food

EK is a damm decent chinese in Grantham. I drive across town passing many other chinese resturants to get to it. They dont take cards but there is a cash machine outside.

Picked up a menu on our way home from a night out last night, menu reads well.Made a telephone order tonight, was informed meal would be with us within 40 minutes, an hour after placing the order I telephoned to enquire where our meal was, was informed the wrong address had been taken down along with the wrong telephone number!! was assured a fresh meal would be cooked and with us within 15 minutes, this it was, however I can only describe the meal as disgusting, very little meat a bucket of noodles with no sauce, I phoned to complain, the same girl that took our order said she would have our meal picked up and money refunded, this I agreed to, she then passed me onto somebody else who informed me the wrong address had been taken down, we however had not answered the phone when they rung, WRONG nobody rung! she then informed me that the house special chow mein had sauce but not the other, when explained this was what was ordered it was agreed the dish would be replaced, by the time this arrived we were half way through our mediocre tasteless meal so had lost interest.My advice is do not use this takeaway, there are far better is townI work for a one of the largest companies in town and will be advising my colleagues to avoid at all costs

It was late and i wanted something hot, cheap & filling and i wasn't disappointed. The dinner boxes are a great meal for 1 for £5 so i always get one of them.Will go again.

I have had about 5 takeaways from here, as i hate using the Brewers Fayre at the local Premier Inn.. Pork Fried Rice, Curry Sauce, Hot and Sour Soup..Always constantly good.

The food was hot, quick, filling and not too expensive. I would go again and i would also recommend to other people looking for easy take away Chinese food.

Gave this place a try after a couple of friends said how wonderful it was....I`ll never trust their judgement again!!!!As I sit here typing and buzzing in the afterglow of a surfeit of MSG, I can only reflect on what was a total let-down.We wanted a meal delivered and being our first time, rather than visit, we visited their website and printed a menu ......and in the time honoured tradition, made a telephone order by number.Around 30 - 45 minutes was the estimate..in reality, 75 minutes later, the food arrived and only 2 of the 5 dishes we had ordered were correct.........Ho Hum!!!! Sue got on the phone and asked why she didn`t have her salt & chilli tofu ....turns out, they had a new menu with a new numbering system and hadn`t bothered to update the website.She was assured that her tofu dish would be delivered.........an hour and a half later, I`m not holding my breath.Otherwise, from a food point of view, weak bordering on small town competent and not inexpensive........Second chance? I don`t think so.

Always good food here. The chicken foo yung is fantastic as are the chips. It's a regular Chinese for us. We twice have had a mixed up order but it was quickly rectified - once I received a foo yung without any chicken. The takeaway swiftly sent a new chicken foo yung by taxi free of charge and it arrived in 10 minutes. Can not fault the food. Definitely worth trying.
