What a platefull.Very busy pub but staff very friendly and quick to seat and take orders Service quick, food well cooked and tasty. Good choice of ale ect, and for size of portions very well priced so good we went the next night

Visited on 28th April during a weekend break, mainly due to it being the first dog friendly place that popped up on Google. We arrived just at the right time to get a table. Very busy traditional pub. Staff very friendly and attentitive. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again on my next trip to Fort William.

My husband and I had dinner here on Friday the 26th of April while staying in Fort William for a couple of nights. We had a lovely meal. Everything tasted very fresh and came out piping hot. We had Mushrooms and Thai chicken bites to start with, then we had fajitas and balmoral chicken. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!!

Popped in by here whilst looking for somewhere to eat and were not disappointed. Big menu with choice for everyone. Great pub grip and worth a visit. All reasonably priced too.

The Crofter is well worth a visit for good and honest food at a very affordable price. We both had the ribeye steak, chips and salad. The steak was cooked as requested and very good and the portions were ample. The food was very fresh. What stood out for me was the staff, they were lovely and friendly while working extremely hard to meet all diners needs. The Crofters is well worth a visit.

An absolutely lovely place to sit down and eat at. We came here for lunch, and when we arrived we were greeted with the tasteful interior decoration that reflects the local area very well. The food was fantastic - it's what you'd expect from a highly rated restaurant and it certainly delivered; the fish and chips were cooked perfectly, but the best dish was the spaghetti carbonaro. The carbonaro was creamy, comforting and delicious. For dessert, the sticky toffee pudding was heavy, of course, but still perfect. I couldn't talk about this place without mentioning the service - we received fantastic service and have no complaints there. Finally, the location is nice, as it's close to the loch for nice views but is only 3 mins walk away from the nearest car park. Overall, highly recommend and will definitely visit again next time I'm in Fort William.

A nice little pub. Food smelled nice but didn't have any as we were going home

We had fish, chips and peas. Plenty on the plate, I couldn't eat all the chips. A bit noisy but acceptable, rugby was on TV.

Chips seemed to be made in old fishy oil.

The food is just horrible. We didn’t manage to finish our burgers and sausages. It’s too far to 4.4 stars rating.

We were a party of 4. Ordered sausages & mash, cheeseburger, and soup & toasties. The only ok meal were the toasties. Find a better place for your lunch

Absolutely gorgeous food and service! I highly recommend for either a pint or full meal. You can not beat the exceptional service....and the food quality is excellent!

Really nice meals in a fancy atmosphere. Nice service. generally a good location with a broad menu where you even find a good variety for vegetarians and kids. well done!

Didn't get a chance to eat here. Walked in and gentleman working at the front snapped at us that they had just given away their last table and wouldn't have a table for an hour. Walked by 45 minutes later and they had plenty of seating. Guy clearly wasn't having a fun day.

I have been here twice with my partner and both times have been delicious! Staff are friendly and the place is so chilled. I have no doubt we will be back for a visit next time we are passing through Fort William.

Bar, pub, restaurant, all in one. Relaxed atmosphere, delicious authentic regional food. Definitely a recommendation for a relaxing evening.

Great little bar, the food is amazing, definable recommed the tomato soup best I've ever had, also the haggis bites were amazing.

Traditionally, we ate fresh Fish and chips. Fantastic. Fresh, tasty fish, huge fries, very good. The service was pleasant, although we had to wait a long time for the order to be accepted and then for the bill.

Lovely food in a great location

Stopped here for lunch after hiking with my boyfriend. We got a soup of the day - lentil soup, with toasties. Everything was delicious. The staff is super friendly. Definitely recommend 👌

Great place if you visit Fort William. We had some amazing haggis and Balmoral chicken, as well as a tasty sticky pudding. Great ambient and really friendly and attentive staff. Very good value for money too, I’d definitely recommend.

Food was lovely would definetly recomend. (slight suggestion with the sharing starter plate equal amounts of items would be better ours had 1 haggis 2 black pudding 3 mushrooms, 4 chicken it would of been better to have even 2 of each so they could be shared.)

This is a typical pub/hotel and is open reasonably early in the day. Fort William itself is a bit depressed looking at the moment and I didn't find all that many dog friendly places to eat (or maybe they just don't advertise the fact). However, The Crofters was excellent. Really nice friendly staff who took time to have a chat. The food (steak pie, mash and veg) was excellent and there was PLENTY of it. They even make the dog a ham sandwich and didn't charge for it. The dog was also impressed ! Recommend this place 100%

We had a fantastic time visiting this place. Food was yummy, beer cold and selection of whiskies excellent. Next time in area we defo visit again.

Nice friendly place. Lamb was tasty but a little tough. Looked after our pup by offering water and sausages. Would definitely recommend

Seems to be new owners. The menu seemed limited, our waitress was friendly but struggled to understand our (Scottish) accent. Food was fair but my 'medium' steak was actually raw in middle. Was replaced. Very slow service. Won't be rushing back.

Had lunch as a large family group at the crofters, and really enjoyed our meal. From the warm friendly welcome on arrival, to the prompt service and good food. I had the steak pie and thought it was very tasty. Perfect pub food for a rainy day!

Foods are good, do try their special of the day. Very Nice experience for some really good Scottish foods. Remember to try the whisky!

This is exactly what I imagine a typical Scottish restaurant & pub to be. Just the right balance between an old pub and still being comfortable to sit and eat. Very nice staff who are happy to answer questions and provide advice. Especially when it comes to questions about whiskey and their recommendations. No matter what I ordered from the menu in 4 days, the food was very tasty and the price and portions were technically exactly right. If you're looking for something to do, you can play billiards and darts on site and the current football game can always be seen on TV.

I wandered into this town and found a restaurant to eat at random. The chicken in the chicken burger was a bit dry, but the pasta was delicious and the service was very good.

My beer was literally licking everywhere, and It was not a friendly place

Nipped in for a drink, thinking we'd move on somewhere else to eat but ended up staying after seeing other people's plates 😂 looks like it would serve your standard frozen pub food but everything was freshly prepared and definitely homemade. Steak and black pudding pie was phenomenal, as was the Redang Lamb curry. Huge choice on the menu and specials board, something for everyone for sure! Great selection of whisky and it's great to see a couple taps of local lager and ale. Bar staff are lovely and friendly, as are the waitresses. It's a lively place for sure but don't let that put you off 😊 Really didn't expect much from this place, but it just goes to show you shouldn't just a book! Look forward to my next visit 👌🏻

Crofter is our local pub and we go to it a fair bit. I was so disappointed last night when my friend got groped by a random drunk man and when I told one of the security guys about it all they did was have a word with him. Didn’t kick him out. This man kept approaching us all night. It was a bad reaction on their part and I’m very annoyed.

Most of the food was good but the roast dinner was horrible. Peas were cold and hard the beef was so tough not even the knife would cut it! Was clearly a microwave job. The staff were friendly.

This was a very friendly restaurant with lovely food. There is a pool table and dart board, and the staff were very helpful with an issue with the pool table. I would definitely recommend the mac and cheese as it was very tasty! The food came quickly and there was a good atmosphere. Overall I would highly recommend this pub as it is very welcoming and has very good food 😀!!!!!!!

Just lovely. Called in on the offchance of afternoon food and was really impressed! Thai bites and mushrooms to start with a Mac and Cheese for main. Server was super efficient, food was hot and tasty. The Mac and Cheese was as creamy as any I've had. All in 11/10

stopped off here when on highland tour. had lunch and a drink very nice and most importantly food hot. enjoyed it.

Great place for a meal, got the Cajun Chicken Burger and it was fantastic. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've had, and I've had a lot!

Real ales were good but a bit pricey , we didn't bother with the pizza's far to small and very overpriced for what they were atmosphere was ok

Menu et cuisine de qualité, Ambiance agréable et un service très disponible et vraiment sympathique. C’était en Avril 2023, nous en parlons encore ! Merci a l’équipe pour son accueil.

This cute little pub in the city center has it all! The menu was extensive and everything we had was delicious, there was a fun relaxed atmosphere but the best was the services. The staff were happy, helpful and added to the enjoyment of dining in this Resturant and bar. We enjoyed two of the burgers, the crofter platter and our daughter had Mac and cheese. All Yummo and we left with very full bellies! Thanks for having us!

Busy pub on Main thorough fare of Fort William. Full of locals/tourists alike. Service friendly, quick and welcoming. Prices were alright for 3 hot drinks and x1 ham and cheese sandwich (with salad/crisp garnish) and x1 haggis/cheese wrap, even though I asked for toastie. 👍

Wandered in after a long morning walking and delighted to be given a warm welcome. Staff were busy but obliging and friendly. The food was fine, standard pub fare as you'd expect but we had no issues. The chicken fajitas was excellent, large serve and extremely tasty. Just what we needed. Would definitely recommend this pub.

The best food I have had in scotland by far! Service was welcoming, warm and attentive. The steak ale and pie was amazing, hearty and proportioned perfectly. View at the back was picturesque, with a variety of different people. Next time I come back will visit again. 100% recommend those who come to fort Williams to give this pub a try and you won't be disappointed. Also dog friendly for those with dogs.

Endroit très sympa ! Large choix pour manger, et boire (ils font même des spritz) a des prix très raisonnables. Nous sommes restés assez longtemps dans la soirée et l’ambiance était top avec un service très aimable !

We visited this place twice in one day. Initially to the bar where the crowd were chatty, warm and friendly. On their recommendation we decided to return in the evening and have a meal. One of us had sirloin steak and the other a loaded burger. The restaurant was busy! Both meals were excellent and the staff were organised, attentive and their timing to take your order was on point. However, after giving us our bill they then forgot about us (our table was in a blind spot to the till) and we had to pay as we left. This was a tiny thing though and we felt they still deserved a tip as up to that point the food and service was first class. Highly recommended

Like this place, good food and service. Will come back again.
