Garden Centre was quite good. Cafe made a great coffee, but the cakes were hard to eat - a couple of days old, maybe. Will visit again, but will miss out on the cake.

Young man was helpful picking plants to make up a planter for our sons grave. We had a pot of tea in the cafe, enough for three mugs full plus a cake for the wife (hang the diet) and a dish of chips, mmmm, for me. Definitely 5 stars.

Small but interesting place. Concentrates of plants and gardening unlike most Garden Centres, these days, that are almost like shopping malls or convenience stores.

Very poor unfriendly welcome in the cafe! Advertises breakfast and yet doesn’t cook a sausage. Quality of planting was ok but not fantastic. Saving grace was the sale and the advice from the chap in the shop!

Haven't been here for many years. Lots of lovely new things including artificial flower arrangements, sun-catchers, ornaments and garden furniture!

What a lovely find. The cafe is excellent with friendly and helpful staff. A brilliant selection of cakes and brownies. I had a caramel frappuchino and it was fab. Well worth a visit.

Quality plants, reasonable prices, helpful staff, the tea rooms are extremely clean and very pleasant, they make a very good ham and cheese toastie, I would recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed

A very well spacious stocked garden centre with helpful staff. Easy parking and vg home cooked lunches and bakes in the comfortable tea room . Worth a visit whether local like us or passing trough.

Great place for all your garden items.

The garden centre is only a few miles away, and they have a wonderful selection of plants, shrubs and trees. Also all you need for the vegetable garden, and more in the shop. There is also tea rooms beyond the shop, but this is only open when COVID restrictions allow.

Not much in stock at all. Nothing out of the ordinary. Very disappointing visit. Very expensive compared to other nurseries too.

I e mailed them asking if they had certain plants,they NEVER REPLIED.Whats the point in giving an e mail address for contact and never rsponding

Didn't go there just walked past.

Seems to be running stock down, dead plants and weeds outside, hardly any trees. Shame as has could be good with display garden attached. Appreciate difficult times but if plants are not up to scratch they should be either taken out and rescued or sold at discount in Sale area, not dragging down the rest.

Visited this garden centre today, very upset by owners rude comments. He was no help at all. Left feeling very upset. RUDE, BAD MANERS, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, ABRUPT not a nice experience sadly

A lovely place to browse around with helpful staff and they have a great cafe with a great choice of food

Went here this week on a cold, wet and windy day so loved walking into the cafe and feeling the warmth from the log burner. Equally matched by a warm and friendly welcome from the staff. Food excellent.

Great breakfast amazing sausages and very well presented. Served us at 12 as we were working near by . Even though they stop serving g breakfast at 12. Well worth a visit

Throughly enjoyed Sunday lunch here, with a lovely garden centre to browse through. Staff were lovely and food a superb. The place is clean, light and relaxing, with very reasonable prices. Having courgette amongst the green veg made for a very nice change. Meat was think plentyful & extremely tasty. Beautiful gravy & good choice of sides. The desert of homemade chocolate mousse was simple & yummy. As was the homemade brownies and ice cream. The large cake display looked amazing. Highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Just back from having a lovely lunch at the restarurant. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.It was a horrible wet day outside, but the biomass stove made the room nice and cosy. The food was excellent and we look forward to 1st December . when their home made mince pies start to become available Last year we bought lots and to stop us eating them all at once we froze a lot and they came out just as nice.

The staff will help you as much as they can. Always go there.

Decent parking available and well presented premises when visiting May Day week. Best leek and potato soup ever but a limited menu in the Plum Tree compared to previous visits. Healthy plants on display and a good selection of bedding through to perennials. Four stars

Visited last Sunday for lunch, sadly it was desperate. Food similar to motorway cafe quality. Probably pre-cooked and reheated. The rare and well-done beef were identical. Didn't stay for desserts, they looked very un-appetising. Didn't complain as we had a guest with us and just wanted to leave as fast as possible. Truly disappointed as we'd expected so much better. The waiter was pleasant and friendly. This place will surely struggle to survive when there are plenty of other decent places around. May be good for other meals or snacks but avoid this one for Sunday lunch.

We haven't been here for a few years, and now found there have been changes - all for the better. The place is now light and airy, with a new decor. We stopped in at the end of the day for a latte and cake, so did not get to appreciate all it was offering, but won't be afraid to go back in the future.

We came across this Garden center almost by accident but it really is a little gem . We had Sunday lunch in their Plum Tree cafe and it was one of the best roasts we have had for a long time. It certainly is a place to be recommended.

Nice walk around the village culminating in a visit to the Garden Centre. Dog friendly and helpful staff. They even ordered in extra artificial flowers for my daughter's wedding last year and nothing was too much trouble for them. They have an exhibition garden that you can walk around which is also lovely

We had a lovely Christmas lunch, Roast turkey with an excellent choice of fresh vegetables, sumptuous gravy, followed by homemade Christmas Pudding, followed by coffee and homemade mince pies. Lovey surroundings and great service

We had delicious freshly prepared ham & mushroom omelettes served with a smile in the lovely clean and welcoming cafe today! The family team at this garden centre are always, knowledgeable & helpful if we require any gardening advice. Highly recommended!

Garden centre is fairly low on stock and items. The cafe is new and to be honest has a long way to go. The coffee was bland as was the fruit teas. No gluten free available even though we were assured they had gluten free on offer. Won't be back

Only went for the cafe but it had changed and was only restricted to sandwich type snacks when they always served very good all day breakfasts. Disappointed at this visit,

Friendly staff and a selection of good value and quality plants

Been working nearby recently and decided to stop for a coffee & sandwich. To be fair it looks great (I cant understand anyone saying otherwise?), has both indoor & outdoor seating, and the food (a breakfast in this case) was up there with the best I have had. It was really good and whoever the Chef is clearly knows his stuff. The staff were fine & chatty to me, often the miserable customers are the ones who complain as its hard to be nice to awkward customers. I was really surprised, and ina pleasant fashion. In true Arnie style, Illl be back.

Not a lot of plants on the day I went. They said it had been busy!

Nice place to have a wander looking at plants and garden equipment and they have an on-site cafe where we had lunch. This place is gently being restored and as a result is becoming a pleasant place to visit. The food was nice too. We had sandwiches and hot drinks. The tea is proper loose leaf tea which was fab.

Our Sunday lunch was very good ,and taste. And the amount on the plate was just right. But I must say the atmosphere of the room was poor,IE uninviting feeling staff.Staff were very poor in not engaging with the customers. Not one of the smiled, They came across as if they could not care, uninterested, and seemed a little aloof. They need training in there awareness with customers,and them self. They also came across as unaprochable. The room itself was clean and tidy,but it lacks a welcoming feel. This has not turned me off. I will give it another go. Just hope staff improve. No complaints on the food. Food was good. Will try another day and time. Did not like the TV what's the point. It's really out of place.
