WHY MING ARE NOT DOING SUNDAY BUFFET ANYMORE. SHAME IT WAS THE BEST, THE WHOLE FAMILY LOVED IT EVEN THE YOUNG GRANDCHILDREN.STILL GOT SIGN OUTSIDE SO CONFUSING.

Adequate food…good service! Shame it wasn’t the other way around! No star for atmosphere as I had a take away!

Firstly the food was very mediocre, the staff seem like they can't be bothered,.the fish tank in there is disgusting, poor fish! Need a good.scrub! Chairs are dirty, it's dated and tired. Needs a complete refurb, won't be returning.

Absolutely the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. Had a takeaway and the food order was messed up the owner was so rude we ended up having a shouting match. I ended up getting a refund having waited an hour only to be told they didn’t have one of the dishes I’d ordered over the phone. Would never go there again even if it was free.

Pretty average at best. Food arrived super quick suggesting alot of pre-preparing. Food was pretty bland and average, quite small portion sizes. One female member of staff couldn't have been less interested if tried, not a single please/thank you, bordering on rude. I wouldnt return.

Lovely food, look out for the cheeky double up on starters though, asked for a sharing platter, and got billed twice, same with the prawn toast and crispy duck. I will be back but will also not be paying twice if they pull this one on me again

Packed on a Saturday night must mean a good thing the service was very good and the food was also very good classic decor inside nice Chinese.

Visited the Ming while away on business, I enjoyed an ok meal, nothing disappointing or amazing, not a restaurant I could say you must visit but probably would if I was in the area.

A wonderful restaurant to visit and taste some lovely Chinese food. We had a banquet meal for 11 which satisfied us all. Super smooth and discreet staff who are very helpful and respectful. I'd recommend eating here 😁

Excellent food service and atmosphere; just as I remember; lovely evening with friends

On arrival staff struggled to find our booking, once they did we were hurried along to a table that felt "squeezed in". Prices are somewhat above what I'd expect to pay at a similar a la carte restaurant, but not greatly. The quality of the food was somewhat lacking in overall flavour. Drinks were only served in small half pint glasses and the prices seemed expensive for what they were, no options for larger drinks. There was a 10% service charge added to our bill, this was mentioned in the menu but the service level provided didn't seem to warrant this, with no requests for drinks and only one confirmation that our starters were fine. Parking at this location is horrendous! There is a small car park to the rear hardly any room to maneuver, and a single track lane in and out which caused people myself included to have to reverse out onto the busy A20. We ended up paying £3 to park at the nearby premier Inn.

We're staying in a local hotel for the weekend and decided to have a Chinese meal this evening. What a find, we enjoyed the set meal for 2 people. A very tasty and enjoyable meal served by friendly and helpful staff. Lovely clean restaurant that was warm and welcoming. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area again next year.

The last time I came here was 30 years ago! We usually use the nearer one to us (West Malling) but needed one closer to our friends as a halfway point and the Premier Inn is next door. The food was delicious, the service was excellent. Its decor takes you back in time and reminds you of how Chinese restaurants used to be - it is lovely and traditional. Highly recommend.

We hadn’t visited this restaurant for over 15 years. It was one of our favourite places and our regular go to. we were sceptical at first and was wondering whether it was still as good. The answer is yes, it’s still as nice, the service and food are both excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Staying at the Holiday inn near by, looked at the reviews as it looked decent, staff were lovely and ordering was easy and simple I just think the food lacked flavours and was too greasy

Food is pretty greasy but tastes delicious. The decor is wicked! Takes me back to early 90s. Pink toilets, frilled things and typical old school decor. They have actual live fish in an indoor pond. Staff are great and service is bang on time.

We enjoyed a great family meal here at Ming, Borough Green. The six of us had a delicious set meal which was served promptly by friendly staff. The restaurant has its own small car park (unlike the Ming at Welling) which although nearly empty when we arrived at 17.30, was quite crowded when we left at about 19.00. We found it a lovely place with tasty food.

Not from this area staying in a local hotel and food here is amazing would definitely go there again

Used to get a takeaway very regularly with the previous owner, since it has been taken over by a new owner the quality of food has gone downhill. I’ve had burnt crab twice in a row, chewy chicken balls and rubbery prawns as well. Used to be lovely but seems to have gone down hill in recent months.

Random stop for dinner on the way to the channel tunnel, did not regret, food and service was very good

Hadn't visited this restaurant for a number of years. Both the Chinese restaurants within closer distance have to us have shut. Small car park at rear already full when we arrived but there is off-road parking a short walk away. We were seated immediately, drinks and food orders taken very quickly. We had crispy duck starters then a selection of mains. You do need to order a portion of rice per person. All dishes arrived hot and were really tasty. Too full for any desserts. Overall a good evening and we would return.

Staying locally so decided to try Mings. Nice food served quickly by friendly staff crispy beef and special fried rice were tasty and the salt and chilli chips were a great side. I also loved the indoor pond.

I went to Ming's when they opened but moved a little further away from them in 1982. Always took every opportunity to return and loved it. Father's Day yesterday, so as a family of 4 now, I went back. And we will be going back as often as we can. The atmosphere was great. The service Fabulous. AND THE FOOD THE BEST CHINESE FOOD AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By far the worst Chinese I have ever had

I live around the corner and regularly get takeaway Always courteous and fast service with excellent food. I read through some of the one star reviews and all I can say is that this has never been my experience

Some of the views I read of Ming were very strange and wide of the mark of my previous experiences. It is a ‘quirky’ strange Chinese restaurant stuck in a time warp. However, this adds to its authentic charm. Seven of us ate on a large round table with a ‘lazy Susan’. The food in it’s entirety was quite simply superb. Delicious delicious delicious. Served sympathetically quickly and efficiently. Very impressed with our lady waitress’s knowledge of my granddaughter’s wheat allergy. Thank you Ming for a lovely meal.

I have used Ming multiple times over the last 5 years or so and unfortunately it gets steadily worse every time I have a takeaway. Last time I went they were biting off more than they could chew as I had to way about 30 minutes longer than first told for my food and when we came to eat the food it wasn't up to the usual standard. I presume this was a result of rushed cooking and lack of care due to how busy the restaurant was. It's a good Chinese if you're in the area but I'd suggest maybe not the best in the area, especially not on a busy night

Probably the best Chinese food we've eaten BUT we arrived at 6.15 and asked if they had a table. The head waiter replied abruptly that they did but "you got to be out of here by 7.30". You only needed to say you were fully booked rather than rush us through our meal.

This is by far the best Chinese restaurant. We've moved away and still travel here for dinners. Cannot fault the food, speed of service or friendliness

Service was extremely slow. We waited an hour and a half for mains and then had to take the meal home in takeaway boxes rather than eat in the restaurant, as the children were getting tired. Spent £160 on drinks (15 cokes altogether while we were waiting) and food and when we got home to eat the food, the portions were so small it hardly fed 3 of us. Called the restaurant and they didn’t care at all. Rude and disappointed. Will never go back.

First experience of dining here. Was taken by my daughter and her hubby to be as a "treat". Was greeted immediately upon entering by a friendly face and shown straight to our table. Menu's were immediately provided with drinks orders taken efficiently. The courses, from starter to main, were absolutely delicious! Cooked to perfection and nicely presented. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Would absolutely love to return and DEFINITELY will given the opportunity. Highly recommend!

The food was pretty good but not as good as I thought from the reviews. My soup was very nice but I found the special fried rice a bit bland and the kung po wasn't very spicy. The restaurant was clean but pretty dated and I didn't like that they stuck a service charge on the bill when as polite as they were they didn't do anything special and I had 3 different people serving me.

My wife and I haven’t been for a while and we’re pleasantly surprised with the efficiency and smartness of the restaurant. Normally when having a chinese I find the the food too greasy and the batter on the chicken balls more batter than chicken. This food was lightly cooked and had pertly of flavour. It was slightly more expensive than we expected but every dish we tried was worth it. Thank you and we will be back

Restaurant packed, took nearly 40 min to get a beer and that was after a prompt! Food took over an hour for starters but was ok. Main meal warm to cold, you could tell it had been left on the side (Curry had a skin on it and was cold) Not enough staff, they have little or no manners at all…. To be honest, diabolical and it cost nearly £300!!!! The dig in the ribs was we had to pay £25 service charge, laughable….. could of served it better drunk! Never again.

Booked a table a week in advance for 10 people and a high chair for 6pm on New Year’s Eve only for them not to book us in and be very rude when we arrived. Very disappointed won’t be returning.

Ordered sweet & sour chicken with special fried rice for takeaway yesterday and it didn’t taste fresh at all, had a tummy ache afterwards as well.

Met with my famous five friends for our Christmas meal. Started off well, service and food good. Just after 10pm the staff began hovering, when I asked why they advised they closed at 10pm. As I hadn't booked the meal I was unaware of the early closing time. We could not contact our partners to collect us earlier, due to the bad phone reception in the area. The staff ruined our evening with their constant coming to the table to remove plates etc and at one time they even removed the top tablecloth whilst we were still dining. We would never return to this restaurant due to being made to feel that we had over stayed our welcome.

One off the best chineses I have ever had its 7 mins walk from holiday inn cash machine at garage next door if u need cash but they do take card collection only staff very friendly and the food was very tasty would definitely recommend this place

Awful Chinese takeaway and so disappointed. Hubby drove and collected takeaway. We had a meal here when we first met and it was lovely but expensive. Decided to have a takeaway last weekend and the food was vile. It went in the bin. £50 plus and no food. No email address to contact them. Really disgusted and will not return.

We visited just after lockdown; social distancing was still mandatory. However, we were seated less than 0.5 M away from another table. Being led to our table involved being led through a crowded restaurant. We ate and left via the fire escape as it was the shortest and safest path...

Back to how used to be a few years ago with value for your money set menus to choose from and a wide selection of other meals to try.Only downside is parking

We love this place. The staff are lovely and very attentive. The food is delicious too. Our favourite is the roast duck in Cantonese sauce.

Really enjoyed the food. We had set menu number 1 which was £25.50 per person. There was plenty of food and so tasty. Staff are really attentive and so friendly.

Our first time dining at Mings over the Bank Holiday. Lovely people, excellent, friendly service even though we called in without a booking just before 10pm. We ordered 3 fish dishes and all were delicious. The restaurant was very well presented inside. Happy to recommend.

Great food and good service. We stayed at Premier Inn for an overnight stop and chose to have Chinese over Beefeater and Domino pizza because it is quicker, offers more choices and tastier. We had Yeung Chow Fried Rice, Singapore Noodles and Sweet Sour pork. All come under £20 and with a free pawn crackers! Perfect!

Had a minor panic on arrival when they said it was cash only and no cash machine nearby but one of the staff let me transfer payment to him so no problem after all. Food was tasty and very fresh, good variety on menu, a few things you don't usually see as well as the standards. More variety on drinks menu would be good, eg. Only cider was Strongbow in cans. Good covid measures - windows open and most staff in masks.

Booked a table for 12 , staff were slow to take drinks order and inpatient when ordering food. Sharing platters were dry and when asked for a dish to be changed due to it being sub standard the waiter argued and had to be told several times to take it away and have it changed. Main dishes were overall ok, portions size was good. After paying for our bill which was in excess of £ 350 we was then confronted with a aggressive Chinese woman wearing a face mask spouting something in broken English about us not paying. It transpired that we had paid the adjacent tables bill and needed to pay additional monies. The whole experience just ruined the evening for us and on a big numbered birthday. Would we return , No way , staff are rude and you feel like they are doing you a favour eating there.

Went to Mings for our anniversary and was greeted by a waiter wearing a hoodie and a wooly hat.... I kid you not!!.......we were then dumped on a isolated table upstairs and forgotten..............after 25 minutes I went to bar and ordered a bottle of wine.....when the waiter asked what table we were at...I replied.."the one you forgot about"....... the meal was ok but the battered asparagus had no tips just stems..... some Chinese background music would have been nice.... soft jazz didn't seem right.... all in all a bit disappointing!

Ordered a takeaway from this restaurant, most of the food was tasteless, but I must say the Duck Cantonese and the Special Fried Rice was nice. 1/4 aromatic duck was more like 1/8 of a duck ! And I was also charged £9.60 for a pint of lager !!! Extremely overpriced slop won’t be returning

Just picked up a takeaway and it was terrible. Will not be going back there. The chicken in the two dishes we ordered were really slimey, had to Chuck. Wouldnt even feed to my dog! Prawn toast had more bread than prawn. AVOID

Great service and atmosphere, food good but would have preferred if there were more pork dishes on the menu. No chopsticks offered to eat with which I found a little odd. Overall very nice dinner

As always at Ming the food was very good and there was plenty of it. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Pricing seemed very reasonable. The car parking is limited but I've never experienced any problems parking there. The one big restriction, which may deter me from returning, is the lack of easy access toilet facilities.

I have never eaten AT the Ming, but I live nearby and have had takeaway dinners from there at least three times. I have eaten Chinese food all over the world – and this compares with anything I have ever had before. The food is wonderfully tasty, satisfying and beautifully prepared. I also think it represents good value. There is always more than enough if you order the set menus and plenty of variety. I am impressed with the takeaway service and now intend to experience the restaurant itself very soon. Highly recommended.

LOVE this Chinese always get my order spot on it really is one of the best around here. They also cater to all your need no matter how fussy or extra you are! They are a 10/10

Have not been to this restaurant for a couple of years, due to the pandemic. It was nice to visit this Chinese restaurant again. Hasn’t changed, the dishes were tasty well presented and reasonable portions. The service was excellent. Not over cheap, but we did order plenty of food. Well worth a visit

Usually I eat in , but yuk the TAKEAWAY was a disaster the mixed starter was just warm but the ribs looked like they where cooked several days ago at least , the hong kong style sweet & sour was soft and very chewy the Chinese vegetables stir fried was just slops of old soggy veg; we threw nearly all of it away , just a complete wast of money . Never again & I think and could put money on it, it was all microwaved. Very poor.....

We had a sit down meal in August and it was very nice. Basic but tasty and nice. I live the decor and the setting. The waitress and the waiter very grumpy, but that did not bother me. Now in lockdown we ordered a takeaway. The starter ribs very dry and did not taste nice. The sweet sour pork was slobby, food was cold. The rest of the food was tasteless and tasted old. Its sad, but will not order take ways anymore.
