Tang Village in Poole

Having used this takeaway for around 6 years now and never had a complaint I’m afraid the last two meals have been absolutely awful the chicken looks like it’s been rubberised and covered in slime totally dismal and the rice is sticky and gloopy so I’m afraid it’s time to try somewhere else

I have been using Tang Village for 9 years now. They are THE best, original Chinese takeaway I know. And at 54 I've had plenty. Friendy and efficient with a great attitude. I can only say that those who have had a bad experience. . Probably had a bad attitude. Worth it ALL day long. Thanks guys.

We’ve always had a great take away however to night not so , yes it was sorted out however my husband had finished his by time my came so not so enjoyable! We eat together!! This wasn’t so nice delivery chap was great! They wanted me to gafe discount next time that’s not what we wanted!

Have always used Tang and have spent £100's there, only to order tonight and the complimentary prawn crackers were o longer available unless you now spend £25! Hence we will now go elsewhere

Super expensive takeaway. The food is normally ok but come the next morning you need a gallon of water. Placed an order for 1900 delivery and it arrived at 2015. The food was stone cold and the sweet n sour sauce was like jelly. Won't be using again. One of the filthiest Chinese takeaways in Poole. Only a 3 hygiene rating given by the health inspector. Never going here ever.

Always had good food from Tangs over the years, however last night I fancied S&S pork balls. At least half of them were gristly meat and were thrown away. they were really well cooked, and the batter was nice and crispy. I guess it’s not their fault as most things like pork balls are probably frozen from a supplier. Maybe feedback to the supplier about them?

Ordered last night specifically asked for no sea food due to my son being allergic to it . He was eating his house special fried rice which we asked for no prawns and near the end of him eating he found 3 prawns . He’s been up all night throwing up !!!! Absolutely disgraceful will be reporting this !!!

Went around 24 years ago went to poole quay on way back saw it was still there. Good menu piping hot and tasty 5 Stars easy to park got two free irems

Normally get my Chinese from here, and spent £28. M out of the meal was fine, no issues, but would strongly suggest that anyone ordering from this establishment does not order the Lamb Red Curry, it was simply rubbish and all fat no lamb. At a cost of £6.80 we were very disappointed

chow mein tastes like rubber, place looks like it's really gone down hill, had to wait an hour and half for food.

A big order for a family of 9 and everything was perfect. Fresh and beautifully cooked.

Disappointed with my first order from Tang! I had an hour wait for delivery and not a vegetable in sight. Bland and salty. The chicken chop suey consisted of pieces of chicken with bean sprouts - nothing else! The pancake roll was full of guess what - bean sprouts! I won’t be ordering again….

Food was ok but I gave 4 star because the chicken balls were too oily like they didn’t sift some excess oil out before serving. Every other thing was nice.

Always have good food from here, hot and tasty...quite lengthy delivery times (sometimes up to an hour) but worth the wait. However recently had a bad experience when the delivery driver turned up and made a rude and unnecessary comment when they delivered our food. I work in a pub/restaurant and the comment made was like me putting a customers food in front of them and then saying "Oh, you're eating here again are you?" They also said that they'd had enough of that kind of food, and I quote "Can't eat that s**t anymore" Won't be ordering from here again for a while 😠

Always go to this place for our Chinese takeaways and its definitely the best we've found in the area. Food is always delicious and good quality. When ordering for delivery they usually say it takes around 40-50 mins but its usually a lot quicker. Definatly go to this place if you like Chinese food.

Never had a bad takeaway from here. Always prompt with service. Prices are good.

Really nice food and large portions

The seaweed had way too much sugar it wasn’t edible. But the king prawn rice was lovely, hot and fresh and not too greasy. And excellent prawn crackers! Overall a very good Chinese, just don’t order the seaweed!

Takeaway was not as hot as normal, the Singapore fried rice had no chilli in it and the battered chicken was cooked too quickly resulting in over cooked batter on the outside but uncooked batter inside. This is the second time we have been disappointed by Tang Village.

Terrible service. Nearly 1 hour late with delivery. Called to cancel my order as my son was hungry and couldn't wait another half an hour. Asked for a refund to be told no ..I could get £12 off next order Told them I wouldn't be ordering again and I wanted my money back. Still a no..so off I went to the Take Away and demanded my money back No apology or anything. Reluctantly gave me my money back as a shop full of customers Steer clear as foods not great either from past experience. Just needed what I thought would be a quick meal

Food took ages to turn up by delivery (OK, it was Saturday night) and order was wrong. Phoned up to query this and was told flat out that they knew what they cooked and I was wrong. What kind of customer service is this........? Food that did turn up was acceptable.

Ordered a nice Chinese this weekend from tang village in poole , I first went there with my grandad when I was 5 , we spent £45 on what we thought like always would be a nice meal . Ordered at 430 pm to be at my home for 6pm , at 630 I called them and asked where it was, they said it left 20 minutes ago should be with you soon , 20 minutes later it comes opens the food and it’s stone cold 🥶 all they said was we can give you is a £4.50 discount of your next order only . I spoke to a lady who said she will see what she can do and nothing very disappointed ☹️ so I’m hoping with my customer rating they lose more money than my £45.00 the sauce in picture normally would give you 1st Degrees burns

Have always gone here. After tonight, I will not for a while. Placed an order at 6pm. Called at 7.10pm to find out where it was. Told 20 mins away. Waited till 8pm. Called again. Hadn't even been cooked. 2 hours wasted. Poor poor service. Not even an apology.

Put in a fairly large order for 6 people for my birthday. It was ready to collect in about twenty minutes, the food was great and still really hot when we got it home. Portions are pretty generous so even got some leftovers the next day!

SADLY my £30 meal was not edible .. Greasy chow mean. Tough beef curry that was mainly onions. Chips thT hD been recooked more than once. Over cooked pancake roll. The chicken balls were good though. However woken up this morning with stomach cramps and severe diarrhoea.....not only have I wasted £30 on the worst take out ever.. I am now in pain and can't go to work. Sadly just wasted £30 ... ordered a Chinese meal from here and it was awful. The food was greasy and the beef was tough. The chips had obviously been refried more than once and were like sharp sticks of wood....the only part that was OK was the chicken balls ... gave it to the dog ..complete waster of money . I appreciate that they were very very busy however I would advise that they dnt take the orders if they serve that equality of food.. What a waste of £30......

Best Chinese or one of the top ever in the UK. Tried loads lived all over this has got to be the best Beef and Green pepper ever. I cannot understand anyone complaining or marking low as our meals arrive within 20 mibutes unless weekend which is more than understandable. Simply delicious with great veg meat service and telephone orders. A top takeaway. If you find a better beef and blackbean sauce please let me know as you won't 😘❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊ps mixed veg are top too... Never thought I'd enjoy veg so much. Many thanks tang... And well done.

Food was tasty but ordered at 7 and food delivered at 9.30! 2 and a half hours! Rang after an hour and a half and was told 20-30 minutes away. Had to call again to ask what was happening after 2 hours waiting. Food finally arrived and I told the driver I wouldn’t pay the full price. He said they will take the money off him if he didn’t get it! Won’t be using them again if they can’t treat customers and staff fairly.

Tried to order today 14th Nov, constantly got engaged tone, tried for over 45mins. Ordering online is not easy either as soon as you put your address in you get a URL, which didn’t make any sense whatsoever. In the end we went elsewhere.

Ordered online at 5.20pm phoned 50 mins later they said would be here shortly waited another 30 minutes phoned again was told order not started yet and didnt know where delivery driver was told them to cancel order absolutely shocking would not use again

Tried this take away a few times now , curry had little flavour the chicken balls and pancake rolls were dripping with oil , very disappointing after waiting for a delivery of over an hour and a half !!!

Customerservice is the worst i've ever seen. Called, a woman named Theresa picked up the phone. I was trying to explain im a Lorry driver from Holland. I was at a truck parking place in Poole, and wanted my food to be delivered at the truck. The women kept asking me for a postal code. I obviously dont have one when i'm at a TRUCK PARKING LOT. I tried to explain how to find me, but she didnt want to listen. Finally we got the agreement that the driver would call me for an exact location. I asked her is it possible to pay with bank card, she said yes. The driver came and told me i couldnt pay with card. He called theresa and she just told him to drive away so i wouldnt have had any food. I asked if i could transfer the money, she didnt know how it worked. Finally to at least be able to eat i offered to go to an atm, i had to walk for 15 minutes while the driver waited for me. This has cost me another 10 euro's because of atm fee. Long story short, a 15 minute walk, 10 euro's extra and COLD food because i had to walk thanks to a not listening employee. (Boss?) Food was ok. If theresa is an employee, she is a rude women not willing to listen to the story of a paying customer. No customer service at all, she would have just let me sit in my truck without anything to eat because SHE couldnt listen to the question if it was possible to pay with a bank card from another country. In my opinion she should be fired immediatly. If she is the boss, go back to school, learn how to run a business and threat your customers in a good way. I can gaurantee because of her attitude, this company will never get a call from me, my collegues or my friends on the road again. For the driver, i would give him a 5 star review. He was friendly, trying to solve the situation theresa has put us in, and very helpfull. This man is the best thing i've seen from your company.

Absolutely can't fault Tang Village. The food is gorgeous, freshly cooked and always piping hot. Last night we had it delivered and felt very spoilt! The delivery came well within the estimated time given and the delivery charge was very reasonable and probably cheaper than collecting ourselves! The food was as always lovely and hot and delicious. The delivery driver was polite too! This is most definately the best Chinese food available in the area. Well Done 👏👏

The food is ok, great when you don't want to cook. The problem is with the very rude young man who answers the phone. He NEVER says please or thank you and I am probably going to vote with my feet. He is the person you speak to when you call and he is not a good representative for this take away.

2 hours 20mins and still waiting... whilst I appreciate its Christmas eve and they're going to be busy...hence why we ordered so early..we are STILL waiting,no call to say they'd be delayed,nothing..very disappointed

Have used Tang Village a few times now and the food is excellent but tonight we ordered and waited an hour and a quarter for delivery! We had to phone twice and just said was on it's way, as good as it is might think twice now before using again.

I have to say Tang Village is the best Chinese in Town! We’ve been customers for so long, moved from Oakdale to Hamworthy and now Canford heath. We have never changed and they still delivered to these areas. The sweet and sour dishes are really, really good but the chips can be hit and miss some times. The delivery people are really friendly and very quick! Great service and would recommend to everyone

We have just had the worst take awayever.The pork balls were full of fat, no taste in the chicken dish, rice was not special at all. Have not had a takeaway for a while, so was looking forward to it, what a let down. Stay clear.

Awful food delivered tonight. Prawn Toast over cooked and pork balls burnt with mouth full of grease. When calling to complain we were offered free prawn toast next time. I said there won't be a next time!!Given a 1 star but really wouldn't rate a star at all. Overpriced vile food!!

We tried this takeaway for the first time and we were very happy with the food. The lady on the phone was polite and friendly and the food was ready promptly. We ordered slightly too much so will adjust on future orders. We shall use this lovely takeaway again.

We think the food at this chinese is the best compared to others in the area. We all have our preferences obviously, but when this one was closed recently we had to go elsewhere and we didn't enjoy it. We always find the delivery drivers to be very nice too. Well worth a try if you haven't tried it yet.

We’ve eaten food from here many times. It’s always really good and not greasy. Delivery is fast and food arrives hot. Great portion size and plenty of seafood or chicken is noodle or rice dishes. I can heartily recommend.

Ordered online at 20.00 for delivery still no food 21.58 tried phoning over 40 times no answer pretty poor show used quite a lot in the past no problem ,but this time feel we have been let down on what is usually a good service

The most bland, tasteless and disappointing takeaway ever. Lukewarm, no flavour and no Chinese spice. BBQ ribs baked with a side of sause you are supposed to dip into. Prawn toast overcooked. No egg in foo yong. Saved all month for this😢. Please don't waste your money.

Ordered Chicken Satay, Seaweed, Prawn Toast, Sweet & Sour chicken balls, Sweet & Sour Hong Kong style chicken, Egg fried rice and Singapore style noodles and it was all very nice - will use again

We just ordered a takeaway from here and found a filter strip from cigarettes in our sealed bag on chicken balls. When we callled they told us no one who works in the kitchen smokes. However they did admit that the delivery drivers do. I asked them what else is comtamined to which they had no answer. I work in a hotel so i know how to treat a customer and i certainly wouldnt laugh at a complaining customer. They refused any compensation. No one in our house smokes, so the questìon is, where did it come from!? See attched picture.

I went there late just as they were closing and they happily served me unlike many others that would have turned me away order mainly appetizers and was happy with taste and quality but wasn't cheap but then again you get what you pay for and this is far from rubbish all in all would come here again and order some mains etc

Returned to Tang Village after a few years of trying other take aways locally - great to see absolute efficiency, good pricing and most of all tasty food for the whole family.

Absolutely horrendous experience, not only did the food take forever to arrive when it did it was cold, with two dishes incorrect and the bottle of coke missed that we were promised cause we had spend a certain amount. I tried to correct the mistake they had made by calling them to sort this out to be answered by a young girl, who was very rude, said nothing could be done as we know what we cooked and e know what we delivered, I asked to speak to a manager, she replies that she was and decided to hang up on. After many attempts to sort this out I simply gave up as there was no professional response being given by the operator. Disgusting customer service and when you pay a company for goods you expect the service to be given in return!

Super fast service, nice food, 5* food safety and they're polite too, not much more you can ask for a takeaway.
