Cream tea dose not include tea, but don't worry if you forget you will be abruptly told. Scones were not traditional scones, no fruit and more a large biscuit. Avoid asking for any jam other than strawberry as this causes problems and more dirty looks. Brie and cranberry panini and homemade coronation chicken baguette were both delicious. The sign saying piss off should maybe be turned around towards, as others have mentioned, the very surly woman serving. On saying goodbye and thank you she simply glared at us.

Great location in the heart of this lovely village. Toasted currant teacakes were excellent and the prices for snacks and drinks were very competitive. It's a really lovely place with lots of quirky touches, but got the impression that there is no real welcome for the customers. May be wrong, and it would not stop me re-visiting.

We asked if we could move some tables as there were several tables of two but none for four, which was our group size. I understand it’s a small venue but there was a flat no, no attempt to see if we could make do either inside or outside or come back later and lady in charge surly and couldn’t have done any less, not even a smile, turned her back to ignore us. Younger lady working there looked terrified. This is not the first time I’ve failed to eat here, won’t be bothering the miserable owner again, having worked in hospitality, not sure why she does. Luckily plenty of other options in Laugharne.

A good selection of food at very reasonable prices. Our Welsh Rarebit served with some pickle and a small salad was very tasty. The dessert choices were very good too. We would have loved another visit but our stay was only short. Luckily we had cash on hand as the Wi-Fi was very intermittent.

Very busy cafe, and very little room indoors. The sandwiches and cakes looked inviting We only popped in for coffee & we were not considering eating , however once we saw how busy it was, we couldn’t justify sitting at a table without eating, therefore we added cake to our order. There was an issue with the Wi-Fi signal which delayed payment however, the surly looks from the ladies serving were not inviting and you would have thought I was abusing them when I asked for a fork with my cake. The lady I felt was spoiling for a fight, in fact at the till there is a sign which states p**s off we’re busy which doesn’t imbue confidence and I thought perhaps it was a joke as there were more signs stating they preferred animals to humans but I’m not sure, I think they delighted in being rude after all there are plenty of visitors to fill the cafe. I’d like to say the cake was good but my Victoria sponge was burnt, dry and disappointing although the sandwiches looked delicious? It’s not top of my list to return again .

We visited this lovely tea room for lunch with our 1.5 year old daughter. The staff were really accommodating, friendly and chatty and I enjoyed their dry humour. The other people there were also really friendly and seemed to be local. The food - cawl was excellent, I had Welsh rarebit which was delicious but only one slice - more than enough for me but some may expect it to be a bit bigger for £7ish. I ordered off menu for my daughter and they did a lovely ham sandwich for her (even offered to cut the crusts off which was really sweet) with excellent ham and lovely bread. The apple juice is to die for, would recommend! They provided a clean high chair. Didn’t use the facilities so can’t comment on them. From what we could see, everything looked clean while maintaining a slightly rustic, cosy feel. Overall good value for money. We would love to return soon!

Stopped off for lunch, ordered 2 toasted cheese sandwiches, 1 with onion, 1 with pickle, found it hard to find the pickle, a few crisps on the side, a boring plate of food. Some salad would have been nice, adding some colour to the plate, just like you show on your website !!

The lunch menu has a great selection of items & a number of delicious cakes are always available & all delicious. The ladies that work here work extremely hard & have great “banter” with each other & the customers. It’s always very clean, welcoming & dog friendly, what more could you want?

Food was really good , it’s a shame the outside of the building belies the inside . Also the toilets left a lot to be desired,I always say you judge an eating establishment by the cleanliness of the toilets . Great named Tea Rooms, and quaint look from the outside. Had a feel of a tearoom inside, which some tearooms don’t capture and tend to just feel like a cafe- so success on that. Slightly unfriendly staff, but warmed on more discussion/chat. Great location, near Dylan Thomas’ sight seeing destinations. Hot drinks great. Food, okay. Felt slightly grubby in there though and cluttered. Underlying style with the sofas was nice. Toilet wasn’t great. Reasonably priced though.

Walked in at 4.20pm to be met with "do you want Coffee Cakes' to which we replied yes please only to be told instant coffee only. Wow gobsmacked was not the word, apparently they had cleaned the coffee machine which is no interest to customers anyway. Cleaning a coffee machine involves rinsing the pod basket and cleaning the milk wand Wow again this takes no more than 5 minutes at most oh and maybe a wipe down, no big deal and turning away £10 minimum is not good customer service.Wont go back there again on principle, what a disappointment. The best bit was to be told "we do lovely coffee though" pointless reassurance.

Again I visited but this time minus Stella the Staffie. Very welcoming and I had the chicken curry. My friend had spicy hotpot. Neither of us were disappointed, this little place is the highlight of my visits to Laugharne. Very friendly and always a warm Welsh welcome.

Had a quiet meeting for a coffee with a friend. Staff were helpful, prices reasonable and time to chat. Enjoyable.

Stopped off here for lunch with my elderly mum and was pleasantly surprised. Whilst the seating was adequate the staff were very friendly and cleared vacated tables promptly. The drinks and food menu’s had plenty of choice and I decided to have the jacket potato with chicken curry which came with a salad garnish. The portion was great and the chicken curry was delicious…mum had a toasted sandwich which came with a small salad, coleslaw and some crisps. Both very reasonably priced and would not hesitate to recommend if you are looking for a lunch time bite. We will return.

This was a great spot for lunch! We stopped off on spec and I was pleased to see vegan options. I had the vegan burger which was lovely. My parents had the chicken burger and the gammon, and they were equally pleased with the food, the portions and the service. I also had a vegan crumble tart with custard which was delicious! Overall a very pleasant experience, although prices were a little on the high side.

So disappointed, wanted large cod and large chips. Had a lot of batter and had to look for cod! The young man thar served then just put a few chips on the tray! Paid for large! I'm a local person and will go to George from now in. What a shame!
