Golden City in South Ribble

Under new ownership since mid 2024, the food is superb. Very tasty, fresh and plentiful. Always a friendly welcome with a smile. Highly recommended.

Tried many meals on the menu, all are very good up to now. From the jumbo sausage to the orange chicken. Thank you.

Brilliant food, lovely people. A really genuinely good Chinese takeaway, especially now it’s under new management. It is a night and day difference. Highly recommend the munchy boxes! They are the best around Won’t go anywhere else 👍

This has recently become one of my favourite places to order Chinese food from. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. They don't deliver, which doesn't bother me

Don’t go here much as its the worse one of the 3 Chinese in Lostock hall . Ordered a special fried rice found a toe nail in init was nearly sick

I had a special curry and it was very tasty. Shame about the frozen chips or it would of been a 5 star. Can’t comment on any other meals though. Really I’d of give it 4.5 if possible.

Always good food and always ready when they say it will be.

awful, chicken wings were grey looking, rang them, they said if they are brown they are overcooked, told them i won't be back again.

Set meal for 4 disappointing amont of food. Usually good value when ordering individual meals. Great food in general

First time I've been here. Very disappointed. Looked and tasted like a pound ready meal from iceland. How can they go wrong with chicken curry? Won't be going back .

The best Chinese takeaway in the Bamber Bridge/Lostock Hall area. They don't do delivery but don't need to because its well worth the journey to collect. Highly recommended

Rude people. Order food, go to collect and find out they've given it to someone else and then had us waiting for an hour and then told us the chef has gone home so no food. Absolute disgusting and no apology.

Had ordered 3 meal chips and gravy. Gravy very s salty and extreamly fatty Chicken satay. Was alright but watery n sauce as such with it Sweet and sour chicken. Lots of pinapple not much sauce at all and what was there watery Don’t think will be back all in all not really enjoyed the meals

Best Chinese for miles around. Never had to complain once .of all the time I've been coming here. There salt and pepper wings are to die for.

We have tried different Chinese take always in the area but this is the best. We usually have one once again, always a great service and freshly made to order. Brilliant

I think terrible is way to soft a word to describe the meal I had last night, I ordered two portions of spare ribs one BBQ and one salt and pepper, the BBQ sauce had so much MSG when I picked the last one out of the sauce the sauce came out in one lump, MSG is used to thicken liquid, it is also said you can use this in anything ie S—T and it will make it taste ok, the salt and pepper ribs were coated in some sort of batter which after biting into it was just soft and undercooked, I removed this and the ribs had been boiled and had no flavour at all, the salt and pepper was a few onions and a few peppers, again no flavour, my partner had noodles and he was ill today, I will never visit here again.

I asked if they did delivery as I’m a patient of st Catherine’s dying of stage 4c cancer.. and just asked do they deliver she said no abruptly and I said it’s ok il get someone to collect them she just hung up... disgusting manners.. haven’t even ordered from here before so glad I’m not now. Disgusting!

An excellent take a way. The lemon chicken is yummy.

Awful over priced food...special fried rice was tasteless...won't be going here again...gutted as wasted 13 pound on this...

Best Chinese takeaway around would not go anywhere else

Great little takeaway offering a huge selection on their well priced menu. Nice friendly staff too.

Standard Chinese restaurant food would try again but the salt and pepper chicken was too peppery. All in all it was nice 3 stars

Brilliant Chinese. Hands down the best one in the area. Everything just seems to taste fresh and portion size is very generous. Not a hint of MSG.

Ordered from Golden City for the first time. Very disappointed, ordered 5 items in total and 2 of them were incorrect, I was home when I realised, about 15minutes drive and couldn't be bothered driving back. Picked at what we had ordered. Overpriced and disappointing.

This Chinese is great. I have never found one better when I have been elsewhere. The salt and pepper chicken is amazing and the curry sauce is nice and spicy. Best place in lostock hall.

Best Chinese around others don't compare & service excellent

Love this Chinese. Best one around. Had to go to another one in the village one night dues to Golden City being closed due to unforseen circumstances and I wish I hadn't. If I find it's ever closed again I will just cook myself as there is no other Chinese as good as this.

VERY RUDE staff when pointed out to them that the order was over 30 minutes later then they said it would be on the phone no apology or anything just smiled and slammed the change into our hands and went back into the back

We have been getting our Chinese takeaways from Golden City for a few years now and have never been disappointed. Best Chinese takeaway for miles.

Had visitors round 2 adults four kids me and misses wanted are tea so thought Chinese a good idea rang our order up told a time would be ready got there on time just had to wait 5 minutes good sign food hot nothing left on anybodies plate reasonable priced would recommend give it a try..

Love this Chinese. It's the best there is in Lostock Hall. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Great food and great prices too.
