Absolutely lovely county homely pub . Leah and paul are so very welcoming and canāt do enough . There was an outside mobile food event the evening we went but there were no vegetarian options so Leah insisted she do a special dish for me . My vegi burger was the best Iāve ever had and the presentation and sides were fantastic . There was a band playing . Great atmosphere, great pub , well worth eating there . We will be back ā¤ļø

My wife and I had a light lunch here recently and were very pleased with the service and the food. Would highly recommend the poached eggs and smashed avocado on toast. Excellent and friendly service.

We shared 6 Vegetable dishes for lunch today, plus a pud, and every mouthful was sensational. The dishes were complex and delicious, and very satisfying. It is difficult to find good vegetarian food that I canāt cook equally well at home. These dishes really were better than anything Iāve cooked, and there was plenty of choice. Plenty of choice for carnivores too. The chefs really know how to squeeze the maximum flavour out of every ingredient. The celeriac dish was my favourite , but we couldnāt decide which was our second favourite plate of deliciousness. Weāll be back.

Room lighting was a little iffy. Well decorated. Outwhat's the minimum for charging devices? Water in the room a couple of breakfast options available with a meal. Hotel was unavailable from the street until four p m, fact that no one communicated to us, Nor did anyone advise to pull into one of the upper street parking lots and walked down and Sort out how baggage would get there. A good news is they have WI. Fi. The bad news is it's unsecured so you really can't use it. No elevator always a problem with old british hotels, can prepare to leave your bags in the car.

We recently took my elderly parents for afternoon tea because they had visited often in the past when they were independent. We met Kevin who was absolutely delightful and brilliant at helping them both, particularly as my Mum was in a wheelchair. His service and care was exceptional which made it easy and enjoyable and Mum and Dad loved chatting with him, he went the extra mile to make it extra special and the cakes were indulgent!

Me and the kids went y'day and were greeted by 2 lovely big smiles (from the man in charge and a young lady), and were given the biggest portion of cheesy chips carefully layered for maximum taste! Great customer service and great food. Thank you. We were impressed! š

Our recent visit left much to be desired, marred by a series of disheartening lapses in both service and ambiance. To begin, the individual who took our order seemed bewildered by the mere mention of alternative milkāa basic expectation in todayās dining standards. The beverage selection was equally uninspiring. To our dismay, Earl Grey, along with any other quality teas, was notably absent, replaced instead by the most pedestrian option: Tetley. The vegetarian breakfast was a particular letdownāserved cold and woefully undercooked. Such careless preparation only compounded the disappointment. The service was mechanical at best, with staff who appeared disinterested, their lack of enthusiasm perhaps reflective of the dreary weather outside. The atmosphere was further dampened by an uninspired music playlist and insufficient lighting, which together created a rather bleak dining environment. While the service was notably swift, one couldn't help but feel that this efficiency came at the expense of quality and careāan unfortunate trade-off. Thatās okay. It did the job :)
