My fiancée knew of this place and thought we would give it a try. A lovely little place just off the A96 at Pitcaple and well sign posted. The staff were friendly and cheerful, Danielle took our order a very pleasant and mannerable young lady. The cafè was very tidy and well set out and very reasonable prices. Definitely will be back and certainly would recommend a visit.

This is a little out of the way cafe that had lovely lunches on offer and tasty cakes. We'd not much time to look around but they'd a squirrel trail and gardens you could look round. We've passed the sign so any times for it and we finally gave it a try, we'd certainly go back

This is my favourite place to have a bite to eat or just a coffee, cake and enjoy the stunning scenery. I love chatting away to the staff who are very chirpy and welcoming. Lovely, friendly atmosphere that makes you want to stay and drink tea and eat cake all afternoon! The food is fantastic value for money and the best place closest to my house for a lush panini and cake. (Malteser slice is my favourite)Great parking and you can enjoy a peaceful stroll around the gardens after.

A mile just outside Pitcaple, you will find a very nice place to have a bite to eat. 3 mains areas to sit, in the main area, there is a deck outside and in a conservatory area. The menu is limited which you rend to find in paces like this, but still enough to take little time to decide what you want. We all had sandwich / panini / toastie. All were very tasty and really good value.Very note outlook in good weather if you can get a table outside. Defo give it a try. My only suggestion is to have more than one high chair, it was being used and we had to go without.

Met a friend for lunch and was hugely impressed. There's a big car park as you enter, with a short stroll past the greenhouses where they grow their own produce. The cafe is lovely (the view from the back deck is fab), the service warm and friendly, and the food was delicious. The menu consists of a soup of the day, sandwiches, toasties and paninis and a special of the day (quiche the day we were there), as well as a selection of scones, traybakes and cakes. We ordered soup with a panini and soup with a toastie. The lentil soup was thick and tasty, the panini and toastie were very good too. We then ordered tea and had to try a fine piece - a ginger scone and dumpling cake. Both were light and yummy. The total bill, including 2 other drinks, was just £16. Highly recommended.

Lovely little cafe outside inverurie. Went for afternoon coffee, lovely fesh homebakes which are made on site by the workers, most of whom go to the service as a support centre. The prices are very reasonable for what you get and much cheaper than normal coffee shops. Lovely views of bennachie and has grounds you can have a walk round. Cant say much about the lunch menu but looked like there was plenty of choice. Only thing i would say is they are only open during the week and the close at 3! Id say if they were open weekends they would get a lot of business. Overall i would 100% return and recommended to anyone.

The Buzzard Cafe is a charity as part of the Pitscurry Project at Pitcaple, which provides opportunities for adults with learning or physical disabilities. It's in a modern, bright wooden building with a lovely terrace to sit out on when it's sunny. They have superb homebakes, from huge scones to amazing Victoria sponges, as well as a range of sandwiches and paninis and specials (today was curry). There're artworks for sales on the walls as well as crafts made by the men and women who attend the centre (I have a lovely ceramic bowl with blue glaze - for just 3 pounds!). The prices are great - 8.50 today for a pot of tea, latte, curry, and brie and cranberry panini, which came with side salad and crisps. Lovely place, lovely atmosphere, lovely food. Open 10-3pm Monday to Friday (my only sadness is that it's not open on weekends!).

For a light lunch or tea and cakes this is the place for you. Set in a woodland setting with views of Bennachie you can eat indoors or out depending on the weather. Soup and sandwiches, Panini's, baked potatoes all with generous fillings or choice from specials are all reasonably priced and home baked cakes are large and filling. Staff are all very friendly and produce well cooked meals. Walks around the gardens and grounds finish off the visit. There is a picnic area, a tree trail and a chance to purchase plants and veg grown there.

The Buzzard cafe is a community run project, enabling young adults with special needs to help run the cafe, and it is lovely to see the enthusiasm amongst all the staff. It offers great value for money. The menu isn't extensive but what you do get is an honest tasty plate of food, freshly prepared. The specials are well thought out and always a little bit different, lovely wholesome soups and the home bakes are delicious and I had the best tomato salad I have ever eaten there! The staff are lovely, very friendly and welcoming. The setting is spectacular, and it's a lovely place to visit and have a light lunch, or a 'fly cup' and a home bake. I go on a regular basis with a friend, and getting to know the staff has been a joy, we always come away with big smiles and a happy frame of mind! I highly recommend this cafe, it's a real treat!

A good place. This is a cafe that helps people wih learning and physical difficulties gain work experience. Bright modern cafe, with seating for about twenty, overlooking veranda to woods and hills, and of course the occasional Buzzard. If you visit this place just a pinch off the A96 or a mile off the A9001, you can enjoy a soup and roll, or toasted sandwich, with teas and soft drinks. Please take time to be patient, this is not a fast food place, it does play a part in supporting those who benefit from a helping hand to gain experience of the workplace. In fact, avoid in summer when it is very popular since it opened in 2013, instead support it out of season.A generous gratuity will balance the low prices, and it goes to help the facility.Delighted to be the first to submit a review.
