It was our fist stay in Arran, and our last evening after previous disappointment eating elsewhere. I ordered battered haddock, garden peas and chips. I was delighted and relieved with the excellent quality of the meal. Thoroughly enjoyed, and the service excellent too. Nathan and the young lady who served us, to be commended... Also, I enjoy cider, and was delighted to find draught Aspall served here. In my opinion there is no more refreshing cider on the market. Full marks to Glenisle - I wish we had eaten here earlier in our visit.

Tucked into the corner of the pier buildings in Brodick, you'll find the best coffee on Arran. It's the same price as anywhere else, but the size is more generous and the way it's made benefits from years of experience by the owner and head barista. There are cakes (please leave the blueberry muffins for locals ;-) ) and there is a small selection of toasted sandwiches and sausage rolls, available from noon. Locals meet here for coffee and tea. Some are, by their very nature, quite obscure in their ways. It all adds for some interesting debate, often shared unwittingly with people who just came for coffee but, like Ikea, they left with more than they bargained for. It can be amusing but mostly just inane chat about something local that doesn't quite need to be shared with anyone, but is anyway. The owner, John, has the patience required to run such an establishment. Dogs are welcome;...there is often a large red setter ("Dusty") in the building and he knows where the treats are. The decor on the walls is for sale and is supplied by local artists, photographers and graphic designers. The carpet is a sight to behold.

Excellent food. Beef and ale pie melts in your mouth and the fish was perfect! Then comes dessert. Sticky toffee pudding drizzled with toffee sauce and ice cream from Arran. It is definitely the best I have ever had The restaurant is tucked away in a lovely garden area with lovely views in the summer. Staff are friendly and courteous with an amazing atmosphere. Coming here is a must!

There were 5 of us booked into to get some food. I got the salt and pepper shredded chicken with curry sauce. Oh what a lot of food. The dish comes with a large portion of rice and a watercress garnish. Absolutely delicious. Food was piping hot. Staff were all very attentive and professional. We were last out and we didn’t feel like we were being pushed out. Amazing food well done and we will be back down

Started off nice after the new ownership but sadly its back to being rotten. The pizza crunch was soggy & dripping with grease and the chips had a horrible oily taste.I thought the italian sausage on the pizza would be something better but its just plain pepperoni. The pizza was also very thin and could have done with another 5 mins in the oven.very disappointing
