Hidden Gem. If you are out this way this restaurant won’t disappoint. Lovely find before our train journey home. Greeted by lovely owners looked as though a small family business with a lovely menu and good could not fault ! I am gluten free and this place catered to Gf/Df and vegan ect. The food was delcious and worth every penny. The restaurant was a lovely atmosphere very posh and clean. The service was quick and we will be back again to try the lunch menu. 10/10

My visit was on a cold snow covered day. We had an early booking, maybe that was the reason for the young waitress not knowing and providing us with confusing info of the menu. Once that was sorted everything went well and a very satisfying meal was had by my family.

Lovely venue, delicious breakfast and brilliant service from the staff group. Will definitely head back to sample lunch and their amazing cakes.

A wonderful lunch we did not plan the visit and they were able to accommodate us. A great choice was available to meet a variety of needs. We opted for the fritters (black pudding and haggis) as a starter to share. This was delightful. The main courses were equally good with mother in law having beef lasagne whilst the Hunters chicken beckoned me. Well worth a trip

Ordered a jumbo fish supper and it's the worst I've had for a long time. The fish batter was soggy the fish was grey and the chips were soggy. So I took it back in, handed it to the frier saying I'm giving you this back, it's the worst I've ever had. Without missing a beat he took the bag from me, threw it on the floor and continued speaking with one of the young lads. No question to inquire what the issue was, nothing, which made me think this must be a common occurrence there.

I opted for the soup and panini combo option which cost £9.30. The panini consisted of one wafer thin slice of ham and an equally minuscule slice of cheese. The lentil and bacon soup tasted ok but the bowl was small, approximately the size of a teacup. Prices are quite steep also.
