The Montgomerie Restaurant and Bar in Aberdeenshire

Just had a fantastic 6 course taster menu from the Montgomerie based around the 6 nations rugby , food was amazing , incredible tastes and it looked wonderful , service was quick and professional, the chef came to the table and explained every course .We will be back for an evening meal as this was an excellent first meal at the Montgomerie

Just came home from having such a lovely mother’s day meal, All the staff were very welcoming and making sure our meals were fine and very attentive to our needs. Compliments to the chef as his food is outstanding. Totally recommend for a lovely meal.

Nice traditional British great quality food

Am afraid food was not good. Very easy chicken fillets. Which were greasy and overcooked. Husbands fish was same very thick greasy batter. Cold and crunchy potatoes

Absolutely lovely Sunday lunch with very friendly quick service. We were travelling from Aberdeen back to Inverness and after having read the good reviews of this place, I thought we would try it for Sunday lunch. It was a very handy stop as it has great parking just off the A96. There was a great choice on the menu. I had a black pudding starter followed by a very generous and succulent cavery. My wife enjoyed a large prawn cocktail followed by chicken gougons. I couldn't fault a thing and will try and stop again next time we are passing.

You'll be well looked after here. Only had a breakfast roll bit it was lovely.

Staff always on hand food was cooked to perfection value for money with their steak meal deal best steak I've had in ages would highly recommend

Unfortunately we were only able to eat here one night, the food was absolutely delicious, not a long wait for food and lovely waiting staff, couldn't fault a thing. Highly recommend. Will be back.

Can not thank you enough for our wedding lunch, glad you took photos of our dishes as I forgot to (was that excited). Paul took care of my initial enquiry and was very helpful, Naomi and the team were very attentive, helpful and looked after us so well on the day, to Chef and team behind the scenes - thank you, our food was delicious, you were happy to work with us to create our own menu which made it all the more special. Great venue, wonderful relaxed atmosphere, comfortable surroundings = great experience

The staff are very friendly and aim to please every visitor. Lovely relaxing atmosphere to dine and enjoy the visit. A good selection from the menu including local specialities and very good value. Not to be missed!

Was there tonight for a meeting followed by meal. Menu was very varied with lots of favorites to choose from. Service was as I would expect from Gary and his team. Went for the black pudding and bacon stack and the battered haddock. Beautiful and couldn’t be faulted.

I’m a regular customer and this review is long overdue. The management and staff are always very efficient and attentive. The menu is extensive and caters for varied tastes. The food and drink quality is of a consistently high standard and the atmosphere is invariably relaxed, informal and child friendly. It’s always a pleasure to visit The Montgomerie with my family.

Consistently great food a good choice on the menu for adults and children. Always arrives hot and generally not too long for service. Average priced and open to the public though booking advisable.

Great food catered to all needs, lovely and friendly staff in a great setting. Can’t recommend enough. There is a dish for everyone to eat as the menu offers a vast range of Choice. Well priced and food sized portions. Great for families and groups. Would recommend booking on advanced as is fully booked a lot of the time due to being such a great place. Brilliant place :)

We arrived at the golf club the car park was full don’t be put off by this ,There were plenty of tables in the restaurant ,We were seated at our table and given menus straight away we had the carvery 3 meats to choice from or you can have a slice of each plenty of choice of veg etc the food was lovely , staff very attentive , price was very resonable I would highly recommend this place and will visit again ...

discovered this restaurant about a year ago and now when visiting family we always dine there. The menu has a varied selection all very reasonably priced. wine is very decently priced as well. Food is really good and well presented. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The surroundings are spacious- never have felt crowded and the large restaurant windows give excellent views across the adjoining golf course.

We regularly eat out, covering most of the restaurants in and around Inverurie. A couple of months ago we found that Inverurie Golf Club had outsourced their restaurant facility which was now available to allWe now dine there at least twice per week, the food is excellent, reasonably priced - 2x large Sirloin steaks all the trimmings plus a bottle of wine for £32 at their Saturday evening steak night (you have to book)- staff are young but very well motivated (by Mr Cox, a good guy and well on top of his job)The view from the upstairs area isn’t bad either Bit reticent about completing this review - don’t want to make the place too popularOn the downside there does not appear to be a dress code, seeing a rotund dinner in t shirt and cleavage revealing shorts at 7 in the evening isn’t the sort of rump I’d expect in an otherwise excellent restaurant

Have eaten here a few times lately and have been pleasantly surprised. The menu has a great choice to please everyone and the portion sizes are perfect. I don't know why this place hasn't had more reviews. Keep up the good work!

The menu choices were reasonabkle and turned out that the food on offer was quite nice. I did not hear any complaints about any of the meals on offer for a table of six. The drawback was the terribly slow service. We all had just a main course and coffees/drinks and this took two and a quarter hours. This is ridiculously slow. The service and food were good and pleasant but it certainly requires a gee up. This would deter me from returning.
