New review : The restaurant has improved its food and they accept card payments as well. Old review: Hot and sour soup was very sweet like dessert. Fried rice and Noodles are alright but nearby competition is better. One of the 3 restaurants in Tonbridge that only takes cash. Wonder if it's got something to do with taxes. Upside: Only chinese restaurant in the area that's open after 10pm until 11pm.

I asked for it to be delivered at 18.30and it finally arrived at 19.15 not happy

I ordered food at 18.20 after numerous phone calls to the restaurant i got told its on its way. 20.40 the food arrived. But by this time i wasn’t hungry and time had past. I dont no how your allowed to keep someone’s money with no food. I seriously hope i get a refund.

Best Chinese takeaway in tonbridge, always come back here . The food comes in good portions and has a lot of protein compared to other takeaways which sometimes pack dishes with vegetables. The food is not greasy either, recommend the laksa it tastes very authentic.

Order said 20.40 delivery, changed to 20.55 once I had paid! Now it’s 21.10 and still not arrived… disappointing, will not use again. J

Delivery came on time however the food tasted awful and I had a bad case of Gastroenteritis afterwards Don’t eat from here.

Love Eat, your food is undeniably delicious, but the repeated delays in delivery have become a major issue. Despite ordering at 7:55 pm with an estimated arrival time of 8:45 pm, my food did not reach me until 9:05 pm. When I contacted Love Eat, the conversation was confusing. I was informed that my food was on its way, despite the considerable delay. The representative cited excuses like it being a bank holiday weekend, we are very busy and suggested I pick up the food myself. There was no hint of an apology or attempt to rectify the situation, just a dismissive attitude. As I was speaking on the phone, the driver arrived 21.06 and was apologetic for the delay. However, this is not the first time such delays and unsatisfactory explanations have occurred. This time, it was the final straw. While I love the food, the consistently late deliveries and unhelpful customer service have become unbearable. I am tired of hearing the same excuses from uncooperative team members every time I call. Regrettably, I have decided to stop using Love Eat altogether.

Best Chinese delivery in the area

The food and service here was absolutely disgusting, the portion was not what I paid for. The service from the server was just unwelcoming and very cold. Whilst my food was being served there was residue of rice being thrown on the side, which I found quite shocking. If I never paid for my food I would have left honestly. I wouldn’t recommend this place for alot of reasons, coming from a customer based environment myself I was just highly disappointed with the overall service, just absolutely poor and very distasteful.

Placed an order for an hours time, waited 1 hour 20 minutes and rung them to be told it was on its way. Waited another 20 minutes and rung back to find out they hadn't even started cooking our food yet and that it would be another 30 - 40 minutes. No offer of any discount, no sorry, no nothing. They lied, took the complete piss and ruined the evening food wise. Cancelled order.

Food is fantastic fast delivery

DO NOT USE!! refusing to give my money back because i wouldn’t accept food that was sat waiting for half an hour cold before a delivery driver was assigned!

This shop is recently renovated and it’s my first visit after they reopened. The staff and chefs are Chinese so I ordered chow mien, and I was not disappointed. Piping hot rice vermicelli with lots of flavour, and the prawn toasts were crispy. At this price I cannot ask for more. The till lady was friendly and was delighted when she knew I speak Chinese. We chatted a bit while waiting, and it wasn’t long, around 5 minutes my order was ready.

Regular take out for me. Fresh ingredients, prompt service although sometimes there is a queue of Uber eats / Deliveroo ahead of you. Standard Chinese menu, well prepared.

I love the food here and I have been ordering for some time. I have collected recently as I usually do but noticed that the food container was only half full and considering the price per portion I don't find this acceptable. Would love to keep coming here but will change if I get half portions again.

Since the lady has changed in the front they have now a rude guy who takes orders. Used to get a nice service here. Now it’s horrible. Won’t recommend them anymore. Arrogant guy. Get rid of him soon.

A truly wonderful place to eat from, I have tried many Chinese restaurants in Tonbridge but these guys are truly wonderful! The food is so tasty and delicious not greasy or tasteless and the portion sizes are more then fair and very filling Loved all The food and now have found my local Chinese and will Be returning to try more different dishes ! Best Chinese takeaway outside China. I really mean that . After going to Lings restaurant in London west end which were one best and first in this country over 50 years ago , The food at Love Eat is equal to that restaurant.

Have used this takeaway a couple of times previously since it was fully refurbished. Very clean and hygenic. The food has been very good, but today, I ordered chicken satay which I had expected to be in peanut sauce as is very common with Chinese and Indonesian foods, this time it was not in peanut sauce and the chicken tasted rather rubbery, only with some vegetables. Extremely disappointed and raised my concerns with them over the phone but unfortunately they were not apologetic only to say that if we want peanut sauce, we should have gone for the skewer under the starters whereas the main dish do not have that sauce. Told them that we were not satisfied and explained that other Chinese takeaways did have peanut sauce, then was told that they have customers waiting and the phone was put down! What kind of customer service is that?! Definitely won't go there again. By the way, I wonder why they won't take cards and its cash only compare to other takeaways within the vicinity? May be its some kind of tax avoidance?

Had a wonderful Chinese takeaway with my family yesterday. We are not local and the food was the best we've tasted in a long time. Can't wait to visit the family again.

Amazing! The food is very tasty. The prices are more than fair. You barely have to wait 5-10 min to get your order. Everything is pristine. The design of the place is neat and luminous. You can order online and pay with card or go there and pay with cash. If you "Like" them in Facebook and messenger them, you'll get a £50 voucher to spend in £5 x 10 times when you order >£25. I am addicted to the spring rolls (4x£2.80) and to all the fried rices. I am still having lots to try, because the menu is very extensive... But I am willing to! I totally recommend it! 😊

Good food. Good value. Sizeable portions. Non greasy - good flavours. Veg Spring rolls weren’t great (tasted like they were from Iceland - hope these will be ‘home made’ in the future). I also like that you can see the kitchen on collection - very clean!

I’ve been searching for a decent Chinese in Tonbridge since moving here a year ago. This place is my current favourite! The food is dlcious and isn’t greasy as some places can be.

Tried for the first time, food was ok, most importantly no free prawn crackers, which seems to be standard on big orders

We had such a lovely takeaway here. It was the first time I had been here and it was absolutely amazing! The king prawn chow mein I had and the spring rolls were really yummy. The others really enjoyed the crispy shredded beef! Thank you so much for a great takeaway. I will definitely be back!

I really like the food, crispy chilli beef is actually crispy and the food tastes fresh. First time we ordered it was fantastic and quick. This time we waited 90 mins after the scheduled delivery time for it to arrive, after 2 phone calls. Felt sorry for the delivery lady who had been moaned at all evening by all accounts. Surely there are enough drivers out there in this lockdown time!? No excuse and won’t be ordering again unfortunately. No point in ringing to complain, they have the money already....

Ordered the Japanese teriyaki chicken and crispy spring rolls. Could honestly say the best teriyaki chicken I’ve ever had. Arrived still very hot, presentable and portion sizes were very good. Definitely would order from here again.

Best Chinese in Tonbridge by far! The food is full of flavour and not salty or greasy which always puts me off a Chinese take away. Good quality ingredients especially the king prawn dishes.

Definitely a step up from your run of the mill Chinese takeaway, their Teriyaki chicken, for example, is light years ahead of what people like Waggamama's try to pass off.

Ordered meal for New Years Eve. not delivered on time even allowing for them being busy. telephoned and told busy and further delay. did not arrive. telephoned again. told not even started order-nearly 2 and a half hours later. said they were overwhelmed. Disorganised is the word. Food arrived eventually, very very late. lukewarm and most of it disgusting. Rice dish was fine. sweet/sour chicken, oily sauce and no real taste. chow mein -refused to eat, seemed like reheated. The worse I have eaten. so disappointed. A rubbish end to a rubbish year.

Got back late from an event so decided to order from here instead of cook. Love Eat is open until 11pm most days by the looks of it so it was one of the few options available that late. Food arrived very quickly. Normally when a restaurant says something is spicy I take it with a pinch of salt, however the salt and pepper squid actually delivers on the spice level and it was slightly too much for my partner to handle! Luckily I like a bit of heat so I got the rest of hers. Not too expensive for what you get, and the food is pretty tasty. Would order from here again.

There is room for improvement. I’ve ordered some Kung Po chicken and the sauce was so sweet that I could not eat it! The egg fried rice was good though. The staff is nice so all this considered and the fact that this was the first time I ordered from them, I will give them a second chance.
