What a fab Chinese restaurant. A great pit stop for us while at Burghley horse trials… and what a lovely team to look after us, Easy to park, comfy seats and honestly delicious food. We’ll be back. Thank you.

Lovely food and excellent service 👌

Firstly what great customer service, called as partner has a gluten allergy so no choice but to call and enquire. Spoke to gentleman who spent 5 mins discussing what options were available to her. Was so helpful and undestanding, explained what was not suitable and took his time with us. Even made a dish that wasn't on the menu. The food was also delicious Very happy with this place and would highly recommend

No hesitation in awarding 5 stars. The food was well prepared and tasty - not doused in salt to boost taste. It was my first visit, but the staff treated us like old friends. Very good service and highly recommended.

Hong Kong has (was) the best Chinese in the area for a long time. Despite some questionable food inspection results, you would never have a bad meal and would probably have an excellent one. Recently, the meals have been more inconsistent, never bad, but not quite their usual. The most recent order of half cooked chips and soggy battered beef is poor and clearly things are not improving. Even if my last order was free, I wouldn't eat it. The manager was polite, after speaking to the gatekeeper, he offered a refund/replacement, but misses the point.

Despite Hong Kong being the go-to Chinese for a decade, the previous review out me off, having not been for over a year. Despite reservations, the meal was excellent, better than usual. My only small criticism is the almost meagre amount of Satay sauce. Update July 2024 I've had a few takeaways since the previous review. Despite varying from good to excellent, the food was ways cooked well, but the latest, is probably the last order, being served partially cooked chips and soggy battered beef. Past it's prime.

This place was superb on all levels, from decor to the friendly, efficient service and not least the quality of the food which was delicious. One of the best Chinese restaurants we have been in for a very long time.

Playing golf and staying at Greetham Valley. Hosted a party of 10 and we visited based on trip advisor. Great service and food was spot on.

ordered coat a lot of money and then £18 delivery the food took 40 minutes to turn up and then the order was wrong and missing items and then took 45 minutes to get a replacement dinner the food was edible but no flavour with a beef curry more like mushroom and onion curry

Fabulous meal out tonight as a couple. Second time we’ve visited in the last few weeks because we just love the food and service . The staff are so friendly and attentive, the food is delicious and piping hot and there’s a great atmosphere each time we come. Will be back again soon! Thank you for looking after us!

Very disappointed that Lychee's were not on the menu. I have never been to a Chinese restaurant that did not have Lychee's on the menu.

From the food to the staff, everything was beyond my expectations. The perfect restaurant for a nice evening meal!

Very greasy food. Everything deep fried is dripping in oil as if oil wasn't hot enough. The duck was acceptable, but I could taste it wasn't freshly made. The beef in the curry dish was tough, some pieces were burnt on one side. The restaurant smells old and is very dusty.

Very happy with the food quality and portion size. We preordered using the app and the food was delivered hot and on time!

Decent enough food but poor service. Spring rolls were missing from my take away. I returned to explain this, and the server was unfriendly and unapologetic, despite the inconvenience. After some discussion some more spring rolls were prepared. Unfortunately when my family tried to eat them, they were still frozen in the middle. At this point we gave up, whilst I finished my meal before it got any colder.

Way too expensive, get the same food 3 minutes away at wok this way and save yourself 33%

I must congratulate Ken and his team for a superb meal last Sunday evening, I came with some friends to thank them for all their support this year we had a fantastic evening the food was delicious and enjoyed by all ! Also Lillian makes a mean Gaelic coffee.

I visited the restaurant a couple of days ago with a few friends. The bathroom is a little outdated but the food and rest of the decor is to die for. I ordered the garlic salt and pepper chicken and ribs - honestly some of the best I’ve had in a long long time! The Hong Kong House rice is also a must try. Everything was well seasoned and fresh. Will definitely be back again!

The take away food is the same high quality as the restaurant food. We never go anywhere else.

Chow mein has way too many massive onions

I ordered Chicken Fried Noodles, Egg Fried Rice, Garlic Salt + Pepper Ribs and Hot + Sour Soup. Portions were generous, the ribs were huge and so succulent as well as tasting delicious! The Hot and Sour Soup was really tasty with just the right amount of zing. The Chicken Noodles and Egg Fried Rice equally so. The order was processed online very easily and efficiently and was delivered within half an hour, the driver friendly and professional. Brilliant service, excellent food! Try them you won’t be disappointed! Thank you for a lovely meal! 😀

The manager/owner was friendly and the food particularly squid with soy sauce was impeccable, would recommend to anyone to try, it’s perfect and really pretty!

A great meal, my first but not last visit.

Delicious food, happy atmosphere and good service. 5 star to this excellent chinese restaurant in the middle of Stamford. My son and I ordered roast pork, rainbow mixed vegetables and egg fried rice, with chinese tea for drink. It was 6pm and the restaurant was buzzing with smiles and laughter. The interior deco was nice. The staff politely ttook our order and the food came out to us in about 20 minutes. Clean toilet too, which is always a good sign. We had a very delicious lunch in Lincoln that day (polish food), but honestly Hong Kong in Stamford is better! The bill came out to £34, which is reasonable.

Had a great meal at Hong Kong Restaurant Stamford. The place is clean, fantastic decor inside, it was busy but even with seven of us it was not cramped. The food was great and the service was quick and very good, with all staff friendly taking the time to interact with us. Would recommend and go again.

I thought food was rubbish and surprised it has such great ratings. I hate to write a bad review as hate to harm a business. We got a takeaway delivered and was just under £50 but worth £20. The Crispy Beef was chewy and as dry as a bone. The rice was average at a push. The chow meins was hunt the chicken and hard to see which one was special and which one was just chicken. Luckily I don’t live at Stamford but if I did wouldn’t come again. Sorry guys but I had to give a fair review

Really poor service on a Saturday night from the moment we entered. The food can only be described as takeaway quality, in fact the other side of the toilets is the takeaway entrance. Average service, very poor pescetarian or vegetarian menu. Alacarte orices for take away food. Every dish was greesey and bland. We opted for black bean prawn, prawn noodles and farlic brocoli. Prawn toast option co trained chicken go figure that. Rude staff that took away drinks that were not finished just because you asked for more drinks. Best advice go out and have a few drinks then order a takeaway and save 60-70 pounds for a party of three. Would never return and probably the worst meal I have ever had in Stamford.

Absolutely amazing, and the staff are so welcoming. Enjoyed the meal which tasted out of this world. Highly recommended and definitely going again.

My partner loves this place but she orders the same dish every time which never disappoints her , myself being a vegetarian have tried so many dishes and yet to find one that I like and seems to be pretty tasteless and watery, so that’s why I only gave in a 3 out off 5 , can’t say I will revisit anymore as I have now tried on 4 occasions,

Superb food and amazingly friendly staff well worth a visit

Best Chinese meal we’ve had for a long time. My wife and I shared a mixed starter, then a couple of mains and a veg dish. We were going to order two portions of rice, but the waitress advised us that one would be enough. It was. The portions are very generous, and we couldn’t finish it all. Excellent food, and really good service too. A thoroughly enjoyable meal.

The restaurant have a large menu offering plenty of choices. I have tried both eating at the restaurant and their take out multiple times and their food never disappoints. The atmosphere in the restaurant is excellent. The decorations sets a very authentic Chinese restaurant experience. It is definitely my go to Chinese Restaurant in the area.

Probably the worst takeaway I’ve ever had… food was awful, dry and bland. Sauces were like jelly. We did phone and got refunded a few of the dishes but as we continued to try the other dishes they were also awful… won’t order again

It's a nice ride out and the food is fabulous. Switch to 2021. I don’t know what went wrong, but the last visit we made to this place for takeaway was disastrous. Package was placed on its side so all the oil(everything very oily)leaked into the packaging. I DON’T recommend. I won’t be going here ever again. Frustrated and angry.

Absolutely vile. The salt and pepper crispy beef was drenched in oil and some kind of white outer casing masquerading as the batter. Small black specks in this casing(beef?). Smelled absolutely putrid The chow mein and fried rice were as flavoursome as water. Based on the prices they charge and the dangerous smell of the food, u would avoid this place unless you would like a break in hospital for a few days

I needed to change my review. Take away orders are now online only. There's a delivery charge (which is fine if mentioned prior to paying) and a service charge. A Service charge! 😳 Down from 5* to 3*.

Disappointingly bland take away. Crispy beef contained no beef, just crispy- and drowned in sugary, tangy sauce. The Satay chicken had never seen a peanut, the Chinese pork was flavourless. They offer a 20% discount on orders over £30 then include a £3 delivery fee and 50p service charge. So it was really closer to 10%. There are much better options locally so I won’t be going back. I called to say they had sent the wrong dish and was told that they hadn’t. I was told that I should have ordered satay skewers if I wanted a peanut sauce. Either way, it didn’t taste of much. Couldn’t detect herbs or spices anywhere in the order, just salty and tasteless. They get 2 stars for the polite lady who answered the phone and the prompt delivery. The kids enjoyed the prawn crackers at £2.30 a portion and that’s it.
