Visited with another family for Sunday lunch - we were staying at a campsite up the valley. This is a “proper” British pub - lovely old building, welcoming atmosphere, decent ales, and hearty, well cooked food. With three 13 year olds in tow, we asked whether the kids portions would be suitable - they definitely were. Will be coming back.

Down a small alley way. You could easily walk past given the bustle of the high street. But these small places need and deserve a big up in these tough times. Charming and extremely helpful barman . Its a small quirky place really geared to ale/beer/ IPA but we drank spirits on our brief stay. We come from cosmopolitan Brighton and we like supporting places like this. So give it a try if you are visiting. Just a cute little place trying to do its thing. Support it. The natives are very friendly in Wrexham !

We tried a selection of products from here including a sausage roll, large oggie and a pie. All were excellent, pastry and filling alike and good value, especially as we bought multiple items for which a discount is offered. Recommended

We had a lovely family get together at The Kings Mills, pleasant staff and reasonably priced food. We also met someone called Gary, must be different to the guy in the previous review because he wasn't short and was quite jovial, our family were welcomed by all the staff and customers, and will be back soon. We visit the area fairly often.

While killing time in Wrexham stumbled across this little cafe tucked away at the entrance to a arcade which leads to Wrexham Indoor Market. The patisserie is on street level but upstairs there is a little cafe which served a delicious breakfast just as your mum would make you when you were a schoolboy. Big chunks of toast followed by scrambled eggs. The coffee was excellent all for less than £10.

Went to the restaurant in very happy mood. Think the waiter, named Peter came to our table to say that he is serving us today. We gave our order. The starter was pork belly which was excellent! And then main course - as per the picture. The fish was absolutely no bland! I literally do not use any salt in my dish at home or outside as it is salt is generally added during cooking (my point - I tend to eat very light) so for me to feel it is bland means tasteless. Anyway, finally Mr Peter came to collect our dishes and asked us how was it so I told him that it was really quite bad! He said we should say earlier, saying that seasoning (which was none) was not to our taste! Worse, he did not bother to come back to our table again to ask whether we wanted dessert, we waited and waited and finally gave up and asked to pay the bill. Overall review - some of the dishes are excellent! - some are very bad! - services is horrendous: as if they just want to ignore us. -->. put us beside a big party table which was very noisy when the restaurant is not crowded (very thoughtless) ---> never bother to check on us other than taking order, and coming to serve the starter, main course. ---> never bother to ask whether we want dessert so no choice but to leave the horrible place

We visited on Friday as we could see there was an offer for 2 for 1 fish and chips and oh my, can I just say we were not disappointed. We had 2 massive portions of fish and for only £13.95 we could not complain. We will definitely be returning in the future for any other offers and highly recommend anyone else to visit this wonderful establishment.
