Went for a meal on wednesday night and ordered house special green chilli and garlic sauce, which on appearance looked nice until it was on the plate mostly carrots and the meats and prawns were very dry, i am very dissapointed and not going back as i have been twice now as alot of people seem to l8ke it but its not for me.

Took 90 mins for my order then got the wrong order

Just had a takeaway and what a bad experience....1 we go in and the man serving behind the counter is coughing and barking on ..not a good way to run a business and 2 got home and has to be the slimiest curry ever. Chicken tasted old like it had been cooked days before ...not nice never again ... terrible absolutely terrible....and in response to you're reply...lady was busy on phone and this guy came from the kitchen...and it was definitely you're takeaway..but it's ok won't be returning as it was not nice at all!!!!!

Was recommended this Chinese takeaway by friends and spent over £30. Ordered chicken in batter with sweet and sour sauce with chips and gravy as part of our meal. Meal came without sweet and sour sauce. Guy misunderstood the order - fair enough, mistakes happen but it's too far to come to bring our missing sauce? 2.8 miles away isn't that far is it? Im sure there would be more deliveries in this radius? We'd have waited for the sauce to eat out meal. Really fancied the meal and gutted that that part of the meal was wasted. Its a shame because the other part of the meal was nice and we spend a lot weekly on Chinese but wont order again.

Usually lovely but horrible tonight gooey jelly like chicken and not a very nice taste... not enjoyed!

I had a Chinese a couple of weeks ago and again tonight I can not fault it prawn chop suey omg really good chicken chow mein again excellent free prawn crackers. Ivan also recommend the salt and chilli prawns and the meal for one excellent and really good value for money

Always get my takeaway from the Sunrise. IMO can't be beaten for taste, portion sizes and price.

Ordered as seen all over fb everyone going crazy for them. Tbh looks really good and idea is perfect just the meat wasn't very nice very chewy and not much flavours. This is why i always stick to my usual chinese

This has been my go to Chinese place for take away food for over 20 years, I sometimes use a local one now though as it's easier to just walk to my local one, but for delivery, I usually use these, really nice food, the take away is not a dirty shop, always looks nice and clean, friendly staff, most importantly the food 99% of the time the food is absolutely lovely, and always hot, my usual is Singapore special chow mein, special fried rice, chips, and they will even do you Peking sauce in a tub, because alot of places don't have that on a menu, but these will do it for you, lovely ribs, which had decent amount of meat on the bone, my wife gets the chilli and garlic chicken, foo Yung, and satay sauce, which is all really nice, also there chicken is always moist and no over cooked and dry. Same average price as 99% of other Chinese takeaway's. So I highly recommend this place, just really wish they would deliver through the day, as when my car has broken down I want a delivery, but there either shut through the day or don't deliver, but majority of takeaways like this type of cuisine don't open through the day or deliver. But over all lovely food 😀

Delivery was promised as up to an hour, still waiting after 2 hours. The man on the phone after being confronted about the delivery time hung up and then did not pick up the phone after a second attempt. Overall an unpleasant experience

THE BEST Chinese takeaway I've had in a long time!! All of it was perfect and we had: peaking spare ribs, salt and pepper chicken, special chow mein Singapore style, salt and pepper chips, king prawn and beef curry and fried rice. So much food left over for te next day too! This was all under 30 quid!!

Ordered the meal over 2 hours ago still not arrived blanking the phone engaged ect... Waste of time proper disgrace of a service

We order every week and we actually live in Chester le street not like the reviews on here from Newcastle and Woolsington why would you order from a take away miles away from you? We have take away every week from here and never a bad meal service excellent and food hot and delicious. Don't believe the bad reviews they are spot on.

I love the beef chow mein. But the special sachwain is ok but I don't like how they coat there chicken in flour it goes to jelly and has an awful texture. So if you order that don't have chicken.

Firstly, customer service wasn’t great, chicken was disgusting and the rest of the food wasn’t exactly edible either and my whole family has now got a bad stomachs because of this place. Wouldn’t even go near this place again absolutely terrible and overcharged ya too. Just avoid would give any stars if possible😐

Favourite chinese takeaway, the chicken and king prawns in a garlic butter flavoured with a Chinese rice wine is amazing!

Terrible service, son bought sweet and sour chicken and nearly choked on the chicken pieces of the carton was stuck to the chicken and the carton had holes in the bottom when sauce was poured over the sauce was dripping out of carton when I rang up they were very rude and would not refund waste of money for food that wasn’t up to standard will not order again!!

Do not ring for a Chinese from here the woman was rude and most of the comments weren't very good anyway I wonder why. Listen we have used this takeaway for a few years and the food is good and portions are as well however after ordering a Chinese tonite (sat) and being told it could take up to an hour we placed our order and waited it is sat night so bound to be busy .But after hour and a half no sign so my miss rang up and asked how long the food would be they said it hasn’t left yet and could be another hour in a abrupt voice as though it was our fault,at this point we told them it was too late and not too bother they then hung up.In future if they carnt deliver food in a decent time they shouldn’t say they will,there was no sorry it’s on it’s way or any kind of “we’re just really busy it won’t be long “. Carnt see us using this Chinese any more shame

Very bland food. Doesn't taste like Chinese food. More like a casserole. Also, no salt & vinager for chips...... Waste of money.

Family run restaurant and they have kept the standards over the years. Compared to other takeaways they are amongst the top ranking ones. sometimes the quality drops depending on who is in the kitchen , day and time but overall good takeaway

This is my local take away. I love the food and it's always cooked fresh. The chips are hit and miss, but mostly spot on.

Shame as previously stated your delivery people are the only customer service you have! Bad times!

Brilliant meal - the food is really nice and generous with portions - guy behind the counter isn't going to win any smiling competitions but will defo be using this as my "mein" Chinese from now on.

I have to say, I'm impressed. Food was just delicious, it landed on the counter in no time after ordering and the price is bang on. Quality!Ordered a salt & pepper chicken for myself and sweet & sour king prawns for the wife. Asked for my meal to have some extra chilli and it did, I like a kitchen that doesn't hold back on that request. However, I asked for my wife's prawns to be unbattered, they weren't but there wasn't much on them which is fine because her "no batter" request is born out of every other takeaway who uses too much. Fried rice is only lightly fried, which is good. In some other takeaway's I more regularly visit, I ask for boiled rice as their fried rice is too fatty. Here, it's spot on.Can see myself making more visits.

Really love most dishes here - the chow mein and wandering dragons are my favourite. The owners greet customers exceptionally well and look after you.

Was lucky enough to live round the corner from this take away so took advantage and sampled the menu quite a bit! Never had a bad meal from there. Would deffo recommend chicken chow mein and Spring rolls. Great food

I've been getting a sunrise delivered at least once a week for the good past few years and have never once had a bad meal from the place, nor do i know anyone that ever has.

Use this takeaway regularly and have not found another one to match it. The service is good and the food is excellent and tasty. Could do with a bit more meat in the dishes but otherwise spot on.

There was a fly in my food.told the take away they just put the phone down on me.

used to be a nice take away. just got one the night nd it was horrible dry nd tasteless.wont be using this again.

i normally get my Chinese takeaway from this place as i only live around the corner from it. however, on 2 separate occasions, i have fallen severely ill after having my meal from this place which is unusual as its never happened before. ordered the mixed meat in black bean sauce and have been violently sick on 2 occasions as a result. now i wouldn't order this dish again as a precaution of the situation happening again

Food from here is always fantastic. Delivery usually 45 mins to 1 hour. Can get very busy weekends so order early! Order from here 2-3 times a month and never disappoints. 5 stars

Not only does this restaurant not deliver (which is something that should be stated on your website) I wasn't all that impressed with the food either.The lamb was quite tough and not very flavoursome and it was the same with the chicken dish.

I love Chinese food but it never seemed the same when done as a takeaway but this place is different. the special fried rice is gorgeous, curry sauce is nice and tangy and the spare ribs to die for. AND plenty of it.

Me and my partner eat Chinese at least once a week and found this takeaway not to long ago we've ordered all differnt kinds of food and every1 being of a high standard. its not as greasy as other takeaways. Every order cooked fresh. Friendly staff and delivery. Highly recommended.

We ordered a takeaway and we're advised that it would take an hour and a half. We were ok with this. However after 1 hour 40 mins we called (bearing in mind it is now 840pm) we were told our food hadn't even been cooked yet. When we protested and complained the man on the other end of the phone had disgusting manners. Shouted over me and told me he did not care about me or my opinion or that i was writing a review ... absolutely shocking customer service... It was not a cheap order either... 30 pounds better spent else where... I'd rather cut my right arm off than give these rude, obnoxious people my money. It costs nothing to have manners!!!!

Food is fantastic, good selection available on the menu and I have never had a bad dish. Orders are prepared quickly if you collect and delivery is always within 45 mins.
