Fantastic food and very friendly

Had many a takeaway always been good, but tonight chicken balls were inedible, mainly gristle, curry very watery, cost a lot of money for poor quality

Had a family takeaway this evening, it was our first time ordering from here as normally we go to another local Chinese takeaway. The food was delicious, reasonably priced and the service was excellent 👍🏼 will definitely be coming back again

Ordered some black bean beef which was very nice. HOWEVER. My Sui Mai was raw!!!! It was very disappointing. I tried to complain on their website & Uber eats but it doesn’t allow you to make any review.

Lyn at new China always delivers on taste and it's always hot. Sometime on the weekend when its busy you can expect delays though. food is perfect don't get me wrong but I have 4 stars as there are often delays

Really good. You guys need to deliver to Hailsham. The shops next to you do. Broadway chippy and Broadway kahab. Plus tops pizza all on just eat.. Hailsham lack a really good Chinese so you would be smashing it

I ordered at the counter and as they confirmed the order, i told them i’d go to the cashpoint to get some money, but then when i got back and they had my order ready, they REFUSED to allow me to eat the food before paying!! HORRIBLE SERVICE, 1 STAR because i dont feel bad for the kid who works there.

I have always used New china and the service and food quality has always been amazing until tonight. When I bit into my prawn toast there was a long black hair that was tangled inside it, please make sure your kitchen staff are having their hair tied back and are wearing hair nets 😞

Staff have good service manner and food is tasty and hot whenever eaten here. Good range of dishes readily available.

Everytime we order from New China we are astounded with the quality and heat of the food, the quick delivery and the polite staff. Chow mein is beautiful, satay is lovely, chicken balls are the best in Eastbourne. Singapore noodles are banging! All cooked perfectly. Great little kids dinner! We won't go anywhere else.

The chow mein was super fresh and all the onions and Beansprouts were crunchy and delicious. The pork balls were quite small but were extremely tasty and scorching hot. Meat wasn't chewy and I really enjoyed them. The food was delivered early. Very happy overall.

Tried the chow mein, Singapore noodles and pork balls, all were extremely fresh and arrived boiling hot. Food was early. Crunchy veg. Very happy.

I had Singapore noodles tonight they really hit the spot. Best I have ever had soft well flavoured and spicy judging by that I will order a lot more. Great chef this evening

Nothing special about the chow mein - nearly 99% noodles. Hoisin and cashew chicken contained no cashews. Sweet and sour chicken balls were very nice though. Nearly an hour later than estimated. Probably won't use them again.

Took a chance as our normal Chinese take away was really busy. Pleasantly surprised, we ordered 5 dishes, rice, noodles, and 3 various, all were excellent, really impressed with the food and have to say better than our usual.

Would swear if allowed. Had over an hour and half wait ... called 3 times to be told driver there in 2 mins. Got annoyed as had kids to feed and went for a refund. Was told late as the road works ... I live in Brodrick Rd so no roadworks between here and Broadway. Then when in shop for refund, a driver came in to get our order. They are lying a-holes. Will NEVER order again

Absolutely disgusted with 1, being lied to ! And 2 the delivery time. We were told 45 minutes to 1 hour. I rang back after a hour and 15 mins to be told yes 10-15 minutes they will get it out ASAP. Well now 2 hours later and our food still has t arrived. Extremely upset and disappointed if I had t of paid by card I would be telling them don’t bother and to cancel my order !! A bit of honesty goes a long way. If I was told it will be a 2 hour wait I could of sorted my child something out to eat instead of waiting for food that still hasn’t arrived. All we get is sorry for the wait. This is extremely frustrating we won’t be ordering again. If we could give a rating of 0 we would.

Absolutely ridiculous waiting time, took almost 3 hours for food to arrive after our estimated delivery time was an hour later from ordering. When calling the restaurant multiple times, the excuse given was the weather?? Unacceptable having to wait this long. Will not be ordering here again. Worst service I’ve ever received.

Ordered - sweet/sour; chow mein; pancake rolls. Excellent - fresh; tasty; hot. S/S chicken balls chunky & juicy. Everything was so well cooked, absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend; not only was the food excellent but the staff where very helpful polite & courteous- definitely recommend

Waiting for my take away 2 hours........ Ordered at 17.50pm, phoned them at 19.10 to say where is my order. To then get told they cooking it now. Didnt even get offered a discount at all. Hungry and still waiting... I called again and the lady who is the owner was shouting at the guy saying no discount hasn't been 2 hours. Sorry but this is a disgrace an 1hr.30mins already and still no food... if you can't cope with the orders coming in then don't take them. No other takeaway is this long...why is it you only then? Got my food 2 hours later, was supposed to get some free drinks got nothing. Also food was lukewarm, the chicken balls was pink inside... I believe the authorities need to visit them for food quality.... no apologies at all. You have my number to contact me.. as its a disgrace.....Spending that amount on food you'd expect hot food and fantastic food especially waiting 2 hours for it but nooo what a waste of money. I expect you to call me shaun is the name if not I'm going to trading standards...... I wait for your reply.....

Ordered on New Year’s Eve using Uber eat to find my order had been cancelled just before supposed to arrive, at this point ordering elsewhere was 3hr plus wait. Ruined the night not even a call to say sorry ,

Just had a takeaway from the New china in hampden Park and tbh I was a bit unsure if i was making the right choice choice?? Well I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Quick delivery and the food was excellent! I would definitely order from them again and I just hope they can keep up the good standard's they set tonight?

We have been having this takeaway for 13 years since we moved here. To be honest, this one is as good as the top ones in China town London. You don't have to travel to London and spend fortune on traffic. Their cha sui pork it's almost the best in UK. I know that because I am Chinese.

I don't recomend. Service was quick but food wasn't tasty. Special chow me in incloude 2 pieces och chicken about 2mm wide, 4 pieces of pork/duck/beef (hard recognise) the same wide like chicken and 2 (mini) prawns but half of kg noodles coloured by the source. Won ton soup taste like salted water and chicken fried rice was dry and couldn't find chicken. I've read some good reviews so what's happened!? Did they have bad day??? Very disappointed ☹️

Guess it depends on what you like, but they defiantly do the best Crispy Beef around and they do vermicelli noodles which others do not. simple to order in advance love this place, so always use, have tried others never as nice

Had afew meals from here both being pretty dire first was special curry hardly any meat ...Second was special singapore chow mein ...All noodles couldnt hardly see any meat ...Small sauces with the prawn balls..guess I will go back to Charlie chan's...2 second walk away

A good, old fashioned Chinese takeaway situated in a parade of shops that makes you feel like you fallen out of time and landed in the 1970s. You get exactly what you expect; it's never going to set the world on fire, but it's good traditional Chinese, well cooked and great value.

WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!! Ordered online, took 1hour40 min to arrive and then only received half my order. Try calling and they don’t answer the phone. Never again.

Really good food but a wait of 2 hours 15 minutes was totally unacceptable after being told it would be with us in an hour to an hour & half. My husband rang them after an hour & a half & was told because it was a Saturday night & they were very busy. WE WERE VERY HUNGRY!!! We would definitely use them again but would collect our food in future! Such a shame about their delivery timings because they must lose an awful lot of customers when their food is really delicious.

can not fault the food as it was excellent and very tasty but here come the buts we asked for a delivery was told it would be i hour fair enough it was a saturday night andwe were prepared to wait it took nearly two hours to arrive by then it was getting near 10 pm on ringing and asking where the delivery was several times were told its on its way or another 10 mins yes it was worth it but they need to get there timing right this is not the first time this has happened maybe we should collect in future

We aren't from round these parts anymore but we wish we were!! The food was delicious and piping hot and even better the second day. The tray dinner was massive definitely worth the money and the crispy chilli beef was just enough spice and beautifully cooked. If ever we're back in town we will definitely order again!

Tried this Chinese as me and my partner was staying close by and so glad we did polite staff, not pricey at all very generous with portion sizes and the food especially the chicken curry was absolutely delightful one of the best I’ve ever had.

Egg fried rice and chow mein were lovely. But the crispy chicken bites in chilli sauce barely had any chicken in them, and the satay chicken skewers in peanut sauce was dry and didn't taste very nice. Delivery time was ok.

Los propietarios suelen ejecutar China Garden en la plaza de agua dulce, pero se mudaron aquí. Les he estado pidiendo a ellos desde que ejecutaron su comida para llevar anterior y la comida y el servicio aquí siempre han sido maravillosos.A veces, durante las horas punta, puede tomar un tiempo para que se haga el pedido, pero el personal es siempre muy amable y la comida está cocinada de manera brillante. Recomiendo el pollo dulce y amargo aquí! Mi familia y yo siempre lo ordenamos cada vez que venimos.

Solo tenía repollo, nada más aparte de 4 pequeñas albóndigas.También obtuve un gran chow mein especial, esto fue horrible. Tenía principalmente carne de res y estaba exagerada y seca. Tiré la mitad, ya que no era agradable comer.Un hijo también obtuvo una versión más pequeña de esto y tampoco le gustó demasiado. Él también consiguió el pollo machacado con salsa de ajo, la salsa era adorable y tenía un montón de ajo pero el pollo estaba exagerado. Otro plato que obtuvo fue el pollo en salsa de miel. No estaba seguro de haber obtenido el plato correcto porque no sabía nada de miel, era como una salsa de soja dulce pero sin sabor a miel, el pollo estaba muy seco y exagerado.Mi marido me trajo costillas de barbacoa y patatas fritas. Las costillas eran pequeñas y estaba un poco decepcionado. Le gustaban las fichas.Conseguimos las bolas mezcladas maltratadas con salsa agridulce para compartirlas y las bolas fueron exageradas.El otro hijo recibió un plato de pollo que no le gustó mucho la salsa y también encontró el pollo seco y horrible.Él tenía un plato de arroz que dijo que estaba bien.Nuestro pedido costó algo más de 47, ya que habíamos pedido galletas de gambas también, que estaban bien.Los cuatro de nosotros tuvimos una comida con la que no estábamos contentos y no volveremos a ordenar desde aquí otra vez.

Best Chinese in Eastbourne! Owners from fresh water square Chinese (china garden) now are at New China. Food is great and never have to wait long for it.

Chicken balls didn't look fresh almost looked as tho they were brought in. Will not be eating here again as had bad tummy few hrs after eating from here
