Best chinese take away around quality and a fair price

Really decent Chinese food at a great price.

Never seem too happy in "Smiling Valley".. food is ok... Certainly not brilliant I'm afraid.

First time trying here but was highly recommended. Bit worried that 3 heigene rating on door. Ordered crispy beef and house special chow mein. Came too just under £12. Have to say the nicest Chinese ie had I'm a while. Polite staff. Will definitely go again.

Excellent food and very good value. Many places have increased prices and some places have gone very expensive. I feel smiling valley prices are still very reasonable and more than fair for the quality of food. Just had salt and chilli prawns and they were amazing. 5 stars from me!

Lovely food and reasonably priced.

Smiling Valley has always been my go to, but tonight our food was AMAZING. Surpassed usual expectations. The chow mein was flavoursome, not salty or greasy. Everything was perfectly tasty. Thank you for a great meal. Can’t recommend enough.

Another great takeaway, very polite staff, I’ve tried loads on the menu, every meal I’ve had is so tasty & authentic, curry spice made to order, 🌶️🌶️🌶️😉, great value & mega quick delivery, keep up the great standards

Cash only, I was £4.25 short and they trusted me to drop it in another time, which I did the next day, food was good too.

I can honestly say that I have never been disappointed with a meal from here. The order is always correct, the food is lovely and it's reasonably priced....What more could you want? 😊😊😊😊

there are new owners in smiling valley now for a few months, ive tried many meals off the menu & all have been really tasty, i asked for my special curry to be spicy the other night & wow it was really spicy like the old fashioned chinese curry used to be not sweet or overpowering, well done smiling valley, keep up the great tastes,

Fantastic food, great service. Never got an order wrong and we keep ordering. Best Chinese take-away we have ever had since we came to Wales, in fact better than the one we had in England. Very accurate timing. Would highly recommend, the new owners of this place are amazing, the workers are kind. Very friendly place.

I gave a good review for this takeaway some months ago. It is still better than the vile offerings of the other Chinese takeaways in Ebbw Vale ,but I had their special chow mien...which tasted ok, but lacking in "special". Noodles and a few bits of meat and 2 prawns ,is not special. Meat spring roles now have almost no meat. ,spare ribs hard as knock. I get the feeling that they are trying to make more money by cutting back on ingredients. Service is good, flavors are pretty good ,but your food has gone down, don't let it sink.!" .

After clarifying twice that our order was correct we have still come home to the wrong food. Disappointing.

Whilst I have used this takeaway for many years and will continue to do so as it has excellent food I was disappointed to find after reiterating twice that the salt and pepper chicken I requested was delivered as a sweet and sour chicken. Needless to say my daughter who the dish was for, was not impressed.

Food for this place is nice an the offers they do are really good too! Three trays for eleven pounds, and they don't skimp either!

Not very nice food is mediocre there are better places in town one hour for delivery and it was wrong then a further 30 for the right food don't think we will order again back to wok u like.

There are 3 or 4 Chinese take aways in Ebbw Vale. I have tried all the others and they range from awful to really bad. Smiling Valley is way above the rest.

The great thing about this take away is that the place and people prepping the food are spotlessly clean. Ingredients quality is high and the curry sauce is the best in South Wales in my opinion.

I have had take-aways from the Smiling valley on a number of occasions. The service and speed of service is impressive but , on each occasion the food has been OK but there is a certain something lacking. There are better take-aways in Ebbw vale.

delicious TakeAway. I have been to many a Chinese throughout the welsh valleys, But I must say, this 1's my favourite. The chef really wants to get it rite for us Welsh over here, I've seen him asking locals to test sauces for him so that he can get the taste just rite for us... Price is good 2!.. I mean... £1.80 for 2 meat spring rolls!.. Come on...
