Lo consideramos mejor que cualquier comida china para llevar que tenemos cuando visitamos a nuestras familias en Cardiff y a un precio más razonable. Los gastos de envío locales son muy razonables. “Yam Sing”? More Like “Yam Sigh” The name Yam Sing is meant to evoke cheers and celebration—but my experience felt more like a bad sitcom than a toast to victory. I ordered via their app, paid, and got a confirmation. Everything seemed fine until I arrived at the restaurant, only to be greeted by a staff member who acted like I’d just crashed their family reunion. Apparently, my order was “cancelled”—news to me, considering I had proof of the order right on my phone. What followed was a masterclass in customer service gone wrong. The staff member’s tone was as sharp as a wok spatula, and their “apology” had all the sincerity of a fortune cookie cliché. Despite my efforts to explain, the hostility continued. If Yam Sing means “Cheers,” then they need to check their own recipe, because this experience was anything but celebratory. If you want to be treated rudely, visit the Yam Sing—it seems to be their specialty.

I have dined at this Restaurant several times, both food and service is of a consistently high standard. I would recommend without hesitation. Eddie Reid

It's very traditional, no frills place, but food is excellent and served pretty quick. Asked to pay in advance which is fine and menu is quite extensive, something for everyone. Not the most maintained of places but it it probably aimed at the student population and area. If you are looking for great traditional authentic food and not too fussy about the decor or furnishings, then would highly recommend. It's great food.

Very bland and greasy, quite outdated place and only takes cash which makes me suspicious.

The only Chinese I will order from in Portsmouth. I lived local to them for years, then moved to southsea, tried a few different places that didn't hit the spot and now just drive to hilsea to pick up my food. Or have a delivery.

One of my favourite places to eat, the food was delicious and very friendly and helpful staff. The best service anywhere, nothing was too much and always happy to please. Will be greatly missed.

am asian and think it's pretty good :) prawn crackers remind me of home

Ive heard mixed reviews but thought I would try it here and I loved it. Took about 25 minutes for food to be ready but that's normal for places! Food was good couldn't fault it. Staff were friendly aswell. Will definitely be going back.

Never had a problem with the food, however, went again tonight website said it was open, when I got there from Boxhill it wasn’t ! This is the third time in 4/5 years this has happened to me, won’t be going back.

Food has went down hill, chow mein had no veggies init and was very dry and curry sauce has changed again and it taste like that basic yellow supermarket stuff 🤢🤢🤢 awful food

They've changed the satay sauce recipe by adding curry to it. It now basically tastes like a run of the mill curry sauce to the point you couldn't tell the difference between chicken satay and chicken curry. Shame really as it's one of the better takeaways in Carluke but I'll need to look elsewhere now as I don't like the taste of their new satay dishes.

Absolutely brillant everytime we go. Food is always cooked fresh to order. Staff are always polite and friendly. This time there was 30 of us but normally me and the Mrs go every couple of months.
