Drumnadrochit TeaRoom, Village Store & Post Office in Highland

Had a lovely lunch in a charming tearoom. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Really interesting shop attached with lots of different souvenirs.. bit different from the mainstream!

Very rude staff. Such a shame, New Year’s Day and we thought we’d support the venue as they’d made an attempt to be open when so many places were closed. Wish I hadn’t wasted £17 on 4 very mediocre hot drinks. As we walked in at 2pm we were told only cakes and coffee were being served even though table next to us were being served a full toastie meal. We accepted this but were then served our drinks with no conversation or smile and when we paid we were not even spoken to let alone a thank you or goodbye. Would never visit again, why should we???

Had a bacon roll and coffee. Within one hour was nauseous and spent whole day vomiting and now have watery diarrhoea (2nd day). Was the only thing I had to eat that day. Totally ruined my new year holiday. Was here for three days walking and a new year dinner and ceilidh all prebooked and paid for but haven't been able to attend anything as too sick and not likely to manage a 3 course dinner at new year as currently haven't even drunk anything yet. Waste of £200 and ruined new year.

If you’re taking the boat tour on Loch Ness this is where you’ll catch it. If not, it’s still a great pit stop to shop, have a bio break, grab a cold drink (or sample some gin!) and browse the shops. Surprisingly affordable souvenirs here. Stop won’t take long unless this is also your hotel… not sure of value or pricing on those. Great views of the Loch. Be careful of the very busy highway!

Two of us were trekking along the Great Glen Way, we arrived in Drumnadrochit just as it started to shower, so we called in for a snack and a brew. We didn’t feel particularly welcome but we ordered a cheese and ham toastie each and I had a tea and my pal had black coffee. The toastie was very nice and we washed it down with another round of tea/coffee. It was expensive though, £29.10 for 2 coffees, 2 teas and 2 cheeses and ham toasties.

Quick stop during our travel for coffee and a muffin. We took the food to to go … since we wanted to eat and explore the area at the same time. The service could have been better. My husband had a hard time deciding what to purchase and this seemed to annoy the person serving us. Since the food and coffee were good … we would stop in again if in the area. There is a free parking lot near the shop.

We enjoyed this tea room at breakfast time The staff was super nice, food was really authentic and heartwarming; we had scones with butter and jam and a black pudding and link sausage sandwich, all with a fantastic cup of tea. Definitely a must when in drumnadrocrit

Fantastic. Excellent customer service. My 3yo was treated as a person, not an afterthought, and the children's options were great! Good and drink were very good! Highly recommend!

Worst place I've been. People are rude, and agressive, almost physical! There should have been a trauma situation before . Makes no sense to kickout a customer, just because you ask if Coffee is ready... Moreover, the didn't want to give back the money for the 2 cofees they didn't serve.

Arrived. Asked for two sausage and two bacon sandwiches to takeaway and refused because they didn’t want to cook it for us. Served Scottish man behind us in the queue for two bacon sandwiches. Could be be because were English? Filthy place too.

We had a lunch here and we enjoyed the food. Large portions. Nice burger, good salads and the lentil soup was tasty.

I think the people that run this place have had enough of visitors and tourists! No smile, chat or welcome.

Disappointed with the masses of dead flies on the window-ledge in tea room - quite off-putting in a food establishment, they cant help the flies dying but little attempt had been made to clean up The tea room looked tired. The food was nice but the service was sadly lacking from the young staff on duty. Could be a gold mine, the other eateries in the village were all buzzing and busy but the tea room and general store were lacking in much custom on a busy summer day. Hopefully the new owners (the place is for sale - sign outside) may create a better atmosphere.

steak pie and sausage rolls were something else. probably one of the best steak pies ive ever had, so much filling. will be popping in on my return visit for more

Stopped here for lunch. Unassuming little tea room, post office and stores. We only went in for a snack and ended up choosing the soup and sandwich deal. Both were delicious, especially the courgette, potato and cheese soup. We had the best pot of tea we had had in 3 days. Overall, all the ingredients appeared to me to be good quality and the staff were great even though they were really busy.. With free parking and top notch toilets virtually next door in the community car park, this is definitely a place to visit.

We stayed in Drumnadrochit for 4 nights and this place was next door to our accommodation. We popped in several times mainly for breakfast before we went of exploring. What can i say about this place, staff were great, really friendly helpful and polite, food was cooked fresh while you waited, with fresh ingredients my partner loved the butter, food was well prepared and nicely served and nice sized portions, we had a full cooked breakfast and headed out for the day and didn't eat until the evening, and that's saying something as I like my food!!.If you're in the area I highly recommend you pop in.

Spotted this place while en route to our B&B in the area so popped in for a snack. Had homemade lentil soup, drinks and a white chocolate raspberry tart which were delicious. The premises felt homely and had a relaxed atmosphere. The lad serving was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Would definitely recommend paying this place a visit.

Excellent food and service, stopped with my girlfriend and had delicious homemade soup along with a portion of French toast. Was pleasantly surprised with the variety on the menu. Will 100% go back.

We visited here twice for breakfast and was really pleased (and full-up) both times. The staff were friendly and the little cafe had lovely views of the village green. Would definitely recommend for breakfast!

We were grateful for the friendly service and decent coffee on a rainy day when the cafe across the road was packed and this place was surprisingly empty. Worth a visit.

From the outside this cafe looked lovely. Unfortunately inside the offering was very basic. Coffee was very weak. Ice cream was ok.
