Don’t have takeaways that often but we have always been happy with the food and choice from Happy Garden. Food is always tasty, hot and plentiful. I can honestly say we’ve never had a wrong or missing dish. Cash only. Parking close by.

First time customers recently moved to the area, friendly staff and great food! Not too expensive either, got 7 dishes + prawn crackers for just under £40

It's the best you'll get for miles and miles. I read it said I hadn't been there for three year's, that's Poppycock, I was in there just a couple weeks ago and going there again now.

Recently moved to wrotham and thought we would try out our local Chinese. Happy Garden did not dissappoint everything we ordered was delicious. Nothing was to oily and everything was full of flavour.

We lived in Borough Green for over a decade and then left 5 years ago. Recently we visited friends in the area, and once again had a Chinese from Happy Garden. It was just as good as we remember it. In our opinion, it is one of the best Chinese takeaways in the country, and we’ve visited a few. The satay king, prawns on skewers, and the ribs in honey sauce are just two of my favourites. I used to work and eat in south east Asia a lot. To be honest, some of the dishes there are more attuned for local tastes. Over here we have a British version of ‘Chinese takeaway’ (not to be confused with more expensive Chinese restaurants). Personally Happy Garden is what my wife and I tend measure most British takeaways by. It’s right up there.

Such an underrated restaurant. It's a regular choice for me, which says it all. Don't knock it until you try it.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!! Awful! Rude customer service, snatched money from my hand… told me 30 mins I arrived 40 mins and was told I was early and to “go sit down” the shop had dirty floors - saw into the kitchen and things had just been towered up and just overall disgraceful!! The food I did get was sloppy, tasted reheated. Shall never return! AVOID!!

Food was all heated through in the micro Waze, scorching hot and everything was soggy and stale, shame as I we hadn’t been here for a while to then find out it wasn’t good

Always great quality a bit pricey but you get what you pay for never had a bad meal from here

Very excellent special fried rice, sweet and sour chicken and chicken curry. Beef with ginger and spring onions was also good except added lot of ordinary onion which was spoiling it. Crispy duck if left on bone for one to shred would have been better but pre shredded and heated made it hard. All told have to be selective, but overall excellent Chinese takeaway.

Perfect food as always, we have been using this place for 30 years and drive the 10 miles happily for the best chinese in the area.

Absolutely appalled to find something extra in the bbq sauce. Really put off by this. It’s disgusting 🤢

Every dish is delicious and packed with so much flavour. Portion are very generous. Would highly recommend. Love the team as well.

Delicious food. Decent portion sizes and quality is always consistent. We are pescatarian and there are some lovely choices. The Szechuan style King prawns are really nice. Really recommend this takeaway, it’s worth the drive to pick up.

Ordered this evening it was if it was left overs most went in the bin, pork tough and over cooked ribs inedible Won’t be back

I read the reviews about this Chinese being "expensive" .... they were 30p more expensive for my same order at a recent Chinese in longfield (not sure where these other people are going to give a bad review on price, the price seems about right to me) Having shopped around recently trying to find a new a "new" regular place, I found Happy Garden to be one of the better places I've tried. Polite counter staff (I noticed he even made effort to stress wait time on phone so no confusion!) If I had to be picky the Chowmein was alittle grease and you cant park directly outside but 5* compared to the MANY I've tried locally. Well worth a try

Nice food but very expensive and no delivery, would probably only use again in an emergency. UPDATE... Did use again still very expensive and I'm sure the portions have got smaller. Photo is what you get for just under £20 small Singapore noodle dish, small chow mein dish and some spare ribs..... Absolute rip off

I live West Kingsdown and drive here because it's the best around and the food tastes great not bland like local one

what a lovely chinese i had the beef in shenzhen its my favorite most chinsees wreck it but this place is so authentic qualty meat in all dishes yes its slightly more expensive but well worth the money im now a regular amazing thankyou

Best Chinese restaurant in the area, my Taiwanese partner agrees (if you're Chinese origin they will cook for you).

Friendly family-run takeaway. Big menu with loads of veggie choice which is good. Never been disappointed.

Good quality food at a reasonable price. Generous portions. Service speedy and telephone orders well taken and accurate.

Food is very good - Singapore noodles and crispy chilli beef is my favourite there! Definitely the best chinese in the area! Negatives are that it doesn't take card and doesn't deliver!

Ordered over phone lovely lady answered - was cheaper than i expected but the portions are small compared to else where- but was just the right amount to feed 2 adults - enjoyed meal thank you

My husband and I were passing this little gem on our way home one evening decided to give it a try as we love our Chinease food we live just outside of Ashford Kent well what can I say truly lovely that lovely we decided to return 2 weeks later! Every meal was cooked to perfection and a lot of attention to detail colourful fresh clean dishes and the onion rings well what whoppas! It's a must will be returning soon for a special anniversary takeaway can't wIt!!! Yummy ... Big thanks to the chefs.

I agree probably a BIG mistake to order anything shortly after they open for the evening.I too suspect its at least the previous days food. Had a takeaway of crispy duck and in all honesty it was just bits.Looked like it had been retrieved from the garbage bin.tasted it too.needless to say it was chucked away.

My wife and I use this takeaway and enjoy the selection of dishes available. Always well cooked and sufficient quantities.

Been coming here years now and it never fails! really good food and rarely have to wait more than 20 minutes from ordering to collection! Staff always happy too.

Staff are really happy and the food is so nice. Ordering food is quick when waiting for it or ordering it over the phone. Would recommend any one too go there as iv need going there for a few years.

Probably best not to get a takeaway too soon after opening as I suspect food prepared from the previous day is used. I use this takeaway when I fancy a special treat and as we have two Chinese takeaways in Borough Green we are spoilt for choice. They both serve good food.

This was probably then worst chinese meal I have ever had in my entire life! Crispy duck consisted of miniscule shreds of tepid "meat" the texture of sawdust; pancakes indistingishable from the plastic lids that covered the foil containers; the chicken had nothing in common with any bird that shared its name - no flesh, just strange twisted lengths of something akin to tripe; shezhuan prawns served in cold fatty water; "egg" rice covered in brown grease etc etc...Only item vaguely edible was pork ribs - ok until lifted out of foil pot, when the entire "sauce" came with it, like gloopy brown elastic. Expensive to start with, but we binned the entire lot after a few mouthfuls, rather than risk food poisoning! Revolting!

I recommend the crispy chilli beef it's amazing! Great chinese. Poor parking tho but use derelict pub car park over road
