A very comfortable room, with friendly and helpful hosts. A choice of breakfasts either cooked or continental. We had the continental which had a large warm croissant and a lovely selection of fruit, together with homemade yogurt which was delicious. Everything you would want in a B&B

The beer selection for a real ale drinker like myself wasn’t great as they only had Doombar on draught. However the Madri went down well. The Chilean Sauvignon Blanc was quite bland and unfortunately there was no New Zealand alternative. My wife and I had the Cod and Sea Bass which were great; huge portions. The service was very good. Recommend.

Cream tea dose not include tea, but don't worry if you forget you will be abruptly told. Scones were not traditional scones, no fruit and more a large biscuit. Avoid asking for any jam other than strawberry as this causes problems and more dirty looks. Brie and cranberry panini and homemade coronation chicken baguette were both delicious. The sign saying piss off should maybe be turned around towards, as others have mentioned, the very surly woman serving. On saying goodbye and thank you she simply glared at us.

We have had great chips here in the past, yummy curry sauce and catch of the day fish. But during our weekend stay just couldn't find out from anywhere when they would be open. 😟 Common you can really do better! It's 2023, even if you change your hours spontaneously you can still post it, it only takes 1 minute .

Visited the new restaurant scoops today and was looking forward to a lovely treat. First off the welcome by the gentleman who served us can only be described as he wasn’t bothered about us being there. I ordered a Nutella crepe, on arrival it was placed in a triangle cardboard container. I can only describe it as a thick pancake. I asked the said gentleman if it came with anything as the picture I saw had cream and strawberries. He was quite abrupt in saying well what did you think it came with? And stated they were add ons . The cost of the dessert was £3.79 and on leaving I checked the menu and it should have come with whipped cream. Quite honestly it felt like an inconvenience to him that we were there. I shall not be returning.
