My friend and I wanted a quick lunch and saw this little cafe at the end of the beach. We ordered 2 toasted sandwiches to take away as there were no seats available. Paula Walter's and Philip were welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. We were able to chose whatever filling we wanted and chose ham cheese onion and tomato. When seats became available at no extra charge Philip and Paula served our sandwiches on a plate with cutlery. In fact the sandwiches were served with crisps and salad we could have shared one. I would recommend this lovely little cafe

Came in for breakfast. Was looking forward to it aswell ..wish we would of gone else where. Owner was so rude and waitress wasn't much better. He was banging around in the kitchen and slamming plates down. This man has a huge attitude problem. Breakfast was cold. Blackpudding was solid and eggs looked like he layed them.Would never go here again. I wasn't the only one with this point of view when I was in there eather..If you want an overpriced and terrible breakfast visit point cafe.

One of our annual pilgrimages when visiting Wales - beach walk, lunch then more walking. Always great food and drinks in proper china. Hot freshly cooked chips followed by a delicious ice cream from a wide choice. Only one small fly in the ointment yesterday which has never happened before - the waitress must have been stressed by the sheer numbers visiting as she didn’t seem happy to serve us, slamming down our cups on the table. Not sure what we did wrong but felt very uncomfortable. Just an off day maybe?

If you're looking for a no-frills cafe with tasty wholesome food and a friendly service this a great place to eat.The decor is typical seaside cafe, but it's family friendly, directly off the beach with good views from window side tables. The menu has a good variety with even a Sunday roast available and you can watch it being prepared due to the open kitchen.we had between us a roast, all day breakfast, jacket potato, fish & chips and kids meals which were all really good.

First, we sat and had coffee outside, watching the tide flow out over Pendine sands and then back in. We watched the lifeguards move their flags in, then back out as people paddled, or waded, out into the water. Then, that stay extended into lunch while the teenagers checked out the beach stores. We had a vegan in our company, so the baked potato and beans was perfect, and the rest of us also enjoyed a variety of fillings of baked potatoes, all at a very reasonable price for a family of five out for lunch. The coffee and cake deal is also excellent value and the custard slice comes in at a scale far more generous than I have had experience of back home. (Scotland, please take note!) They make a great latte, and the service was efficient and friendly. We were lucky enough to be able to sit outside today, overlooking the beach, but there is indoor seating for days that are not quite so warm and sunny!

This last week I dined with my wife, son and 2 grandchildren at the Point cafe. Apart from a couple having coffee we were the only other table occupied. I knew we were in trouble when the waiter taking our order was completely perplexed when we asked what the soup of the day was. It really went down hill from there. The Soup seemed to have jumped out of a can with a couple of mushrooms thrown in. After asking for bread rolls we were served Baps covered in flour. The main course double burger with cheese and chilli beans were almost warm obviously hadn’t been in the MICROWAVE long enough.Having left most of the meal we decided to order some ice cream desserts, but it was impossible to attract a waiter to the table. It seemed they were professional in the old eye avoiding method. The table was not cleared in anyway during the 45 minutes our son and I sat there whilst my wife took the grandchildren for a walk along the beach. This is a wonderful position for a food venue, but I would guess that no one working in this establishment has any financial involvement in the business.I would suggest if you wish to sit and enjoy the view just have a beer.

Absolutely huge menu for a cafe - which never bodes well in my opinion. How many 32oz steaks can they sell?! I was unimpressed with my BLT sandwich on boring sliced white bread and chucked on the plate - bacon wasn't even crispy. Service was a bit abrupt. Dogs not allowed indoors. The best thing about this place is probably it's position overlooking the beach

The customer service from the girl was really poor. Not only ourselves but whilst sitting there an elderly person requested to use a toilet but because she was sat outside the girl was really put out that she was going to use it. Next another couple asked if they served proper coffee to which the girl replied "no" if you want a proper coffee there is a coffee shop around the corner !!!Food - hubby had battered sausage & chips which he enjoyed - however I ordered a cheeseburger @ £3.25 - it came just a burger, cheese slice and a dry bun. No salad - and when asked for some sauce or relish to give it some moisture was charged 20p for 2 cheap sachets of ketchup. To top it off the burger was a cheap one. The Point Cafe is situated in a lovely corner on Pendine Beach seafront. It has so much potential but Pendine is a sleepy little place, there are other places for refreshments and I don't think there are enough customers to make this place a commercial success. The 'greasy spoon' type menu put me off ordering any food, so I just had a coffee. The chap in charge, owner I suspect, was constantly discussing with another customer how much he disliked the place and was likely to sell up soon. Hardly the sort of thing that gives much inspiration and certainly not what should be discussed within customers earshot. The place desperately needs a refurbishment and change of layout and decor, maybe there is enough trade if the right market can be created but I fear it won't last long as it is.

Nice friendly staff but really bad microwaved food. Frozen chips (despite being told they were 'proper chips' when I asked), nuked lasagne, cardboard burger, disgusting curry. I also thought that it was quite expensive for what it was. I did know it might be bad as I'd been a few years ago and it was the same then!!! Its a shame as there's such a lovely view and it could be amazing. Oh and they didn't have a toilet (which is illegal) so my son had to walk all the way back to the disgusting public toilet the other end of the beach. I won't be going back again until I forget how bad the food is every time I go there!!

Brilliant seafood starters. Cosy atmosphere and great service. Varied menu encompassing Welsh specialities and tasty pub grub, nice cold beer and soft drinks. Stopped off here for lunch with my elderly mum and was pleasantly surprised. Whilst the seating was adequate the staff were very friendly and cleared vacated tables promptly. The drinks and food menu’s had plenty of choice and I decided to have the jacket potato with chicken curry which came with a salad garnish. The portion was great and the chicken curry was delicious…mum had a toasted sandwich which came with a small salad, coleslaw and some crisps. Both very reasonably priced and would not hesitate to recommend if you are looking for a lunch time bite. We will return.

My parents had the chicken burger and the gammon, and they were equally pleased with the food, the portions and the service. I also had a vegan crumble tart with custard which was delicious! Overall a very pleasant experience, although prices were a little on the high side.

Nice and clean coffee show with fresh looking food. However, the 2 cappuccinos we ordered were not quite hot enough for our liking. The staff were friendly enough considering the whole store was freezing cold! We noticed that all the staff (not that there were that many of them there) had coats on, which must be very unpleasant having to work under those conditions. The store has definitely deteriorated since my last visit, which is such a shame, but it certainly wasn’t a nice experience walking around, in the cold, dodging the strategically placed buckets catching the dripping water. C’mon Leekes….you are better than this!!
