Visited with another family for Sunday lunch - we were staying at a campsite up the valley. This is a “proper” British pub - lovely old building, welcoming atmosphere, decent ales, and hearty, well cooked food. With three 13 year olds in tow, we asked whether the kids portions would be suitable - they definitely were. Will be coming back.

Down a small alley way. You could easily walk past given the bustle of the high street. But these small places need and deserve a big up in these tough times. Charming and extremely helpful barman . Its a small quirky place really geared to ale/beer/ IPA but we drank spirits on our brief stay. We come from cosmopolitan Brighton and we like supporting places like this. So give it a try if you are visiting. Just a cute little place trying to do its thing. Support it. The natives are very friendly in Wrexham !

We tried a selection of products from here including a sausage roll, large oggie and a pie. All were excellent, pastry and filling alike and good value, especially as we bought multiple items for which a discount is offered. Recommended

We have visited here twice in a week. On both visits, the food was excellent, delivered quickly, by friendly attentive staff. I have reviewed recently and mentioned that we always have the same meals, so I’m sorry that the photos will be fish & chips and pie & chips again!! However, I feel that an enjoyable experience is worthy of another mention. Thank you Coral and your lovely staff, we will be back soon.

We had a lovely family get together at The Kings Mills, pleasant staff and reasonably priced food. We also met someone called Gary, must be different to the guy in the previous review because he wasn't short and was quite jovial, our family were welcomed by all the staff and customers, and will be back soon. We visit the area fairly often.

While killing time in Wrexham stumbled across this little cafe tucked away at the entrance to a arcade which leads to Wrexham Indoor Market. The patisserie is on street level but upstairs there is a little cafe which served a delicious breakfast just as your mum would make you when you were a schoolboy. Big chunks of toast followed by scrambled eggs. The coffee was excellent all for less than £10.

We Went for Sunday lunch and chose the sharing roast platter. Which was excellent Everything cooked to perfection. Including the Yorkshire puds....coming from Yorkshire that was a big bonus. There was enough to feed four people. The lady that took our order was chatty and ever so friendly. And it was delivered with a smile. The atmosphere was relaxing and not noisy considering the amount of people in the room. We asked for a doggy bag and took the remainder home in a takeaway box. I give it 10/10.. a really lovely lunch. Will definitely return to try the desert menu which looked delicious. If your into your wines. There was a wide, varied choice.

Great food and good, friendly service on the night, but wouldn’t bother if you’re booking for a large group. Table wasn’t ready for when the birthday boy arrived so the surprise was ruined. I’m 34 weeks pregnant and ended up bussing and moving the tables around myself. Seems to be very little organisation. Very hard to get hold of anybody via phone or email. Quite disappointing considering the reputation the other branches of the Fat Boar have.
