Very enjoyable Great atmosphere

Very busy - lovely coffee & scones Such a shame that people feel the need to bring dogs into eating places - more like a "doggy playground.".......can't believe their mentality.

Stayed for one night due to the stormy weather. Room was spacious, modern and clean. Great bathroom with shower. Lovely warm and friendly welcome from Kelly and was super friendly. Enjoyed the pool night. Customers were very friendly and good beer and prices. Kelly arranged for a breakfast bab to go at 07:00 and lady (sorry do not know her name) that was sorting out breakfast was warm and friendly. So overall 5* and would highly recommend it.

Great except the "background " music was anything but background 🙁. Spoiled an otherwise enjoyable lunch 🤔.

Our family visited The Ship Inn for the Sunday roast as we were staying the area. We had a variety of beef, lamb or gammon and everyone loved their meal. The landlord was very friendly and made us feel welcome. I can see why it gets the good reviews from other diners.

The restaurant had many seating areas and was confutable, smart and clean. There was an excellent range of menu options. I enjoyed a roast beef dinner with all the trimmings and my husband enjoyed a burger and chips.

Visited the Black Lion for a meal and drink. Lovely location. Good choice of food, friendly staff and will go back.

Went here for lunch yesterday as we had been before and had a wonderful visit all round. £10 tip for a £50 bill. But this time although my wife enjoyed her turkey dinner apart from the pathetic side order coliflower cheese that had no cheese on it fir £4 my fish and chips with 11 of the smallest chips I've ever had on a plate and an extremely over cooked 6 inch in length fish. But when I adk the waitress if I could have a few more chips she informed me that the chef said that's the portion you get ? A few chips spread over a plate with over cooked tiny fish for £18,50 it's not the problem for me it's how it's dealt with and going home hungry isn't a happy customer. So for the sake of a few chips your business lost out on 2 deserts another drunk and a £10 tip which the rest of the staff deserved . Shame on you chef ( cook )

When to the Bull Hotel for a drink and something to eat. Wasn't disappointed, nice, friendly atmosphere. We ordered fish and chips ( ample size,very tasty) and also a beef stroganoff (again ample portion, tasty, plus the beef was melt in the mouth). Both were piping hot & good value for money. Certainly eat here again.

Visited recently for a family celebration. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating of our party's needs, and we were able to decorate the table with flowers and balloons to add to the event. Not everyone arrived on time and the team were absolutely brilliant at making sure that everyone had drinks, and all food ordered arrived at the same time regardless of when it was ordered so we were all able to eat together. There was a great selection of food to choose from and it was all delicious. We all chose different dishes so had a great selction from the menu between us. Portion sizes were good and nobody went away hungry! We were there a good few hours and there was no rush to leave, no pressure to order more and we felt welcome, well looked after and well fed. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon!

Very nice reasonably priced food.

A lovely little place for lunch. The place was busy but service good. The food was great & well priced. Staff were very friendly & atmosphere good.

Had dinner here last night, went on spec and never visited before. Really great experience, bar staff very helpful in accommodating us with a table. Simple menu but just enough to cover something for everyone. Waiting staff were brilliant, polite, professional and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. We were told the chef is new and he is doing a great job!

Decent pub with a good selection of draught and bottled beers. Staff seem friendly enough 👍
