such a great Chinese never had any issues , top of food as always , always nice chats aswell when I go in to order

Just been to collect a family meal and once home realised there was a dish missing. Contacted straight away to question their mistake to be told that the dish was definitely there. Sorry but there is no meal here, I will bring it all back to be checked or send someone to my house to check for themselves. No was the answer and the phone was absolutely put down on me. You have just lost a valued customer. Avoid this place like the plague. Customer service is none existent.

Had a takeaway in the week,NEVER AGAIN!!, sweet and sour sauce was absolutely flavourless,special fried rice was dry as a nuns chuff,ribs are tiny 1" pieces,pointless,mei mei is much nicer...and cheaper!!

Can never get through to them to order anything, very bad service since the change of ownership, very poor service..

It has been going down hill for a few months now. Tonight’s meal was the tipping point. Really really salty and the meat was like chewing rubber. To top it all off found a fly in the bag of salt and pepper chips

Always decent, the large spare ribs are hit and miss ,so maybe go with a different dish.

Had house curry. Was very nice. Girl working behind counter was polite. Good stuff. Menu attached in pics as couldn't find one on the Internet.

Satisfied with food, but rude when called up to order. The lady on the phone had a rude tone and wasn’t polite to us and we felt very unhappy after we had ordered. We were simply satisfied with the food however.

Having ordered from Lai's for years in the past before a break of about 18 months was left a bit gutted and hungry tonight. Chilli and salt chicken wings were cooked but the insides left me dubious as to their origins( dont want to think about where they came from). The chilli was full on with a serious afterburn; not neccessarily what you want from a starter. I'm a chilli head but this was a bit too much even for me. Beef Curry main was basically small slices of what tasted like boiled beef in an indescriminate/ unidentifiable sauce. No " curry" flavour, just a thick orangey brown gloop. Chips were ok, cooked at least but was so put-off by trying curry and chicken wings couldn't eat them. Ordering was prompt and to the point ( where is Donna?) and delivery was efficient, but feel something has changed/ been lost here. Such a shame. Back to the fakeaways for me!

Absolutely fantastic the food was ACE. Super fast delivery and even went back and got me some menus. I will recommend this Chinese to everyone . Defo must try.

We from Thorne democratic have recently stopped ordering from there because the delivery guys can't be bothered to walk up 2 flights of stairs.if they don't want the business that there problem.we ordered from there for 14 years now,I wonder if the owners actually know?

Best in area, food always fresh hot and quickly delivered/ready to collect without compromising on quality Donna the counter lady runs the front brilliantly.

This is the best Chinese takeaway in the area, i have tried so many and had so many disappointments with other takeaways in the area but Lais is by far the best ( in Doncaster not just Thorne ) can't recommend them enough

By far the best Chinese in the Thorne / Moorends area. Never go anywhere else for my Chinese and absolutely love the food. The delivery service is always very fast, the food is piping hot, well priced and tastes absolutely amazing!
