So rude and have horrible customer service. Won't help or fix it if any of your food is wrong!

My son recommended me to try this chinese takeaway a few months back, and I haven't stop since. We've been ordering once a week since then. The food is delicious and my grandchildrens always ask me to order more for them when we have them staying.

Had a complaint about my order yesterday and called today (monday) to be told the manager isn't in until maybe Saturday! ?? What???

Fantastic food nice and hot great service

First time we have ordered here in a while as our usual Chinese was shut! This was absolutely terrible food! Was dry no flavour and very small portions for the price! As a chef I'm disgusted they can dish this up and be happy with the result!!! Never ever will my family or I order from here again. Last inspection date 2015!!! 🤢

Order and delivery was fine . Duck pancakes were nice but cold The rest of the food was disgusting. Pineapple in a Thai curry, rock hard, chewy squid.. I have eaten here for years worst Chinese I have ever eaten in my 25 years.. Maybe they’ve changed chefs or in tough times throwing anything in .. Never going back

Been ordering from here for approx 18years, getting fed up of now being asked can u pay cash, let’s all pay our taxes yeah. Chips are hard in the middle. Spring rolls are half the size and double the price. Ime done. Greedy Chinese takeaway

just ordered chiken chow mein egg fried rice and beef in scauce , The beef was warmed throu tough and tastead like leather , hardly any scauce so all in all a dry meal ! wont get it from there again they must have changed the chef terrible !

I didn't have an opportunity to rate the food because they cut me off four times when I tried to call them to place an order. If you don't want my business just say so!

Fantastic And delicious food, when I was visiting my family I came to stop and order and the food was phenomenal. Would highly recommend to those who are looking for a delicious and cheap Chinese on the go.

This is by far the WORST Chinese in the world. Order Lamb curry and get sent a very cold beef curry It was beef 100% and special fried rice and get boiled rice with a bit pork and small piece of beef stirred in with rice, tasteless boring bland and forced to spend £18 for this absolute mess they called food. The beef was that bad its climbed out the bin and run away, hope it doesn't go back and get his friends at the Chinese and allegedly they have 5 stars wow wouldn't even give it 1 star. Avoid at all cost.

Ok, firstly appreciate current climate and all efforts to run a business and make a living, however, and it pains to say that this was one of the most disappointing and costly Chinese takeouts I’ve had in many years. Having recently moved to the area we’ve been keen to try out new places and took some encouragement from seemingly good reviews from other people online. On the positive, it was ready quickly, however this may have been to the detriment of the quality of the food. The appetisers at £12 represent poor value for money, 2 small ribs(dry), 2 small quarters of prawn toast, 2 chicken skewers(best part) and a small scraping of seaweed (that was tasteless and i suspect was actually unseasoned cabbage). An underwhelming starter but it got worse. The curries tasted of flour/ thickening agent and had coagulated to the point of being lumpy and gelatinous. The only veg in it were burnt yet undercooked onions that were raw to the taste yet left a burnt flavour afterwards. The saving grace was the meat in the curry which seemingly tasted ok. The fried rice which accompanied it was unfortunately dry and quite tasteless. I’d love to say something positive about this experience but the quality of food was a real disappointment, and the small fortune paid for it was nowhere near to matching what you’d expect, even by average standards. Unfortunately it’s going to take a massive turn around for us to consider returning here at some point in the future, but i wish the takeaway every success in the future and hope this review is taken with the best intention

After an initial poor review, we’ve been back many times and found it to be the hands down best Chinese takeaway we’ve ever had. It must have been a one-off bad day that we had that very first meal. Now, I can’t recommend them enough!

Poor customer service called this evening to order a takeaway, rude and abrupt on the phone shan’t be ordering from them again.

Quite average Chinese takeaway, minimum spend to pay with card

Food tasted way below average. Needed to have a minimum spend of £15 even though we fetched the food!! I feel robbed, twice!

I ordered duck spring rolls (6), Chinese chicken curry, Thai beef curry and mushroom fried rice. I got chicken spring rolls (2), Chinese chicken curry, Thai beef curry and mushroom fried rice. I was going to complain, but the missus was so hungry, we ate what we had. It wasn't a difficult order, so we will try elsewhere next time.

The Best Chinese in the town! Always great taste, and no matter how busy they are your order will be ready within 30 mins, I have never had to wait longer. Always good service!

We always order from here now- it's the best in Tonbridge (tried all)courteous & prompt service,piping hot food delivered, they really do bend over backwards to satisfy your needs - food is absolutely gorgeous fantastic you won't be disappointed believe me. Salt & chilli ribs full of juicy meat& plenty veg,a nice spicy curry - we get extra hot curry it's amazing, chicken fried rice with extra soya sauce, small portion but crammed with sliced chicken breast, lemon chicken crispy & delicious, shredded crispy chicken in chilli sauce just perfect😁 loads of sauce & veg- I could go on & on everything we've tried has been brilliant keep up the good work!! Only downside is their closed Tuesday's 😭 & cash only but well worth a try you'll be hooked to♥️

I haven't eaten from here for years...had one last week as they're are just down the road from us and it was by far the most delicious Chinese I've ever had! And came very quick! Perfect service! Definitely recommend!

We have been ordering from here for over four years , the food has always been excellent, with no complaints, however tonight a mistake was made in our order, and when I rang there was no apology , even worse I was told to put the chicken balls delivered in wrong back in the bag and they would collect them and replace them with our prawn balls. I am most concerned as to why we where asked to do this and as to what they will be doing with the food we returned, it us especially worrying in the heightened covid times that food is being passed back out of our house, even more concerning as to the possibility that it could be re delivered to another house hold potentially passing on anything. To be honest I am disappointed , frightened and very concerned that they seem to think this is acceptable practice especially in present times , it is a shame that I think we will seriously have to think if we were to ever order again as the food has always been outstanding but this is just such a frightening , dangerous practice

Great Chinese!! Speedy, friendly and delicious!! Also lots of veggie options. BUT PLEASE: Can you add a friend for the fish in the tank, or get a bigger tank with more going on?? The tank is right by the till and everyone I know always feels a bit sad standing next to the fish as it's on it's own in a small tank :(

I’ve used May Mei for over 5 years and food is ALWAYS hot and tasty, try the deep fried meat dumplings, you’ll be back for more.

i travel from lamberhurst to get my chinese food from here and all i can say is i think the food from here is excellent and the staff are always very nice

Nothing outstanding to say but it is run by a friendly, hardworking couple. I mixture of Indonesian on the menu but not authentic. Quick service.

Haven’t tried the food but been inside the shop, in the waiting area is the fish tank which is not maintained, only half full and full of algae. If they can’t maintain or clean this imagine the state of the kitchen. On the other hand as well this fish is suffering inside the tank as isn’t kept well, if they won’t do anything about it I’ll be reporting them to RSPCA.

I had heard you can bring your own drinks here because they didn’t have a license. Yet when we arrived they now do you have a license bar. We have not booked but they let us eat for two people me and my son. Food was good again typical Thai very pricey and we only had soft drinks yet it costs a lot more than we would’ve paid in an Indian parking is terrible in that area so you will have to walk if you want to eat there.

This is THE singularly worst experience with a chinese takeaway I've ever had. The food was inedible, completely bland and some bits overcooked so much so my entire family refused to eat it. When we complained to staff wanting a refund for our 30 pound inedible dinner, we were met with argumentative staff demanding I pay them! Refusing to listen because 'reviews don't lie'. After about ten minutes of being accused of being wrong they agreed to a refund minus fuel for the delivery they made...if we drove back to THEM and returned the food. Unbelievable. I cannot stress enough how ludicrous the whole ordeal was, I will not be buying again. I'm still waiting on my refund but if I don't get it I will be leaving consistent scathing reviews until I do. Don't eat here, it's not worth the risk.

Working out of town staying in nearby Premier Inn, bored of the usual pub dinner - I opted to to choose a Chinese takeaway. May Mai garden was a short drive (it was raining heavy!) I was greeted with a friendly smile and very friendly chatter. Opted for my usual - salt pepper King prawn, mushroom fried rice, small curry sauce & salt/pepper chips. Waited 10minutes, as advised by chef. No sooner I got back in the car I couldn’t get into my food quick enough for a quick nibble as smelt bloody lovely!! Arrived back at my hotel room and scoffed the lot. Now sat here smiling whilst writing this and thinking what an absolutely beautiful bit of food, in an unfamiliar location and very friendly people. Price was very reasonable - all in at just shy of £15. I’m certain that the usual pub dinner wouldn’t have this effect! Probably one of the best Chinese takeaways I have ever visited. We were looking for a new go to Chinese take away as the service from our regular restaurant has become poor of late,thought we would order from here in hope to find our hidden treasure and we are so pleased with our find ! The food is reasonably priced arrives within the allocated time and is piping hot ! Staff and drivers are pleasant and u would deffo recommend this Chinese!! Very happy new customers 👍

Great fast good takeaway. Used loads of times and never been let down. Fussy eaters catered for. Arrives hot with polite drivers and would recommend. Never had an item missing. Will keep using. 😀

Some Items of my take away order were missing and only discovered when I returned home. When I called to let the shop know, I was advised that they couldn't offer a delivery of the missing items, only a 10% discount on my next order. I actually only wanted compensation for the dish that was missing and but this was declined. I asked to discuss this with the manager but he or she was too busy to come to the 'phone. This is the second time I've ordered from this take away and an item was missing. I won't be ordering from here again and would not recommend. The customer service and attitude was terrible and the food was not great.

One of the better Chinese takeaways in Tonbridge. A few too many onions in some dishes but overall not bad at all. It's the one I go back to again and again.

Really disappointed, just moved to the area and thought we would try a new Chinese but in comparison to other Chinese in Tonbridge it was awful. Really bad quality and I'm just annoyed I spent so much on it. Wouldn't go there again.

I've been going here for some years now, and have not once had a bad meal. The staff are so friendly and accommodating and if you go in it is very often cooked in less than 15 minutes for you. The food is excellent and I would recommend here to anyone looking for a decent takeaway in Tonbridge that doesn't take your custom for granted (unlike Masterchef on Avebury Avenue).

Just made a late decision to order a takeaway from this Chinese (previously tried on a drunken night walk home) because the cupboards are empty. They advised it would be 30 mins, which wasn't too bad. The food turned up way within the predicted time and every dish was absolutely perfect! Thanks for a lovely last minute meal. We will be back soon. :)

Very friendly service be it over the phone or face to face. The food is always lovely and if being delivered always prompt and with a friendly smile. Nick being a driver that stands out, such a nice man and will do his best to please the customer. Worth a visit!!!!!!!!

I love a good Chinese and this one did not disappoint with the only exception that they took off the most delicious garlic prawns. Good value for money and I will definitely be eating from there again

We have ordered a meal from here a few times and find them very quick and they provide a lovely meal. We even called them one evening and asked for something which wasn't on their menu and they obliged and cooked it for us. We'll return here again.
