Down a small alley way. You could easily walk past given the bustle of the high street. But these small places need and deserve a big up in these tough times. Charming and extremely helpful barman . Its a small quirky place really geared to ale/beer/ IPA but we drank spirits on our brief stay. We come from cosmopolitan Brighton and we like supporting places like this. So give it a try if you are visiting. Just a cute little place trying to do its thing. Support it. The natives are very friendly in Wrexham !

Was in town for the football and this was on our list of pubs to visit. A decent pub tucked away down an alley in Wrexham town centre. As there was a group of us, we spilled outside to the tables and chairs where there was a badly out of tune piano which accompanied a good sing-song. Good range of beers and the staff were very hospitable and welcoming. Worth a visit.

I have been going to the drunk monk for the past two years, and it is the place to be in Wrexham. The owmers and staff are nice, hospitable, and pleasant. It is basically a laid-back environment because the customer service is so unique compared to anywhere else! You can obtain proper lemonade, proper Coca-Cola, and diet Coca-Cola. The have many craft and IPA ales, gins, whiskies, and pure vodkas! In their new seating space upstairs, they also feature a pool table. Cosy place, and if you become a little peckish, a takeaway is right next door. You can not go wrong. ❤️

Booked a table for Boxing day 2024. Turned up on time and found people outside as the place was all locked up. No explanation even though we saw the bar staff enter the booking details in the diary a few days earlier. Thank you to the Cross Foxes who found us a table at short notice

While killing time in Wrexham stumbled across this little cafe tucked away at the entrance to a arcade which leads to Wrexham Indoor Market. The patisserie is on street level but upstairs there is a little cafe which served a delicious breakfast just as your mum would make you when you were a schoolboy. Big chunks of toast followed by scrambled eggs. The coffee was excellent all for less than £10.
