The Beach Restaurant in Conwy

Seemed good cleaning practices. Staff friendly and polite. However, will NEVER visit again, the food appeared good and hot other than the ham sandwich and side salad which was of course cold, severe food poisoning followed, my wife is a chef and previously owned a lovely country pub never had a complaint in 8 years, always spot on reviews. You guys need to up your game on the cold food, I am considering legal advise, I'm always sorry to give bad reviews because I love to support businesses in Cymru. This place has a beautiful view and unfortunately let down by disastrous cold sides, I think the hot food was probably OK. Please up your game but unfortunately we won't be returning.

Food was very average, service was terrible, they got our meals wrong, left parts of our order sitting waiting to be delivered to the table for ages. Said they were going to reduce the bill as they had got it wrong and then didn't. I would not go here again!

Unexpectedly brilliant cake and coffees on a blustery Welsh Saturday afternoon. A friendly young lady delivering excellent service. We shall return. 25FEB2023. UPDATED: Just as good for lunch, on 21SEP2024.

Nice little cafe bar. We just stopped for a coffee, and I had a toasted tea cake, and husband had a sausage barm, both of which were lovely. Friendly staff. We will stop again next time we are in the area.

OK if you are just after drinks, but we had a very poor experience of food and service. Overpriced sandwich, basic, cheap ingredients and hardly any filling. Go somewhere else if you want food and friendly service! If you just want a drink and a sea view it's worth a try.

Fantastic find today, beautifully created food,sandwiches and soups,spring rolls. All served quickly and fantastic service,lovely,friendly servers ,dog friendly too! Oh and our last treat an ice cream from their parlour, recommended the place,excellent food,great staff and fantastic views.

A lovely café overlooking the beach. They don't allow dogs inside (which is beautifully decorated in a beachy way and clean), so we sat in the well-kept garden which looks directly out to sea. A good menu that is much the same as most cafés but the food was excellently cooked and presented and priced well. The staff are lovely and made us and my pooch feel very welcome.

Very friendly staff but worst table service for a long long time. We stated when we sat that we wanted to order food, half an hour later after waiting 20mins just to get a drink, we paid our bill and left without a crumb. A beautiful spot to be fair and staff were really pleasant all the same. It was our first and definitely last visit to the place, what a shame.

We stopped for a short time, just for a coffee. It was the best choice. Coffee and cappuccino are very delicious. We had friendly service with a smile. Don't miss the carrot cake we tasted!

First visit so we called in for a hot chocolate and a toasted tea cake. Will definitely go back to have some lunch as they have a good choice of food on their menu. Staff were very welcoming and everywhere was clean . Plenty of tables outside and in . Enjoyed our visit.

the beach café was the perfect, relaxed, welcoming venue to host the reception after my mum’s funeral. ally and her team came recommended by the funeral director, and for good reason. it’s a really cute spot in sight of the beach. the food was delicious, plentiful, and obviously all fresh (the light and fluffy victoria sponge was baked that morning). the best buffet i’ve eaten at a funeral, maybe ever. despite the occasion, the atmosphere was bright, warm and exactly as mum would have wanted. staff members were friendly and attentive. several people made a point of telling me they appreciated their hot drinks being so regularly topped up. nonetheless, we had space and time un-pressured to mingle and reminisce. i’m only sorry mum couldn’t be there; she would have loved it… especially the bara brith!

Visited the Beach cafe on Saturday, friendly and welcoming staff giving good service, they always serve great cake too.

Called for pot of tea, coffee and a lovely slice of cake. Staff very efficient and friendly the cafe is very nicely situated just across from the beach. We will visit again, very good, and dog friendly.

I also had the "Vegan Chicken Burger" which was absolutely delicious.   The staff are very friendly and efficient, able and willing to accommodate requests for dishes not on the menu. the chef made me a vegan apple crumble from scratch in 10 minutes! The surroundings are comfortable, with a lot of seating on the lawn outside, overlooking the seaside. Access was easy, flat from the car park with wide doors, toilets also on the flat. Highly recommended, we'll definitely keep visiting.

Great location but the sky high prices and food let it down. Visted for breakfast which was very overpriced for what you get. It was basically a small basic breakfast you would get at a Weatherspoons! Vegan sausage was horrible and tasted like salty cardboard. Avocado wasn't fresh and looked like it had been kept from the night before! They need to improve the food dramatically to match the prices! Also needs more vegan options - that taste nice!!!

Visited this lovely cafe for the wake of a dear friend. Setting is lovely looking out to sea, buffet was excellent, but the staff were outstanding - friendly, attentive and respectful- well done!

TERRIBLE! Avoid this place if you like good food! Ordered drinks first, my partner ordered lemonade, the waitress asked, “do you want ice and lemon?” Then was informed there was no lemon or lime but could have orange, she said ok I’ll have orange but it came without. Ordered large fish and chips which was very expensive at around £17 so was expecting something good. It arrived and the fish was about the size of two fish fingers side by side! The table opposite with three ladies on also couldn’t believe the size. The waitress said it was what the suppliers sent as large. Now to me the owners should be checking this and sorting it out with the suppliers. The waitress said she’d take it back and would I like anything else like a sandwich and she wouldn’t charge me. I went for ham and mustard, it came as ham and piccalilli! When I came to pay, they charged me £10 for that which they said they wouldn’t (two slices of brown bread and processed packet ham! Shocking. My partner had the Thai (very watery) curry and a bit of boiled rice, £15 please!!!! Absolutely shocking, rip off cafe that should not be allowed to serve food. Anyone who praises it must eat really badly at home! Worse experience ever!!

Went to the cafe yesterday after having breakfast in Llandudno. Staff looked at me like I was ordering something ridiculous.. only asked for a Latte with one shot..or less.. simple. Seemed difficult to comprehend and got a lecture on how the coffee comes out the machine..just like any other 🙄... anyhow mrs unfriendly finally brought it out .. couldn't believe my eyes ..talk about a small glass... like a baby glass.. I was finished before my friend got three sips into his Americano🙄 so double check the size before you buy as believe me it's smaller than a Costa small.. I took a photo after instead of before 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ it was priced at £3.25 but I'd rather pay £3.50 for a decent size one. I wanted another one to drink while my friend drank his but on principle I wasn't going to pay £6.50 for technically one latte!!! This place is known to be pricey..I won't be going back. Far better choices 5 minutes down the road in Rhos on Sea 🙄

We are regulars now as we always enjoy our visit wether we have the delicious pancakes with a scoop of the lovely ice cream or the Sunday Roast. We have never found the staff other than delightful and appreciate their friendliness and attentiveness which must not always be easy when working in the Hospitality Industry these days. A big thank you to you all.

Went to pay at the end and asked if she had told the kitchen and she said that "I wrote 'not too much sauce' on the order". No sorry or anything. Like I said at the start, usually good, but whoever was serving on the 20th Jan is probably not the person that they should have front of house if they want people to come back.

Fantastic beach view cafe/restaurant, the food was nice but they didn't have a few meals from main menu which we wanted to try , good reason to go back 😋 the views are spectacular and there's parking on the front or down the side streets. Very cool ice cream bar open in the summer months.

Me and my wife have tried to eat at this cafe four times, every time we go in and wait for someone to seat us, they just give looks and do not communicate, I have tried to say hello but they have walked off, avoid.

The waitress was friendly, despite the very slow service. The two slices of bara brith were actually two thin slithers. Lovely sat outside in the sunshine, despite the breeze, but will not return.

Love this place! The vegan and gluten free options are fabulous. The staff are friendly and really make it a lovely place to stop off and eat something delicious. The views are lovely and it's dog friendly! Add The Beach Cafe to your must visit list :)

We rented an air bnb a few doors away from here and popped in here a few times over our week there, the breakfasts are amazing, tasty, filling and great value for money, staff are friendly and welcoming. Would definitely go back if in the area.

We went here today after a lovely stroll along the promenade, this place is a gem! Beautiful food! The homemade bread and the tomato and mascapone soup were amazing! Thank you guys 😊

Food is excellent but a little on the pricey side tbh. Service was very good and outside seating is dog friendly.

We often go here for coffee and cake but decided to have a meal today.The service was good and the view from the restaurants garden was lovely but the food was a let down.I ordered the burger which was overcooked and the portion of chips was tiny.My wife had the crab and prawn linguine which tasted nice but the portion size was very small with hardly any crab or prawns Some of the reviews were good but that was not our experience today

Beautiful views with a delicious latte.

Very dissapointing visit after hearing decent things about the place. Food was mediocre to say the least. Luke warm chips and a prawn sandwich that was on dry bread and not even a sniff of the promised Rose Marie sauce. How a glass of coke costs more than a half of decent lager too was mind boggling. Prices too were very much on the top side. A prawn sandwich for £11, I think not. We will not be returning any time soon.

Visit 2: Prices have somehow increased. Still a small fry-up for a ridiculous price. The pancakes were stodgy and rubbery, practically inedible. Visit 1: Good food but a bit overpriced for what is essentially a standard fry-up

Warm and welcoming, helpful and pleasant staff, food was tasty, if a little overcooked. One may think that a breakfast for two consisting of a sausage, an egg, a slice bacon, a slice white pudding, , beans ,mushroom, half a tomato and a pre buttered slice of toast and a tea and coffee @ £29:30 is too much The cafe is a little off the beaten track but is just of the prom with fantastic views. The parking is extremely limited and on street, the adjoining main road has double yellows. Overall not a bad experience

Lovely little place. Food was so good, we had the fish and chips and it was very tasty. They have several desert selections but the cakes are fantastic, you can tell they are fresh. Service was fantastic. Very popular. Parking nearby is a bit of a pain since the main road has been redesigned but if you're in the area walking I would recommend stopping by.

We have been coming to the Beach Cafe for a long time now and this morning received excellent customer service from Mark. He is new to The Beach Cafe and gave us friendly professional service. Our vegetarian breakfasts were delicious as always and we sat outside in the sunshine. Will be back soon and hope that Suzie or Mark are working as they make you feel welcome.

Just back from a fabulous Afternoon Tea at the Beach Cafe , fabulous views delicious food , the afternoon tea is the best I have had anywhere, so much variety, amazing scones, great service, loved it

Quieter than other years I've been visiting, has gone very expensive, and poor quality, food seemed to of changed to Mediterranean? Crockery was very tea stained, and a very long wait to be served

Lovely food great staff and great atmosphere

Whilst this cafe is located in a wonderful position, the food is not of the standard nor value that we have found in the rest of Britain. Extremely expensive and quality was not there. On our entire trip we have not paid 16 pounds for a salad. The salad was ordinary and unfortunately drenched in dressing that spoilt it. Fish and chips dry. However, the staff were quite nice and the atmosphere is "beachy" if you like that. So perhaps if you plan to visit, stay away from salad and fish and chips and choose something else.

I’m not one to write a review but this deserves one for all the wrong reasons, especially considering the staff never asked us how our food was. Awful, don’t waste your money. Customer service is so poor, aswell as the food. Firstly, I asked for a coffee but less water as I like it strong, the lady spent a while writing a note regarding the coffee, even though it was simple, just less water and it still came as a full cup and tasted of brown water. I ordered a halloumi salad with olives, peppers, and pesto dressing, it came with no olives or peppers, instead it had some kind of grain and tomato’s? The menu was very unclear. My boyfriend ordered chicken, Wensleydale and cranberry flatbread but asked for no cranberry presuming it was sauce, the girl said this was okay, however, when the flat bread arrived, it was just dry roast chicken between bread (the type of chicken you get pre cooked from Asda) he asked is this meant to have cheese in where the girl replied I don’t know let me check…and what she didn’t know or tell us was it’s Wensleydale cheese with cranberry in. In most cases they’d come back and tell us instead they proceeded to serve an anemic looking flatbread. Instead of asking if you want the cheese to be added once we’d asked if it comes with cheese she was about to walk off, but it seems pointless paying to just eat chicken and bread. It’s ridiculously over priced, £13 for the chicken and £16 for the salad. There was zero customer service skills at no point, they asked if our meal was ok, probably because they knew it was so bad. They just lacked so much personality, especially the senior lady that gave us our bill, I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Having been here last year,it has gone downhill,terrible.we asked to have a tea stained cup changed,and the waitress said,it's not dirty !!but changed it,the food was terrible,service terrible,and it wasn't busy.and expensive.would not recommend.

Visited June 23 on recommendation of friends. We had lunch of sandwiches and soup. Food was excellent and service extremely efficient, helpful and friendly. Lovely location too. Would thoroughly recommend

Terrible service, we waited 45 minutes before our order was taken. Very noisy, you couldn't have a conversation with the people at your table. It is not a patch on how it used to be

Really lovely food. Staff are very friendly but the service was disorganised and quite slow, we had to wait for some time in the busy doorway before being greeted. It was a busy lunchtime and perhaps they were understaffed? Nonetheless food was excellent, the atmosphere was comfortable and the place is very clean. Much better than many of the cafés nearby.

Oh it was such a treat, such a lovely airy Cafe. The staff so welcoming, and the food delicious. But what stood out for me was THE most delicious milkshake. I've never ever had such a delicious and lovely looking milkshake in my life. Thank you lovely people of The Beach Cafe, for making my Saturday morning such a memorable one for myself, husband and my dear friend.

Beautiful location.Food was excellent.Staff very helpful.Wish we had sat in a different place as was very cold when they opened door to serve outside but this is not a complaint and we will be back.

My partner and my Mum had really nice lunches this week, baked potato with tuna and the pate with chutney. My mini fish n chips though was very poor, overcooked batter around a tiny amount of fish. It was billed on the menu as ‘half a haddock’, I had about 3 mouthfuls out of it for £10. I’d say more like a quarter of a haddock!

Had to wait over 40mins for breakfast. Then came to tell us “the connection has failed” waiting then had to wait another 20 mins. An hour, definitely not worth the wait, coffee had gone in the 1st 5mins and didn’t even offer a refill for...

Beachfront very clean staff very friendly

Excellent hospitality from the staff. At peak times there can be a small wait for food due to demand / kitchen staff resource. They are a local business who are experiencing the rewards of good quality by having a lot of customers! Outside seating available, for food & drinks. Inside several tables seating 2-8 as standard. Food was reasonably priced, a somewhat simple range available & the preparation fairly straightforward. I would recommend for the excellent service.

Goats cheese ciabatta was delicious. We asked for a jug of water as well and our waitress was friendly and went out of her way to address our requests. Reasonably priced baby today’s standards. Great experience.

Csodás kis hely, nagyon tetszett, még visszajövök megkóstolni mást is. Sütit és lattét kértünk, csak 4-5 asztalnál ültek bent, úgyhogy gyorsan megkaptuk. Van lehetőség bent, fedett kis terasz részen vagy kerthelyiségben is leülni. A mosdók tiszták. Parkolni a közelben lehet, nincs saját parkolója. Igényes, tiszta, kellemes hangulatú hely, hideg és meleg ételekkel egyaránt. A puboknál kicsit drágább, de sokkal igényesebb menüvel és tálalással. A kiszolgálás kifogástalan volt, fiatal, nagyon kedves, udvarias, mosolygós felszolgálók. Kint ülve a tengerre és a hegyre is ráláttunk, és mivel nem voltak sokan, nyugodt, pihentető érzés volt a napon elfogyasztani a rendelésünket. A hely méretéből gondolom, hogy szezonban, jó időben forgalmas hely lehet. Látogatás ideje: március vége, hétköznap délután.
