Nice Noodle in Newcastle upon Tyne

It’s the second time I’ve had a take away from here , I really enjoyed the food I had beef and and Hong Kong style chicken, it’s a bit out of my way but worth the drive PS the house special chow mein is so so

This is the first time I have tried this take away. Very good food. Will order again. It is just a take away and only cash.

Have used this a few times over the years, gradually went downhill. The lady who takes the orders on the phone isn't too good with her English so that can cause some confusion when booking which has happened. WIth one dish we ordered she mixed it up, started arguing saying we ordered the dish she gave us and didn't apologize. The food quality has also got worse over time which is a shame as it used to be quite nice and reliable. Don't think I'll be going back again.

Absolutely disgusting food. Waited longer for delivery than should have. The rice is so hard my boyfriend nearly choke on it. Absolutely freezing cold. Missing items from orders and when rang the restaurant they gave myself nothing but attitude, when spoke to them they didn’t understand English. Shouldn’t be allowed to serve food to the public.

Best Chinese in Gosforth! And probably one of the best takeaways I’ve had in a while. The website is really easy to use, the staff were lovely, the shop was really clean and the food was amazing. Glad i ordered and didn’t listen to the other reviews!

Beef ho fun was a disappointment to be honest. Would not recommend this dish.

I ordered from here last night for my Saturday night takeaway and it was lovely. I requested no veg on my salt and pepper dishes and them to be extra spicy and they were lovely couldn’t fault them. Everything arrived very quick and also hot so no complaints and the price was also very reasonable. So thank you. Will definitely try again. Salt and pepper shredded chicken was lovely!

Twice I have been and twice order wrong

Unfortunately there was a long dark hair in our takeaway tonight. This is the second time in 12 months that this has occurred. Staff clearly not wearing hairnets. Will not be ordering anymore food from here.

Very expensive! And so very salty. The food was very hot when it arrived but every single dish felt overpowered with salt.

Really lovely fresh, hot food. We've recently moved to the area and we have already found our favourite Chinese take away. Love the choice of thin/thick noodles. Plenty of meat but best of all its not drowning in oil. Tastes healthy. Really friendly delivery driver too.

Lovely food and people. Great to have this place just around the corner. The food is often ready to collect within 15 - 20 minutes - very fast service

Treat drivers and customers with total disrespect one customer stood outside shop to tell people coming to shop to stay away he ordered spare ribs in his order and they were not there when delivered . Shop refused to refund him for his loss saying he hadn’t ordered them even though it was clearly on the ticket . Lady owner is only interested in your money not your complaints. Even goes as far as keeping he drivers tips and not paying the full delivery charge paid by customers of just eat Uber etc /to the drivers / not a qualified chef cooking the food as refuse to pay the wage for a qualified chef prefer to try cook it themselves resulting n low quality food . Give this place a wide birth

This takeaway has just been in the evening chronicle with another 11 in the northeast and got a food hygiene of 1 so don't go there no more

I can't tell you how disappointed I was with my meal.The prawn crackers tasted sour & were unpalatable.The sauce in my Satay meal was extremely thick,dark + strong.In fact I binned the whole meal as it was starting to make me feel sick.£14 down the drain.Never ordering from here again.

Beef inedible. Veggie dish was sub par. Won't be ordering from here again.

Just ordered special fried rice noodles,noodles so salty fried rice was stodgy and big chunks of chicken found two prawns beef was like chewing a boot curry was sweet dissapointed must of changed cook will not return as waste of money why so much salt looking at previous reviews they same the same thing avoid

May have caught them on a bad night, but sorry, not going back. Beef on the special fried rice was like boot soles, couldn't bite through it and prawn toast tasted slightly sour. King prawn was nice though.

Special black beans that i ordered is not fresh, shrimps is rubbery, pork and beef is dry. Only sause and the rest are fresh.

They had it ready scarily quick and it was NOT good...lovely people but the food was sooooooo sweet. Shame as I was craving a nice and spicy dish and all I got was something they resembled a dessert...hold back on the honey guys!!! 🙃

Visited this takeaway by chance, ordered Chicken Cashew with fried rice. Time to wait average, clean frontage and waiting area, unable to see cooking area so I can't comment. Once home and placed the meal onto a plate, I was unable to smell anything and when tasted this the meal was tasteless with a total of eight cashew nuts in the meal. Disappointed with this first visit and probably won't return.

Excellent food and great portion sizes! Food is always super tasty and piping hot, this place is now our 'go-to' for Chinese takeaway!

Top notch hygeine and excellent food, great value. Very cautious about COVID-19 where other restaurants have been flouting the rules.

Not my normal Chinese but tried for 1st time was told 1hr for delivery came not 1 minute late hit the taste buds absolutely had sweet /sour chicken Hong Kong style extra spicy will defo use again my opinion spot on

Food is gorgeous espically the salt and chili chips, the kids love the fried chicken. Delivery is always quick and the food is piping hot.

Very poor! Avoid!!!! Takeaway was over half an hour late! Would not recommend.

Intenté ordenar en línea el sábado. 25 minutos después, el pedido aún está pendiente, por lo que sonó para cancelar. El hombre canceló el pedido por teléfono y se mostró como cancelado en mi pantalla. Aseguró que me reembolsarían pero cuatro días después todavía no hay reembolso por 23. 60 Solo llamaron para que me lo dijera, ya que lo ordenaron como una recogida, cocinaron la comida y no me reembolsarán a pesar de que organicé la cancelación antes de que se cocinara. El gerente no habla con los clientes, solo se sienta en la parte posterior tomando el dinero de las personas por nada. No es de extrañar que los estafadores no sean solo comer.

Delivery took 80 minutes instead of 40. The guy who finally arrived shrugged his shoulders when I asked when he was late. Poor service, been offered discount but unlikely to order again in future.

First time trying as had leaflet through door... Ordered the chicken with green peppers and black bean sauce and very very disappointed. The amount of salt was inedible. Even though the meal itself looked appealing the taste was unbearable. Why so much salt. Thank you but no thanks. Will go elswhere.

Ordered for the first time tonight. Got a combo box and didn't realise it would all be mashed together - little downside as all the sauce had leaked over everything but still tasted delicious ! Everything was hot, very good quality and a decent price for the north. We got masses of food and it was ready for collection almost as soon as we arrived. They do delivery but not when you order combo boxes so beware !

I’ve been meaning to leave a review for a while, I tried this place a couple months back. I tried the house special chow mein, king prawn curry, rice, chips, crackers. You know it’s not going to go well when you open the chips and they’re dry and overdone. And the chow mein, it REALLY WASN’T NICE NOODLE!

My wife and I get a takeaway from these guys probably on a weekly basis. Wouldn’t go anywhere else, best one I’ve tried in the area. Great service, lush food and generous portions. The app is really handy too! Crispy Shredded Cantonese chicken is the dogs danglies

Excellent food, hot, and good size potions. Quick and friendly service, would highly recommended. 2nd visit while visiting my son. Won't be the last.

My wife and I have had 3 takeaways from here and they've all been very nice. Family members have also tried here and all said it was as nice a Chinese as they've had for a long time.

This shop is a disgrace. Food was appalling. When I spoke to them last year after emailing and speaking with staff they said the manager would look into it. Tried it again last night(may 19). And the food was Luke warm and the salt and pepper prawns and chicken were inedible

Ordered for delivery was told would be within half an hour. 1 phone call and nearly an hour later we got our luke warm food. Far better take away in Gosforth

I’ve unfortunately wasted my money in this joint one too many times. The food is over spiced, over cooked, orders are inaccurate and the staff are rude. The tin of soup in your cupboard is a better bet.

Tried Nice Noodle for the first time on Friday and was not disappointed. I got the Combo box with Peking chicken and Honey & Chilli chicken and a side of rice and chips. The quality and quantity of the food were both very impressive! Done me for tea and then a sneaky dinner the next day. The Prawn Crackers were particularly delightful. Will definitely be returning again soon.

Salt and chilli chicken and king prawn. I can only assume this was made sometime last week the scraggie inedible bits were numerous and those that weren’t would have tested your resolve. £6-70 never again. Not best business practise as we won’t be back🤮

This is now our favourite Chinese takeaway in Gosforth. The King prawn Szechuan was divine and the noodle dishes are also very good. Probably the only downside is they don’t take card payment but there is a cash machine at the garage nearby.

No so nice. Chicken was too hard and chewy. Quantity was sufficient

Food is usually delivered really quick and hot as I live a 5-8 minute drive away. Not last night. Over an hour wait, bag was sweaty the food had been in so long. The chips at the top of their wet sweaty packet were cold and solid. The rice tray was bashed in and had spilled out into the sweaty paper wrapper. The rice only had 2 prawns in where there usually at least 3 or 4. It was really greasy too. I had phoned after 50 mins to be told he had a few drop offs in my area. Sorry but if I am paying £1.50 for delivery I expect my food to be hot when it gets here, not used to make a profit by it being last on a long list of drop offs!!! Only saving thing was the Crispy Salt and Pepper chicken was as delicious as ever.

This is now my go to Chinese since the closure of salters Bridge, I used to go to Pak Lok but its a bit of a trek now. You can't beat the box deal they do, 2mains 2 sides and 2 spring rolls for about a tenner (no delivery on the box though) I've tried loads of different mains doing this and the food is always of good standard and tastes really nice. If the bridge opens again I'll probably still stick with nice noodle.

Tried on the spur of the moment and it did not disappoint. The salt and chilli king prawns are AMAZING. Make sure you take cash when collecting as there's no card machine.

Super fast and friendly service, very helpful with my order and making sure I understood what spices went best with which dish.

Avoid. Arrived 40 minutes late, driver was exceptionally rude (again) and food mediocre. Wouldn’t recommend, there’s better.

Ordered take away for delivery at 7:10... arrived at 8:30... maybe they were busy so not great but Oh well..... then, web site states free prawn crackers on on orders over £15..... but no, when none arrived I rang and was told oh we have changed this to over £20..... !!! Just not acceptable..

great find, it certainly shows how poor the takeways are in Amble are amd how small the portions they serve, as portions from here are really good , will definitely be back even worth the travel

I used to live just round the corner when this place opened but moved a few miles away recently and was gutted it was no longer my local.

We asked for King Prawn Chowmein but to make make it spicey. They gave loads of King Prawn and the spice was perfect. Will defo be going back.

I've tried loads of Chinese takeaways since I moved to Newcastle 8 years ago, and they've all been pretty mediocre. Then the Nice Noodle opened, and thankfully it is fantastic. I've had a few meals from them now and they've been great every time. 30 minute delivery, top food. Best I've had on Newcastle by miles. Ignore the rubbish reviews on here about it going downhill. That hasn't been my experience at all. They've been consistently excellent

Do not eat from this place!!! Full stop. I ended up with food poisoning and I’ll for days. Got in touch with them and they could not care they never got back in touch after saying they would I would give this place a miss

First time visit and won't be our last. Great choice on the menu and I was able to have Udon noodles (which I love) which you don't often see on a takeaway menu.

Food was great, nice value as well. Love Sweet chilli rib. The prawn cracker is much better than other take away.

Excellent food, fantastic to have a good quality Chinese with lots of vegetarian and vegan options too, the tofu was very good. The prices are a little high which is a shame, portion sizes are good.

Great when first opened, soon put delivery charge up from £1:50 to £2, now instead of automatically receiving Free prawn crackers as advertised when spending over £15... you have to select them from the menu otherwise... none will arrive, if only they state that on the advert.... poor service

Nice Noodle and very apt. The curt lady on the phone was the same one at the counter, no smile! Nevertheless we ordered crispy aromatic Duck, Singapore vermicelli, curry and special foo yung all A’s good as expected. We will return, I hope I’ve cheered you up lady.

Used this takeaway when it first opened and it was very good but second time around the food was awful. After an hours wait the order was delivered but everything was stone cold so had to be re heated , however it became clear that the dishes had probably been made earlier and already been reheated before delivery therefore the meat was like rubber and inedible. We won't be ordering again.

Lovely food here and if you order on line you get a discount and the site remembers your previous history. Good customer service too.

Ordered online. Had to ring the shop as the food still hadn’t turned up after a 1 hour wait. When the food did finally arrive 2 hours late it was cold.

I had heard that the new Chinese takeaway was quite good so I decided to give it a try .. I had king prawn chow mein and it was very good... Cooked quickly and fresh . Definitely use again.
