Had home delivery. Very good quality food and tasty. Had the munch box very good value for money.

Ordered a NYE takeaway at 7:30pm. At 10pm, after calling them several times to chase the order I got a phone call to say that they couldn’t make my order because they were too busy. Why wait 2 1/2 hours?! And the man that rang me to say that they couldn’t t make my order was so nonchalant it was in believable! I have ordered from them for years but I won’t be ordering again!!

Polite, friendly staff. The food is really good and I’ve never had a bad meal from here. Delivery is very fast and the food is always piping hot. No card payment on the premises, but you can pay via card online. Our favourite Chinese takeaway when we’re in the area!

Ordered food and went to pay in cash ( cash only in store) to be accused of giving him fake notes… making it very awkward even after we told him to use a pen on the note he still kept staring at us and the money. The food was awful we had half cooked chips the curry sauce lid wasn’t on properly and leaked all over the bag and other food.

I’ve tried all the local Chinese takeaways recently and this one stood out as the best by quite some distance for both quality and taste. Crispy chilli beef and Singapore vermicelli were particular highlights.

Quality food, you get alot, more than your moneys worth, chicken curry & egg fried rice can feed two of us, lovely 🍛

Food came really quick and knew very quickly why . Chilli beef was absolutely disgusting tasted like been cooked in oil that had been there for weeks. Wanted to throw up me and my partner have ordered in the past but this was disgusting . When called up to express my concern was offered free food the next time . After spending alot of money on this food I was far from impressed . Women on phone was rude will never order from there again . Disgusting food. And poor service when rang to complain . I would really think twice about ordering from here . She knew what I was on about as trying to tell me that crispy chilli beef doesn't get fried in oil. WOW. Very disappointed and will never be a customer again . After ordering many many times before .

Only discovered Gourmet San recently, been looking for a good Chinese takeout for a while, but at last I found just what I was looking for. Very polite staff, and beautiful well cooked food, WELL DONE!! Can't wait for my next takeout, thank you 👍😋.

Im a regular and I just ordered a menu with bottle of water, I haven't received my water! Last week I've been waiting for my order, an hour. Not really happy with this. If this keeps going on, I'll have to find a better place!

popped here en route home to grab dinner! worth knowing: cash only (which is totally fine, machine is just up the road) food was absolutely delicious, good portions, and the lady was really sweet about me asking to switch about my set meal to have a veggie main. will definitely go back :)

All the food was very good indeed, highest quality cooking and ingredients, one of the best Chinese meals I've had. The cost of the meal seemed surprisingly low for high quality food like this and with delivery too. And I'm not complaining about that, or was exceptional value!

This is the best Chinese in Cheltenham. I have tried many in town, but the quality and freshness is excellent. Never had a problem and recommend this place to all my friends and family. Beef with ginger and spring onions and crispy chilli beef beat all others I have tried in 10 mile radius of home.

Service was extremely quick. I soon discovered why. The chicken was so undercooked, actually pink with giblets still hanging from it. I drove back to return it . She argued that the 'pink' on the chicken was from the beef. She became a bit stroppy but eventually agreed when she noticed me videoing, to refund my money. No - I will not risk to buy food from there again.

Good food & a lot of it. A bit pricey but good value for the amount you get. Avoid the wontons as ours were burnt to a chrisp.

New customer to Gourmet San, - (having previously used a competitive take -away, and had a few bad meals !!) We decided to try these guys based on reviews on trip advisor. Thoroughly enjoyed our take -away meals and will definitely use again. I would definitely recommend.

Love this place! Have used them for years and is the best Chinese in Cheltenham in my humble opinion. The Yeong Chow Fried Rice is my staple dish, and love the Crispy Shredded Beef and the noodle dishes. I'm a fussy eater, and everything I ask for is always delivered without issue (no peppers in this, no prawn in that, add chilli to the noodles, etc). They are awesome. Delivery service is also super, and 9 out of 10 times arrives earlier than expected! If you've not tried these guys before, try them tonight!! 😊

We always get out chinese from Gourmet San! The double happiness is a personal favourite of ours and my boyfriend also love the satay chicken! Delivery is always on time (or early sometimes!) and food is always hot. They’ve never missed anything that we’ve ordered and are much better than any other local take away’s that we’ve tried!

It was OK but was just pre-cooked reheated food. I doubt I would use again.

I think you would struggle to find better Asian food anywhere in Cheltenham,their special vermicelli is the best. You need to try it.

We lived in China, so our standards are quite high. We've tried literally every Chinese restaurant in Cheltenham and Gourmet San is *definitely* the best! Their shredded duck is to die for as are dumplings and all the main dishes we've ever ordered. Every now and then we go somewhere else just to see what's on offer but we always come back to Gourmet San because they are, quite simply, the best! Xie xie!

Great vegetarian options, really tasty too! The guy who usually works on the desk is always really friendly!

I don't get Chinese often, in fact this was my first in several years (after a poor experience somewhere else). However this place has reinvigorated my hunger for decent Chinese food. Reasonable price and good food. We had duck chow mein, mixed meat chow mein, duck won tons and mixed meat sweet and sour balls. Absolutely lovely.

Amazing food, great price and wonderful service. I used to order to collect but have since moved and the food delivered is just as fresh and hot as when I collected. House and chef specials are amazing quality and great value for money even if you are buying on a budget. I moved here 8 years ago and tried nearly every Chinese in Cheltenham and they cannot beat Gormet San on quality, price or customer service.

We had a takeaway last night, 2 dishes not even ordered! Didn’t taste to good, so we left most off it, 3 am this morning my partner and I were sick, we have been ill all day!!! It was there food, when I rang to ask for refund and to explain, she wasn’t interested!!!! Said I’d get free food next time! No thanks won’t be a next time!!!! Vile you have lost a one loyal customer for many years..... days work lost also!!!! Don’t go !

Awful service! Would not recommend! 1 hour late, delivery driver rude. Said he delivered we have a ring bell with camera, nothing on there. Absolute disgrace of a company. Do order from here

Always use Gourmet San for Chinese food - sure I read somewhere that they do not use monosodium glutamate which swayed me as I'm prone to migraine. Food is always delicious and plentiful.

It's been my local Chinese takeaway for 5 years and it's up there with the best 2 or 3 in Cheltenham in my view. Always quick service and never had any complaints with it .

Just saw them storing the chicken, veg and other ingredents right in front of the toilet inside the store. 😷

Dreadful disappointment. The hot and sour soup was so bland that DH only ate one spoonful. Fried rice and Singapore noodles OK but nothing special. Spicy crispy chicken was acceptable - bit too sweet. The Beef with ginger and spring onions and the "House special" Wandering Dragon were tough to tell apart; boxes of grey, watery, unappetising slop that tasted similar too. Only cash taken. Won't be going back. Perhaps they had an off day?

This is our favourite Chinese takeaway in Cheltenham. They have delicious dim sum AMAZING huge spring rolls and really good mains. They always deliver hot tasty food super fast and their delivery staff are always super friendly and polite.

Bad food poisoning lasted 5 days - AVOID

Placed order online and never received an order confirmation. Order still pending in their online portal after 1.15 hours. Called but no answer for last 20 mins

My go-to Chinese takeaway. Nothing particularly fancy, but reliable, good food, which is always delivered on time or sooner than expected. I love the meal options where you can get two starters, a main, and rice for £10. The delivery staff are always really friendly and chatty.

I’ve had a few meals from the Gourmet San I all the food has been of a high quality many of the meals are made from fresh ingredients and are cooked to perfection, meals always arrive on time…I would happily give the 5 stars.

Waited an hour for delivery but then got a call from Gourmet San saying the driver had attempted to deliver and couldnt so they were cancelling my order. No driver had knocked at my door and wouldnt attempt to redeliver. Awful service.
