Ken Chinese Restaurant and Takeaway in South Kesteven

Popped in for a takeaway when visiting the area, friendly staff, food was great and didn't take long to arrive. Would highly recommend a visit.

I struggle to find a Chinese take away that offers gluten free hot and sour soup but Ken’s does and its excellent!! Will be going back to try the rest of the menu based on the soup being so good!

Wow just wow! We stopped using kens 2 years ago we had a couple of bad takeaways from there which was really sad as I'd used it for over 10 years Tonight we gave it a go Top notch Fresh Tasty 100% back to kens from now on! Fast delivery as well

We’ve been in the area for 18 months now and after trying a number of Chinese takeaways, we’ve finally ‘found’ Ken’s. Only the 2 takeaways so far, but both were memorable, tasty and excellent service too 👍

We always have a takeaway,as no placrs deliver to us as we are too rural,although only 8 miles away from grantham,but Kens is always hot and freshly cooked,so still hot when we get home with it in our freezer/hot bag.We have never had a bad order from them,consistently good on an almost weekly basis,thank you to everyone at Kens

First order from Ken’s as have only been in Grantham for the week. Delivery was here in less than half an hour, on a Friday evening. The food was hot, fresh and delicious with no stinginess on the meat! I would order from here everyday if it meant I wouldn’t become fat and bankrupt. We've ordered from Kens for over 2 years, and delivery and food has been great. But I have to say today has disappointed me big time. From September Fridays to Sundays you can't pay on card anymore it has to be cash!! We've always paid by card. Then delivery was an hour which turned into 1hr 30 mins. Won't be ordering again which is a shame

First time I’ve ordered a Chinese from the area, and honestly the best food I’ve ever eaten, I definitely recommend the spring rolls!

Order meal paid £65 for a delivery no chicken curry want to charge more for it they sent curry sauce the lady even read back my order thanks no dinner

My first order from Ken's & it was excellent. Food was really first class. Plenty of it & great value for money. Really pleasant member of staff took my order and the food was ready in literally 10 minutes. Very happy and will definitely be back.

I just hady first takeaway from here and must say it was very good and best in town for me. I shall definitely be back.

!AVIOD! Have been ordering from kens for years tonight we ordered and spend just over 30 quid for two we always order the same things and price has gone right up and there making it on delivery, the amount of meat you now get in something like duck in black bean sauce is about 4 peaces the chicken balls are like the sandwich slice chicken you can buy in aldi all the sauces acts really goare very watery I phone and was told the price is the same but not as much meat not enough and its not enough for one person and then after saying I'm not happy with the meal I was told I hope you enjoy your meal bye will never oder from here again ...........AVOID..........

Great food and super fast delivery, 1 item I asked for was not added to my order, but these things happen and it wouldn't stop me from using them again as the food was excellent.

Yeah it's ok, I had prawn curry and asked for fried rice, instead I got boiled rice with added fried egg ...odd Doesn't take much effort to actually fry rice .

I have been using Kens now for a few months. The food I'd absolutely beautiful so tasty and well cooked. Lovely staff and quick delivery. Highly recommended

Staying at a local hotel for a few days, the food was a bit monotonous so decided to have a take away. Kens popped up on Google search so gave it a try. I have to say it was one of the best we have had for a long time. The owner was polite and prompt service throughout.

OMG, don't know what more I can say! I had set meal B1. Chicken balls were more like half a chicken in batter and burnt my mouth on them after collection and a 10 min walk. Very succulent and tasty. Egg fried rice was fluffy and dry, not greasy like many Chinese takeaways. Beef in black bean! Loaded with beef which was very tender. Also very tasty and hot(not too spicy, heat hot). If it wasn't 50 miles away I would go there most nights.

Great food, really friendly phone and delivery staff and the biggest bonus is I never wake up thirsty in the middle of the night! Only down side is I always eat too much!!

Had a takeaway last night (26th Aug) for x4 people at a cost of £60 delivered to Wagtail Caravan Park. Unfortunately we were very disappointed to find two of the the dishes were undercooked - the chicken in the chicken curry and pork balls. Rang to complain but received no call back to discuss further, and as we had already paid in cash at collection, no offer of any refunds! Obviously put us all off eating the rest of the meals, so very disappointing and won't be using them again.

Ordered a Chinese meal tonight and it was delicious delivery was quick food piping hot will definitely be ordering from there again . Highly recommend

Order Chinese from ken's all the time, never any problems until tonight. Food was on time so can't complain there, however when we opened our food that was a different story. Pork balls were rock solid inside aswell as out, crispy pancake rolls smelt sour in the middle, rice arrived cold and the chips had been redipped,also cold. Called them back explained all of the above, was offered a 3rd of what I'd paid for the meal, couldn't believe it, never will be ordering anything from them again. Really disappointed.

1 Been a customer for over 10 years Tonight it was awful! Over cooked couldn't eat it We did complain we got a part refund My husband said he's never eating there again!

Great tasty food! Takes a bit of time to arrive but really yummy food!

Very disappointed. The service has gone down hill with Kens. The last two deliveries have been very late, 1 was over 2 hours and after ringing numerous times they told us it would be 20 mins and it was another hour. When it did turn up we were told "wery solly". The second was late but the driver arrived and he explained that they have no drivers and its manic! At least he was honest. We are regular customers and been told that they won't deliver tonight unless we spend more despite being charged £6.00 delivery, on a over £20 order. WHERE HAS YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE GONE?

My family ordered food tonight and spent £49 after an hour and a half we rung up to see where our food was to be told it might be with us in 20 depending on when their driver will be back. We have already paid for the food unfortunately so have to keep waiting. Was not impressed with the customer service at all.

Starters were like something you’d buy from Iceland. Crispy beef had no sign of beef and the chicken curry was almost inedible. When we tried to order desert they said we couldn’t as we left these 2 dishes.... only £18pp though.... can’t imagine anyone going twice.

Visited here with my partner and 9year old son last night. Had the set happy meal for two persons and went home full & happy! Very good value and tasty. Such lovely friendly staff also - the delivery driver & young red haired waitress were so helpful & made our visit very pleasant. Puts restaurants and the customer service in Nottingham where we are from to shame as just don’t get the friendly ness there. Nothing no trouble for them

We go there on a regular basis, the food is always excellent, the all you can eat buffet is good value for money. The staff are all freindly and go out of their way to help. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

When on a Monday for buffet but made fresh to order the food was great hot and sour soup to die for curry sweet and sour spot on and at £14.95 a head a bargain

Well i've decided to write a review after many years of being their customer of Ken's! As i quote "after many years" always had a excellent experience either eating in or just a takeaway.

Delicious freshly cooked food, very good value buffet, clean, and a pleasant waitress. Small waiting time for the freshly cook food was very impressive. Thank you Kens, I'm now food drunk

Ken is my go to Chinese takeaway in Grantham. The food is always good quality and at a ready price. Haven’t tried the all you can eat Buffett yet but always looks good when waiting for my takeaway.

Really good food reasonably priced

Simply good food which always stays consistent with its quality. Never had a bad meal and we use regularly. The staff are always pleasant which adds to the experience.

Ordered a take away from here , waited 90 minutes! 🤬and was charged £5 delivery!!!! Food was nice but only warm. Very disappointing 😕

Ended up at this restaurant as all local pubs booked up and had the best Chinese meal we have had in a while. Thoroughly recommend it and now I learn a lot of friends do the same!

We were recommended to try take away from here by a friend, after being loyal to another establishment for years, and have never looked back. The food is always hot and delicious, and it is well worth trying some of the less standard dishes. I can recommend the salt and pepper broccoli which now always makes it onto our order list. Delivery can take awhile on a Saturday night but that is standard for any take away at that time.

Do not get take away here!! This was the dryest Chinese in my life! Go elsewhere if u don't want to be disappointed. All me and my Girlfriend wanted was a nice Chinese at the end of a long working day and this just made it worse! If I could give half a star I would! So angry about this deal Chinese waste of money

What a place! We stumbled across this place by accident having wanting to go out for a meal for my partners brothers birthday! It was a Friday evening, they live in Mansfield Woodhouse but were in Sleaford visiting family. We wanted a chinese buffet and with Sleaford lacking in that type of food we did a quick Google and came across Ken's in Grantham. After a quick phone call to them and a trip over there we arrived. It was a small restaurant having about 6 tables. We ordered from the buffet menu and the food came quickly and the quality was top notch, possible the best we have ever eaten. We have been back twice since with different family members and the quality is always good. We will be back :)

What can i say. Dont let the small size fool you...this is a FANTASTIC place to eat and ticks all the boxes for a great culinary experience 😊😊. Excellent food, friendly and efficient staff and a cozy environment in this clean and tidy gem of a restaurant. Took our son there for the first time yesterday and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and indeed the overall experience when we chose to dine from the all you can eat buffet (£15.99 pp) ... scrumptious 😁😁 Will definately be calling again......Highly recommended A++

Normally Ken’s is very good, but disappointed tonight when my order wasn’t right

On the 4/12/17 we booked a table for six due to the reviews on here as all looked promising. Upon getting to the restaurant it was a little quaint place and was nice. Two lovely members of staff there. We all sat down and we asked for a bottle of Prosecco to be told they don’t serve it. I said no problem can we have Champagne. I was told they don’t sell Champagne either. They also don’t sell cider.

When you walk in you can tell the place isn't big in size however when you taste the food you know you have the right place! This Chinese takeaway got me to like Chinese food again! Honestly it is amazing. They are usually quite busy so the waiting time can be a little long but all good things come in time. Generally the best Chinese place I have ever been too. I have never actually stayed for a meal but I have wanted to for a while and I can't wait to find an occasion to eat there for. The staff are lovely and approachable, have a lovely selection of food and drink too! I will definitely be going again

Have visited this restaurant a few times now and the food is always of excellent quality ,it is a friendly place with a full menu, an all you can eat menu (which is all cooked to order) and best of all they deliver which is great for me as I live in a small village 6 miles out of Grantham. The waitress and Lady who always takes my order on the telephone is so polite and a pleasure to speak to, the delivery driver Steven is always prompt and courteous and as I mentioned the food is amazing, I have never really liked satay chicken but if you order the satay chicken skewers you will not be dissapointed, Cannot believe this is the first review for this gem of a place. well dona all at Kens
