Had a couple of coffees and some cakes and sat outside in the fort and ate them. Was a good place to get refreshments.

Dirty, tired and not had any investment in years, the heating wasn't even on and the owner Steve was not interested in our complaint that it was cold, said... " it's Scotland in winter!"

A good cup of coffee in an eclectic former church turned climbing centre! Service was friendly. Would return if in the area.

This cafe within the same building as the heritage centre is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday through the summer season and staffed by volenteers who prepare all the food, soup cakes etc themselves. This is good homely food. I was informed that on the days the cafe is not open there is a mobile van serving pizzas and crepes parked in the car park. There are also toilets at the centre which is a bonus.

It's excellent to have food and hot drinks available before the ferry departs for Harris. The kiosk is open depending on ferry times - and that depends on Calmac's tidal timetable. Excellent bacon roll with a substantial filling.

Long weekend, 3 nights king size room, with the dog. Been here before, expected slightly more, however we did enjoy our stay. Room was spacious, massive bed, huge wardrobes but little drawers. No where in the bathroom to put anything. Has a bath. Tea and coffee facilities. We were room 112 and there was no noise from the busy bar downstairs. Rugby and live music. Dogs cannot go in the bar or restaurant which we were advised before we came. As we had visited before for food, we were bit let down by the restaurant food on this occasion, however breakfast was great and the staff on in the morning were fantastic! Perfect for exploring. Cleaning staff were great, so accommodating with new towels, tea and coffee. Great base for exploring. Love loch morlich, boat of garten and the cairngorms. Nice Indian restaurant across the road is worth a visit.

We came here for some warm food and good energy. We we're welcomed and shown our seat next to the fireplace, it was lovely and welcoming, the decor is outdated but it doesn't reflect the food at all, nice and fresh. Bonus!!! It doesn't smell like an old pub. We will be back for sure.
