Loved everything about it! Would highly recommend 👌

👤Staff were welcoming, friendly and very accommodating when explaining how to order food items on the tablet for the hot pot. ⏱️The broth and toppings (meat/ veg/ seafood) for the hot pot came out fairly quickly. It is a self service style hot pot but it doesn’t feel rushed or like you are unwelcome. 💰Cost depends on what and how many toppings are ordered. Would recommend for large groups. ⭐️There is a large selection of toppings for non-meat eating dietary requirements (e.g corn, melon, bamboo shoots, tofu, different mushrooms). Plenty of veggies and a fair selection of seafood (e.g prawns, crab, scallops) ✅Lots of opportunity for customisation and if you decide you want to order more it is easy to do so with the tablet service. ✅Unlimited sauce station available (💰for an addition £2 charge) with plenty of different condiments (e.g soy sauce, salt, msg, sesame, garlic, spring onions) ❤️Would 100% recommend. Very good as a group outing as it makes the cost worth it, especially if you usually split the bill.

I had always wanted to try hotpot, and Happiness 2 provided us with an amazing experience. They talked us through how to do it properly, the food provided was all freshly prepared and delicious! The service was really good! I recommend giving here a go!

Delicious food, first class service, and good value for money

Wheelchair friendly place, accessible WC too. Friendly staff and attentive. The drinks menu has a great selection alcoholic/none to choose from watermelon ice snow and taro milk tea recommended. You can have the hot pot menu or the classic one. The king prawn chow main was delicious, and the two roast meat with rice went down well. Definitely be visiting again.

Popped in with family for dinner. While there weren't many hot pot options, the quality of the dishes was excellent—tasty and beautifully presented. The service was great, with the staff always attentive to our needs. There was a good variety of drinks since the restaurant is connected to a bubble tea shop. It's not cheap, but definitely worth it.

Great selection, as a vegetarian I had plenty of choice and the food was tasty. Everyone was very friendly and attentive.

Absolutely lush food here. The egg fried rice is just so so good as is the salt and chilli chicken. The staff are so kind and even showed me how to use chopsticks but I still can’t get the hang of it. Decent portion sizes too I never end up finishing my food. My new favourite place to come for food when I’m dining out :)

Called in here with my wife and daughter while out shopping today, so glad we did, the food was fantastic and the staff were so friendly and helpful, easy to say one of the best dining experiences that I've had in a long time. We opted for cooking our own selection of meat and seafood in two different kinds of broth, all of which were delicious. The waitress helped with our selection and gave excellent advice and assistance when mixing up our dipping sauce We will definitely return and highly recommend.

Cannot rate this place highly enough. Wandering around Newcastle and decided we wanted Chinese for dinner so headed for China Town and found this wee gem. Stunning restaurant with such a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Met at the door with a smile from the waiter and they cannot do enough for you. Food was delicious. Impeccable hygiene. Beautiful surroundings. Please give it a go - u will not be disappointed.

We really enjoyed our visit ... Had a hot pot and some other dishes. All were delicious and the service was very quick. The kids finished the meal with ice creams. We come back fairly often, as it is one of your favourite authentic Chinese restaurants.

Lovely! The staff are sweet and kind, the food is delicious, and the dining room is beautiful. It's also wheelchair friendly, which is hard to find in this area. The chow mein was my favorite.

Went walkabout in Newcastle and was heading for a different restaurant but when I got there it was more Japanese and Dim Sum which I didn't fancy. As I was perusing my options, I ended up outside here and what a find! It was great: I had the ribs and special curry (chicken, beef, char sui pork, shrimp) without rice. The chicken in particular was so soft it melted on your palette. It's in Chinatown and located on a streetnfull of restaurants so you have to be decent to stay in business. Well worth a visit.

We absolutely love this place! The staff are so friendly, helpful, welcoming and attentive. The food is great and the hot pot is a crowd pleaser. We love the chicken broth with pork and beef, noodles, vegetables, rice cakes and soup dumplings. We have eaten here 4 times already this year and can’t wait to go back!

Looked the best Chinese in China town, and it may have been. Really pretty inside with fake tree of blossom. Service was quick but no hassle. Could have had a Hotpot but as we were vegie and meaty had " a la carte." Big helping of main meals and noodles, rice was a bit small, but we had more than enough. We enjoyed the meal service good, would go back if ever in Newcastle again

As soon as we walked in we were asked if we would be having hot pot (clearly taking on feedback from previous reviews) and I’m so pleased we did! We opted for 1/2 Szechuan broth and half chicken. Let me tell you that Szechuan was hot - don’t try and associate it with what you are used to from a take away, it will blow your brains out ahah. The chicken broth was so tasty. Cannot fault the staff, they took the time to go through the menu with us and advised us on what they would have in the broth. The waiter also walked me round the condiments and again advised on what to select. Lovely experience for our first hot pot

Very attentive staff, nice decor and not too bad on the price. We had meals from normal menu, not the broth pots as it was only two of us but the idea is brilliant!

Evening visit, seated easily, nice environs, friendly and efficient servers. Food choice was varied and our food was very nice.

The expiernece was amazing we order our food and got it in 5 mins the food was great and I would like to say thank you to the man and woman who were thier when we where I would definitely come here again

Six of us go there regularly for the past years and did think the food and the service was ok. But this time, five of us went and pre booked table for 5 for hot pot a day before we went in on Sunday. When we arrived, we were seated at the table for 4, which is way too small for 5 people having hotpot. We asked them to change to a bigger table which was available at that time but none of the waitresses or waiters cared even the manager said no after I complained to him. There was no room at all for the dishes which all left in the tray only two people could reach! ! We had to hold the bowl in our hand all the time. The food let us down also, very oily and undercooked. We spent 200 quid plus service charge. The restaurant didn’t even care to say sorry for offering such poor service and food. Extremely disappointed. How people could run the business like this. We all decided not to spend one more penny here again!!

I arrived with my family seeking something different to eat, and we absolutely loved this place. A big thank you to the guy who welcomed us at the entrance; he was very attentive to us from start to finish, patiently explaining how the hot pot works and giving us great recommendations. The chef was also very attentive, as was the waitress. The atmosphere of the place is beautiful and cozy. We really enjoyed the hot pot meal, as well as the other dishes. The duck with rice was especially tasty and delicious. The food was of high quality, fresh, and what stood out the most was their excellent customer service. We will definitely come back!

Lovely staffs and atmosphere but the food was very disappointing. Ordered spicy mix oden ( Mala Xiang Guo).Dish came in lovely presentation but had chips in dish- like from frozen pack instead of the one we ordered which were sliced potatoes. Had to request to change to the one we ordered. Meat slices were very dry and hard to chew even after fixing/ cooking again. We went there with high hopes due to lovely atmosphere but all we got was disappointment. Hoped for better quality of food with this price.

Cool nice restaurant high prices though

Been twice now and both times the food and service were brilliant but on both occasions the staff brought out the mop bucket ready for closing at around 9:30 which filled the restaurant with the smell of bleach as we were still finishing our hotpot. I’d be very willing to come again but please keep the bucket in the back!

Restaurant comes up online as a buffet place but it is NOT. Nice ambience. Food was tasty but portions were not much.

First time i tried Chinese Hotpot. Food was amazing. We can't try Chicken or beef ( meat) item because of halal issue.we ordered mushrooms,shrimps,ricecake. They have so many veg options which is wonderful. Overall their environment was very cozy.

Second visit and sensational food and fantastic service, loved every bite. Will most definitely be back for a third visit.

Came here today and its so chill the food is great and the staff are amazing hapoy 33rd bday to me cause this was the topper of the iceberg cocktails are amazing too will deffo be back to try more

This is my favorite hot pot restaurant in the entire Newcastle. It’s not only because it’s a very lovely restaurant. I love the flower tree in the middle of the dining room. It’s so pretty. But also because they have special tables for the pot that boils meat and veggies. Also, a bonus point to the quality of meat because I’ve been to some other places where some meats are too chewy, but there are many too always stay thin. I don't like they charge for sauces but it is acceptable if they allow me to reload. I do recommend if you want to try other food they have here, go for some simple home dish or sticky rice sticks, but not BBQs. I’ve had barbecue at this place, such as lamb, skewers chicken wings, etc, and they were not that good so I will say just stick to hot pot.

I went here tonight it was really nice and a beautiful place to go. the food was amazing. Very professional. It was one of the best Chinese restaurants IV been to in a long time. I would recommend to all that want good service , good food and an amazing sitting area. I'm definitely going back with my future girlfriend that's if I get one lol. It's also a good place for family night out in style.

Didn't know what to expect as it was a mixture of sushi and Chinese. But wow it was amazing. Freshly cooked to order and full of flavour. Really good choice for gluten free. Would definitely recommend.

Was there last week with the good company of my wonderful husband and my niece. First time there and my my it did not disappoint by any stretch of the imagination the duck blood was my favourite . Any worries I had about it was vastly improved with my eyes. The staff were very helpful and professional

Incredible service from the young man behind the bar who helped me choose what to order during my first hot pot experience. All servers were happy and helpful! Food was quick to arrive, fresh, and full of flavour. Definitely worth the money and I hope I can return :)

Called in on a whim just before a show at Tyne Theatre. I was very pleasantly suprised by the food and service - I had a lovely, fresh, sichuan chicken. The poached chicken had a great texture. Service was great. I just came on here to see what others had to say and was suprised by some negative reviews so decided to add my own!

We had a late night Chinese here last night and appreciated them letting us dine even though they were very near closing time. Service was great given they were closing soon. Food all cooked very fresh and nice. We had duck pancakes, Cantonese ribs, beef black bean and chicken satay. All tasty and good value for money.

After eating here tonight for the first time, we will definitely be returning!! We would normally go for something off the a la carte menu but on this occasion decided to go for the hot pot. We have never had a hot pot before and were totally clueless as to how it worked and what we had to do. The staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and lovely and polite. They talked us through the experience and helped us to order our food. The food itself was extremely tasty and we really enjoyed creating our dipping sauce. Thank you so much for the whole experience and we can't wait to come again!!

As a Chinese, I v been here quite many times. I must write a comprehensive and objective review for this elegant restaurant. I come from a province of main land China which famous for hotspot. So I pretty much think I got an angle to write a review for spicy foodstuff. This restaurant is super hygienic and well-decorated. The staff here are well-trained, friendly, and even suited; lol whenever you messed up the table they gonna come to help you clean it. As for the food, if you are English or not originated from Asia, what bothers u to try chips instead of extremely tasty hot pot and spicy oden? I can guarantee you won't regret trying those. Plus, they are generous to provide u with free soft tissue and shrimp crisps as a starter. Anyway, definitely 5 stars. And a small tip for music, if u want customers to eat slowly, little soul on YouTube is suitable for it xd.

Friendly and welcoming with excellent food. Specialises in hotpot meals but we just had dishes from the 'normal' menu.

Great food, generous portions and the wonderful staff could not do enough for you. We ended up in there for hours! Overall it was a really fun experience which I enjoyed even more than I thought I would!

My cousin and I were trying to escape the muggy heat and came into this beautifully decorated place. It was magical, with the Cherry blossom 🌸 tree smack in the middle of the restaurant. They do a nice hot pot and an extensive ala carte menu. The young man and woman that served us were cute and very attentive. The price was reasonable and food was a tantalising experience for our taste buds.

Cool concept, poorly executed. The squid was good, meat ok, and veges turned to mush. Also, was told condiments were complimentary but were charged an extra £4. Surely on an £80 bill for two people just admit your mistake. Underwhelming.
